We had booked their appointment weeks ago. They sent text confirmations, and emails asking that we give them plenty of notice if we have to cancel. I certainly understand that. They called YESTERDAY to make sure we'd be there (yes, we will). So today, 35 minutes before our appointment time, I was told their appointment was CANCELED BY THEM because of lack of groomers (one called in sick). I asked if another groomer could take them, no, they were booked. Can they revise the schedule a bit? No, they didn't "feel comfortable" doing that (unless I just wanted just baths - no, I can do that at home). Can they accommodate us in any way at all??? NO, they kept repeating that a groomer was out. This was from a so-called MANAGER, BTW. I accept some responsibility for this for being naive enough to think they'd offer better service (maybe they improved?), but no they have not. I honestly don't understand how they stay in business. Well, maybe it's the exorbitantly high prices they charge on products. I wish I could give zero stars. To be treated this way repeatedly is unacceptable.

Last year during Christmas travels Blondie stayed and got sick from anxiety and they cared for her and treated her and when we returned she was happy and healthy and she is always happy to see us, but runs back to the staff for love before she leaves. She has been in multiple times for baths and nail trimming and always comes back pretty and primmed. Highly recommended!

I paid for day play for three days, and they didn't receive it. Malibu was supposed to be given medication in capsule form--he needed two every 12 hours--but only one was missing from the bottle when I picked them up. That's completely unacceptable. Even worse, when I brought them home, their urine was extremely dark and acidic, a clear sign they were not properly hydrated. It's horrifying to think they were left with little to no water in their kennels. I was told that Finn, my German Shepherd, was "vocal." He's a dog--of course he needs engagement and playtime, especially since I paid extra for that very thing. It's beyond frustrating to think he was ignored or punished for simply being a dog. What's most upsetting is the lack of professionalism. Everyone I spoke to seemed young, untrained, and completely overwhelmed. It's obvious the business is being run by people who either aren't qualified or simply don't care. My pets are family, and they deserve to be treated as such--not neglected and mistreated. Please, if you're considering this place--do your homework. Check the cameras, ask questions (and pay attention to how inconsistent the answers are), and trust your gut. My babies can't speak, so I'm speaking up for them. No animal should go through what they went through. Also not to mention they kept stating they were "short staffed" which is why every dog got let out but my two. DO NOT DO IT!! I wish I could not leave a rating or give an option to shut it down. Peace of Mind is bonded and insured. Ms. Creel is the proprietor and a Registered Veterinary Technician. She offers a couple of levels of service, visiting the house as needed or even sleeping over to care for pets. Ms. Creel met us at the house. She provide references and proof of insurance. We worked through a checklist of the dog's needs and habits. She then spent time with the dog. We agreed on a twice a day schedule to visit the house which included a substantial walk every evening. She also agreed to pick up the newspaper, mail and water a few plants. While we were away, Ms. Creel took great care of our shedding monster. She texted us regularly with updates, and left a running series of notes on how the day went. We have used Ms. Creel 3X in the past year and hope to continue using her. It is about twice the cost of boarding the dog which is well worth the peace of mind (no pun intended). I strongly recommend Peace of Mind and Ms. Creel.
