Had a telemedicine appointment on 8/15 with Denise Schow at 8:15. Was able to get early relief from my job.. 8:15 rolls around and nothing. I was left waiting for the Dr for over 30 minutes. I contacted the office, which left me waiting on hold for 30 minutes, just so they can talk to a middleman about my appointment. To be honest I don't think I ever got a good reason as to why my DR was a no call no show... instead of a reason, I get a nice reschedule for next week (mind you, if I wanted one with my actual DR, it was gonna be 2weeks) Absolutely zero accountability from this office. read more

2 stars cause the Dr is friendly & easy to speak to. Unfortunately they fail to follow through. They are twice as much as the new dr we just found & refuse to send in for an increase in availability. For 3 years now they've refused to do anything. We even tried another DrMJ in st Pete. It was the same issue. This clinic will take $180 every 7 months for a 3-5 minute office visit. After that consultation they do not follow through & do not make sure you are receiving everything needed for your care. Decent initial experience but absolutely HORRIBLE experience trying to get anyone's attention afterwards! I wanted to increase my flower limit, I couldn't find the form online, my doctor was no longer at the location. His number (online with the state) was a nightmare of sub phone numbers with no information on which was his. BUT I paid DocMJ, not the doctor so what is the situation when my doctor leaves DocMJ?? I have been waiting weeks since filling out their requested forms and still. Main office - I communicated with multiple people, they were completely NOT compassionate to my over 11 painful (rare) medical conditions and ran me around in circles for about a MONTH over a form that should have been available on their website!! The staff at the "home" office is unprofessional, not helpful, not kind, compassionate or representative of what DocMJ says on their website. I wouldn't recommend DocMJ to anyone because if you need something after they have your money they are NOT helpful, kind, compassionate or caring at least from my personal experience. I wish I could give a better review, I've been a customer here for 3 years. You pay when you make the appointment... But when I made my appointment I assumed it was Telehealth, same as last year. When I saw the text that morning saying that it was in Clearwater, I tried to call but was unable to wait the 11 minute hold and had to hang up. So ff to the next day when I tried to call back to reschedule, and after a 14 minute hold spoke to the rudest person I've spoken to from a Dr. Office! Max was absolutely the most uncompassionate person. I think he's in the wrong field. He definitely shouldn't be a receptionist for a Dr Office! Then I went in with the doctor and she asked me if I had any questions and how was the marijuana was working. Less than 1 minute and I was back in my car on my way. First, I need to say that the doctors and staff at the clinics have been very nice, informative and helpful. The low rating is for the company itself. I had an urgent matter. DocMJ kept me on hold 20 minutes then a computer took my name & number so they would call me back. This happened 3 times that day and again the next morning. Never answered or called back. I had to call the State for help. They advised to drive to the clinic. Evidently this is happening to others. There is no company phone number or address to talk to anyone in management. TLDR: Higher priced than most other places and no respect for the patients' time or schedule. They totally overbook, and when you come for your appointment, there is over an hour wait. This is not a fluke. It happened the last time I recertified and they _promised_ me that it would not happen again. It would not happen again until the very next visit, is what they meant to say. I had an appointment on July 10 at 11:00 a.m. When I arrived, there were 6 people sitting in the waiting room and 1 person in front of me in line. After checking him in (or whatever) they told him to go wait in his car. By that time about 15 minutes passed and no other patient was seen. So, still 6 people and at least 1 guy in his car. When they told me to go wait in my car and they would call me, I asked them how long. DocMJ: "Ummmm, maybe 45-60 minutes. Me: That long? I had an appointment for 11. DocMJ: Well, there are a lot of new patients today." Me: So, this happened the last time I had an appointment, when I waited for approximately 90 minutes, and it wasn't even this crowded and the person I made the appointment with promised this wouldn't happen. D SCHOW AND DIANE, THE MED ASSISTANT, AT THE CLEARWATER OFFICE*** I have been a patient of DocMJ since 2017 and a patient of Dr. Denise Schow, at the Clearwater location, since 2019. I've had no issues with the process until now. I scheduled my appointment with