I have two high energy pit mixes whose leash reactivity had gotten worse in the past half year, and it had reached a point where it was unmanageable because they would start barking and lunging at other dogs even from a healthy distance. I met with a few trainers to get a sense of their methods and styles, and Ceslie felt like the best match because of how she took the extra time to know my dogs and understand their behavior before recommending a plan, compared to others who jumped into training without asking many questions. There was a noticeable difference in how my dogs responded to Ceslie after their first class. She was thoughtful in customizing a plan that fit their needs, from teaching proper corrections to reinforcing obedience to providing the right equipment. She also taught me how to be a better handler (something often overlooked in training!), and it's truly strengthened my relationship with my pups. We had weekly sessions over the course of a month and there has been significant improvement in my dogs' behavior. Walks are stress-free and enjoyable again because we're able to bypass other dogs without issues, their door etiquette has improved, and we're now slowly working on their separation anxiety (slow and steady process but we're making progress!). Ceslie has been incredibly supportive and responsive through it all and I'm very grateful for her guidance with what I thought was a hopeless situation. I'm now considering sending the pups to her daycare program!

The kitties gave their immediate approval when they came out from hiding and actually greeted her with head bumps and asked for more petting. For cat owners, you know that's the best you can get. MY DOG ALMOST DIED LAST FRIDAY FROM THE BACTERIAL PNEUMONIA…read moreSHE CONTRACTED AT THIS FACILITY. When I picked her up she was skin and bones and her eye was crusted shut. I'm talking 10 days of eye crust - no effort was made to remove. I thought her eyeball was missing because it was so covered in crust. The worst part about this situation is that I was available to pick her up FOUR days earlier had they alerted me to her declining health. Instead she was so skinny and SICK when I picked her up that she had to be hospitalized for the weekend. I essentially paid $1000 for them to board her to neglect her to now be responsible for a $8k vet bill. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT SEND YOUR BELOVED PETS TO THIS FACILITY. My dog is now home with a feeding tube and still very ill.

I am sure many may have had a positive experience at the Sausalito Pet Hotel & Spa, but…read moreunfortunately I did not. I work in Sausalito, and came across the website and yelp reviews - which all seemed positive. My dog was just in need of a bath, nail trim, etc - no cut. I called to schedule a same-day appointment, and Becky (I believe her name was?) was very nice and told me to drop off my dog in about an hour because she had to call the groomer in from Petaluma. I went down to drop my dog off and had to wait a bit for Ellen (the groomer) to arrive. Becky said I could drop my dog with the man at boarding, but being my first time there, I wanted to chat with the groomer to explain what I wanted. After waiting about 20 minutes, the man from boarding came over and said he would sign me in and I could drop off my dog with him. I decided to, being that I had been gone for a while and needed to return to work. I filled out the information card, and dropped off Tommy (my golden retriever) with the man. As I was walking out to my car, I passed Ellen (the groomer) as she was arriving- she had all of her dog cleaning supplies with her. She asked, "did you just drop off your dog?". I told her yes, and asked when I could expect him to be ready. She asked what I wanted done & I explained (just as I explained when I made the appointment) I wanted a wash, nail trim, etc. (no cut). She responded, "WHAT? NO CUT? I drove all this way just for THAT? It's a long way to drive for no cut!" I took this to be incredibly rude, so I decided to go back in and get Tommy and forgo giving my business to someone who would treat a customer this way. When I went back in, she told me that her comment wasn't rude and asked that I not take my dog because she is a "good groomer". I obviously did take him, and called her boss to explain what happened. Becky did offer me a discount and a different groomer, but I decided to pass on that.
