We tried another doggie care very close to our house but he was uninvited from that place after a few weeks. Luckily we the found Pet Nation. The staff here are real pros who know how to handle him and make accommodations so he can still visit. They continue to let him play with other dogs that are compatible with his energy in smaller groups and on days when those dogs aren't available he gets some quality human time. He's been there for over a year now and gets super excited when we ask him if he's "ready to see his friends". Lastly they have parties and holidays for the dogs where they get dressed up and get their picture taken. It's just a really fun and caring environment for dogs, even the "high maintenance" ones.

I had been internet stalking Best Friends for a couple of weeks via Facebook, and love how much activity there is at their day camp- they have at least one social event every week, ranging from puzzle day to movie and popcorn day to a whole week of winter Olympics activities coming up late in February. My black lab Prim is almost 2 years old, and I didn't want her to go to daycare just to be let out a couple of times a day, I wanted her to have fun while I'm at work. This is a perfect option. They have streaming video on their website so you can puppy cam it up throughout the day and see what your dog is up to. From watching the first day, Prim got lots of time to socialize, and LOTS of time to run around outside, which is her favorite thing to do! They have a "nap time" during lunch time, between about 11:30-1ish, but other than that, the pups are up and playing all day. Prim was asleep before we even got out of the lot when I picked her up. Best Friends also provided a little "report card" of the day on what she was upto that day and her new puppy friends at camp!

We put our dogs up for Thanksgiving week and picked them up over the weekend. Immediately we noticed that something seemed off with our smaller dog (min pin). He was shaking and not acting himself. We took him home and he has been sick ever since, not being able to eat and having liquid diarrhea. Three full days of this. This dog is never sick. We took both our dogs there completely healthy and were to be boarded together and not take part in daycare (i.e not exposed to other dogs). The fact that he got sick means something occurred during his care. Was it sanitized? Was he exposed to other dogs (we noticed what looked like bit marks on his head)? All I know is I'm extremely disappointed after paying a premium price in this boarding business. Another thing that bothered me was that my other dog had a plastic collar so tight around her that it was a struggle to cut off with scissors. Based on my recent experience, my recommendation is to avoid!