Dr. Schow, for 5/16/223 @ 12:45pm. When I got to the Clearwater office the medical assistant, Diane, wasn't at the desk. I signed the sign-in sheet at 12:40pm. There was another woman that came in after me. While we sat there waiting, a representative from MUV came in and gave us a coupon. Then Dr. Schow came out and apologized that noone was at the desk. She stated that they were having some computer issues that Diane was dealing with then asked who was first. The other woman said her appointment was at 1:30pm. So, Dr. Schow and I walked into her office. She did no intake, ie: blood pressure, weight, etc... we discussed my recommendations. She stated that she had everything updated and that I was all set until December. When we exited her office the medical assistant, Diane was back at the desk and a man was sitting in the lobby. Dr. Schow started speaking to him, asking if the issues were fixed. I went into the bathroom, then left. I received an email and a text at 1:31pm thanking me for choosing DocMJ. On Thursday, 5/18 I received a text telling me that my recommendation was expiring in 7 days and to make an appointment. I thought signals got crossed and deleted it. Then, I received an email saying that my appointment fee was refunded, except $50. I called customer service, they informed me that I missed my appointment and would need to reschedule. I explained that I did not miss it and told them all the details. I spoke to 2 different CS reps, Hannah and Jason, daily, for the next week. CS Supervisors never called me. They only spoke to Dr. Schow and Diane, who told them that I wasn't there! Diane didn't even interact with me! Dr. Schow and Diane continued to LIE and GASLIGHT me. Trying to convince me that I wasn't there! Even after I drove all the way back to the office, thinking that Dr. Schow would certainly have my back, as she was the one that my appointment was with. She stated she remembered, but she needed Diane to speak with me, as she had another patient. Diane continued to LIE and GASLIGHT me. Telling me that I was lying because she didn't have any intake information on me in their system, so I wasn't there. I was shocked and done with DocMJ. I left there and immediately contacted the CEO of the company. I explained everything to him and sent him the emails that I had received. He assured me that he would get to the bottom of it. The following day, I received an email stating that my $50 was refunded. Then, I received a call from the CEO stating that my recommendation was updated and all funds returned. He apologized for all the trouble. I asked what the deciding factor was for them to admit their lies. He stated that I gave him an accurate description of the man that was there working on their system. I will stay with DocMJ even though this experience caused me much distress, I'll try another doctor, another location. But Dr. Schow and Diane will never see me again. They are not honest. Be aware DocMj is sending their emails out too early. A month too early causing patients to make appointments ahead of time and then they want to charge them twice in a month like me. Their billing system BE AWARE they are trying to charge me a monthly fee twice in one month for two WHAT? When I'm only one person they can't explain it me to make any sense except to blame me for making an appointment as instructed by their email. Where are your account managers? Absolutely terrible. ​Theymy flower dosage even though I am a disabled veteran and need it. Not only for the pain, but for the cheaper price compared to vape carts. They refused to work with me and leave me two options. THe first being that I can back to the VA and get back on opioids and the second being just sit here in pain until my flower renews. In a very generic atmosphere where you are forced to PrePay for your appointment they ask a few questions take your temperature and send you on your way. In Florida we are forced to do this every 7 months. It doesn't seem fare the for a 5 min renewal session we should have to pay the same amount, $189.00 twice a year. I have been a patient for a few years. Every time you go, it's a different set of doctors. Usually, doctors who don't have an active practice. I was given the lowest prescribed dosage initially and recently asked to have my dose increased because of a newly diagnosed health issue that is giving me a lot of pain. I called the office and was told I had to request online and was given an email address. It ended up being another clinic's email address! I then looked up the correct email address and contacted them, adding all of my contact info. The doctor or anyone at DocMJ NEVER called me or texted me to discuss my concerns. A week later I got an email denying my request. I am a retired RN so I understand a thing or two about healthcare. Dr. Monson and DocMJ have made it clear that once you pay your fee, you are merely an inconvenience