I had a terrible experience at this dentist office. At first the front desk receptionist seemed…read morevery professional, told me to visit the website and fill out the paperwork..so I did that. She called 2 days in advance to confirm my appointment, i missed her call - big mistake! Because when i called and confirmed 30 minutes later, she quickly said "ok, we've got you" and hung up...I show up to my appointment 15 minutes early and was told "oh I don't have you on the list...but I will process you after this other lady." Needless to say after an hour + later waiting without being seen, i asked for all my documents to be shredded only for the front desk staff to tell me - I was waiting because I had not confirmed my appointment?! Really! I said never the less, I want my materials shredded and I will find another dentist. Do not be fooled, this office is unprofessional.

Never even made it in for our appointment. My husband and I made an appointment for 6 o'clock today…read morewhich is Tuesday, April 5 and we made the appointment about a month ago. So I've gotten 1 million texts and emails reminding me of the appointment. Which is fine whatever. Then I get a call this morning from a La Plata high DEF location asking me if I can change the appointment to earlier in the day and I told her no because I made the appointment later so we could make it work with our schedule. So then she says OK well you'll need to be here by 5:40 so you can fill out all the paperwork. So I said fine we'll be there by then and we hung up the phone. Then about three hours later the same girl calls back and says she's from the Waldorf high DEF location which is where our appointment was scheduled, and she says that now you'll have to be here at 5 o'clock so we can make sure everything is correct. And I said we can't do that and then I said you know what I'll just go ahead and cancel the appointment. So I never even got in the door of this place and I can already tell the way that they do business is absolutely horrible.

Dr. Herry is an excellent primary care physician. His nursing staff are equally exceptional. They…read morepay a great deal of attention to patients, a critical element of healthcare. Understandably, such an exceptional doctor is in high demand. Unfortunately, a wait time of 30 minutes or more beyond a scheduled appointment is the norm. This complicates service. I will continue to see Dr. Herry as I am retired and generally able to schedule 30 minute appointments that I understand will take 2 hours. I suggest scheduling appointment times appropriately and change the existing system. This has been going on for years. Given the age of many of the patients, it appears that it is fine with them to wait around for hours. In the future I may no longer be able to do so and required to find a physician with a support staff that respects the time of clients. Do some math. Figure out the average time spent with a patient and the average arrival time of patients. Use this to create a realistic schedule.
