I use the Walgreen's app for convenience and to decrease the load of calls to the pharmacy, but the automated system doesn't work well. Most recently, I used the app to scan the bar codes on my four medications to refill. All four were accepted. I initially got an automated call saying there was a problem with filling one of the prescriptions and they would contact the doctor. The next day I got an automated call saying the prescriptions were ready to pick up. I stopped by the pharmacy and only 2 were ready. The pharmacy tech set the other two up for refill and said they'd be ready by 5, which was 2 hours later. In the past, I've checked the automated phone system to see if prescriptions were ready and was told no. When I called the pharmacy, the tech said they were. Another time, I got a call to say my prescriptions were ready and went to pick them up and they had none ready. And on and on it goes. All that to basically say...forget the app, turn off prescription alerts by phone and email and just call to speak with someone.

I am not sure that the medicines that I come here to get would even come close to adding the additional hours to my life that this pharmacy has stolen. You walk into what's essentially a throwback small town version of a cvs or Walgreens with some souvenir stuff, snacks and Knick knacks. In the very back they have an active and working pharmacy. In the other corner you have a 50s style throwback diner that pumps out burgers, dogs, root beer floats and ice cream cones all with counter top seating and couple table booths. Me and my family along with our friends family was in Bardstown for a mini day trip. Our party of 9 decided to grab a quick bite as we heard good things about this little diner. We placed our order and set on the counter top stools. We sampled the menu pretty good. Got everything. From burgers, chicken sandwiches , grilled cheese, chili cheese dogs, Ice cream floats, milkshakes and ice cream. Now unfortunately, our fun trip was struck short by a family tragedy. Right as my chili cheese dog and root beer float arrived my wife received a phone call informing her that her father passed away. The patrons and workers here (small place so no hiding anything) took notice of what was Happening and before she could get off the phone they was placing our food in to go boxes and cups and some super generous and gracious woman already paid for our bill and told us to get on our way as soon as possible so my wife could be with her mom and brothers. Everyone here was super kind and despite the devastating news it gave us some solace that there still was genuine good and caring people in this world. Because of this even If the food and pricing here was not good (which it was all very good and cheap from what we got to try) I was giving this place a 5 star. I scarfed my chili cheese dog down in like one bite while running out the door. That one bite was very tasty and my wife took two bites of her burger before the call and she said it was very good. We absolutely will come back. And I know it's a long shot (bardstown is a small town with little yelp representation) but if the lady who sprung into action before we could even think about it reads this we truly thank you (I wish I would of been of present mind to get an address or something to send a thank you card). Also a huge thanks to that staff who moved and acted quickly to get us on our way so we could be with the family. Truly left a lasting and positive impression that we will be eternally grateful for.

Then she was the one that rang me out, again, not talking to me. I thought that maybe she was just quiet and shy. I then came back in to run to the bathroom before leaving and she was laughing and smiling and talking to her coworkers. Hmmm... I didn't get a smile OR an actual rely when I asked a question but she could hoot it up with her fellow employees. That's nice. Coffee was ok. We got the bottom of the pots. The same girl changed out the pots as soon as I filled our cups. I would think that someone who was out for great customer service would have been like "Let's get you a fresh cup of coffee." But again, she didn't talk to me soooo... not sure she cared about wowing customers.

The coffee machine is a bit unique as it's an electronic touch screen machine... not a normal drip brew coffee. Not even sure how it works but my husband said it was good. We also grabbed the kids donuts. (Though, our oldest said it was a "3/5"). I contemplated getting something from their hot foods area but decided I didn't need anything. The staff were all friendly. We'll be back next time we're in town!

But after using them we were very happy with how long they lasted and the way our skin felt after showering. We totally recommend her products. Also, if you purchase 12 bars you save .50 cents per bar. Robin is wonderful regarding positive customer service. Her shop is right off the town square near the museum, parking is available near the shop. Do stop in her shop, meet Robin, and purchase her soap products. I especially love like the Rhett Butler and Eucalyptus Mint scented body soap. After you buy the soap have lunch at Mammy's just a short walk from Robins shop.