after that. Recently I went to DocMj for my medical recommendation. Their office is located right off US 19 just north of Sunset point. It is tucked back in a business center, On the east side. The signs are small . It is the same office center as the Clearwater Trulieve. When it is time to renew, they send you plenty of notice for the process. I received emails and texts. The online renewal makes the process quick and easy. I was able to set an appointment and pay online. I met with Dr Calkin with a few days. There isn't a long wait for appointments. When I arrived I was greeted by the receptionist. There wasn't a wait and I was directed in. The rooms are large. Much larger then any exam room at my primary. The process is quick, I was in and out of the office within twenty min. I recommend DocMj if you are in need of a medical recommendation for a medical cannabis card. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. I went to this location to get a recommendation for pain and anxiety. I arrived at the location 20 minutes early and was told I would be handed paperwork. 45 MINUTES goes by after seeing 3 or 4 people taken in before me. I go up and ask what is going on, the rude lady behind the counter says, oh, you didn't fill out your paperwork. You will have to come back. I ask, what paperwork?? She says, the paperwork we emailed you. She says, I didn't get any email and show her my inbox for when they said it sent. She says. Well, it's too late now. You will have to reschedule. All totaled I have now been there for 1 hour. I get a refund the next day for $119. $50 LESS than I paid, 3 WEEKS in advance. I call up and some guy calls me and says, yeah, sorry, you didn't fill out your paperwork, so you were charged the $50 it said we would charge if you didn't fill in out in the email. I say, the email that I DIDN'T GET?? They said it was impossible that I didn't get it because their system showed it sent successully. So if you are going here and don't want to get SCREWED out of $50. Make SURE you have your stupid paperwork filled out. They bounce you around from person to person hoping you will just give up. Spent an hour on the phone with them trying to cancel an appointment. I'm an Army veteran who already has my medical card here in FL. I called to inquire about making an appointment to get my recommendation renewed. I spoke with the representative at length about how I needed to wait on the okay from my cardiologist because of a heart issue that was recently discovered due to my exposure to toxic burn pits in Afghanistan. He told me I could book the appointment, since they fill up fast, and if I needed to I could cancel AT ANY TIME prior to my appointment. I asked about that more in depth because of the stated refund policy and he said it won't be an issue. My cardiologist and electrophysiologist called me yesterday and advised against using medical cannabis for the time being until I undergo several cardiac procedures at the VA. This includes an EP study. So I call DocMJ to cancel and they deny giving the full refund as stated by the representative I mentioned earlier. After a long back and forth I said that I would exercise my right as a consumer to post negative reviews on their "business" on various sites. She said I can't "threaten" my way into getting my full refund. I said that there is no "threat". Every consumer who utilized a business has the right to review said business' practices however they deem necessary. I will not be threatened into NOT writing negative reviews when necessary. To my fellow veterans: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We already get screwed over enough by the government/VA, don't waste your resources with them. This is not the first time this place has screwed me over. When Hurricane Irma hit last year apparently DocMJ was not prepared and a lot of recommendations were messed up in the computer system which prevented me from obtaining medicine at a time I really needed it. No other provider had a problem with their systems. I had to wait nearly a week for them to fix the issue. That's a week without meds I needed for my wellness. There are so many more reputable and respectful doctors that would be more than happy to assist you. The great thing about being a veteran is that we have a HUGE network of groups to pass along information about businesses to avoid and/or not give our money to. I will be contacting all of the ones I am apart of to let them have the tens of thousands of veterans here in FL be aware of my experience including the Wounded Warrior Project, the IAVA, local AMVETs, American Legion, VFW, DAV. Again, I was provided misinformation by a DocMJ staff member simply to get me to book an appointment (and get my money) by saying that the appointments book fast and then reiterating that if I needed to cancel AT ANY TIME I would not have an issue getting a full refund.
