I went on my birthday with my family last year and despite there being 18 of us, we were served quite quickly and the food was delicious. You can always count on seeing someone you know, despite it being a tiny place in the middle of nowhere. There is one bus an hour heading up to Holme, but really you need a car - or good walking shoes! Definitely worth a visit for any locals who haven't been and any visitors to the area who are always made welcome.

We did however have a great bottle of red which we enjoyed. When we mentioned this to the waitress (who was efficient) we were told it was the chefs first day...Should be his last as well. It was such a dissapointment, we have loved the food and atmosphere here so many time before, but on a Sat Night to only have 14 people in the whole place speaks volumes, or maybe it was REM coming out of the sound system that was putting people off, definantly not the right backround music for 'fine dining' as much as I like REM....
