Street tacos, empanadas, quesadillas Tortas, burritos and tamales- I think that is the whole menu. No Tex mex, no chimichangas, no Speedy Gonzalez special- this is more authentic. In fact, the waitress/cashier was the only other person in the building that spoke ANY English- including other patrons. Is this fancy? Nope. Is it clean? Yup. The shrimp street tacos were the best food in our opinion- tied with the chips and salsa. Also had carne asada and chorizo tacos and Burria empanadas and the shrimp was the best. Entire restaurant and bathrooms are handicap accessible, but this place is not right next to parking. It is in a little outdoor mall area, at the back, so you'll need to park and go maybe 100-150 yards to the door. If you need fried ice cream and a mariachi band, you need to stop elsewhere, but if you are looking for good quality, authentic food for a really reasonable price- this is it.

Wanted to go to lunch w my aunt before leaving town, to a spot she'd never been. I found this place…read moreand we took a little drive. When we arrived we saw the tables outside, it was kinda windy and chilly so we hoped there were tables inside. There weren't but the stars are for Vanessa Galan! She promptly greeted us and told us about the establishment. I was looking around, taking pictures and she handed me a menu. I saw they had a location in Mt. Washington! She told me they were a larger location with tables indoors, and more of the experience we wanted for lunch. She did recommend the chili and pulled pork. I will say that this location has brisket (which I was strongly considering) and MW does not. But Vanessa was explaining that her brother and sister in law (Kim - she's awesome!) own them. Love supporting local, family owned so we headed to Mt. Washington. Also she explained that she makes the marinades and applies them to the marinated meats herself. Thanks Vanessa! I'll be back one day for brisket!!!

I waited 3-4 mins and was handed the food. It was $9.45 after tax for the sandwich. I ate it out in the truck and wish I could have said it was 5 out of 5 best ever but I can't. The sandwich was small and not that tasty unfortunately for the price especially. It had no Smokey flavor and just tasted like pulled beef roast on a roll with bbq sauce. I did not enjoy and was really wanting to like it. I'll give it another shot with another food item but I'll pass on this sandwich

Now for the Food. I was impressed. Good Mediterranean food in Louisville is rare. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and the food delivered. She ordered a chicken gyro. Her fries came out fresh and seasoned. Her sandwich was the best gyro we have had in Louisville. I ordered the Sparta bowl lunch portion. Fresh, flavorful, and balanced. Nothing negative to say. Overall. If you have not been here you should make time to visit. Nobody is perfect so here is my minor nitpick. I ordered a Sparta bowl and did not get a fork. I walked back up and grabbed one. If that is the worst problem they have, they are doing something right. I look forward to going back.
