Left that day saying what a genuinely nice guy. Took me a few years and tons of research as to what make and model boat I wanted, settling on Crownline and I finally pulled the trigger, frequently entering the showroom numerous times picking his brain about all things bowrider and as I said, finally pulled the trigger. Coincidentally, unknown to me a friend told me he also uses Kehls for winter storage and couldn't be happier. Anyways, throughout the process I came to know his 2 brothers Mike and Joe as well as Joe's wife Anne whom handled the closing. From 2020 on, I have had only an excellent experience with the ENTIRE Kehl family. They sell family boats as well as fishing boats. You would be making a huge mistake if you didn't at least pay them at least one visit; I'm pretty certain you'll be happy you did!

We had a great time for about an hour or so but about half way back the engine started sputtering and then died. We tried a few things but admittingly while we can both turn a wrench, neither of us are all that handy when it come to boats. While he was trying to access the carb (it's a pretty old but cool boat), I was already on Yelp looking for help. The fellas at Kehl's were as cool as a cucumber and as nice as my uncles. We tried a few more things but to no avail. We simply cracked a couple colds ones and waited a short while for them to arrive and tow us back to their marina. While I didn't ask him how much they charged for their work, I do know they were able to get her fired up the next day and he was pretty pleased with it all. I don't own my own boat yet (aside from canoes/kayaks), but when I do, I'm surely glad I now know of a friendly, reliable and honest boat mechanic/ marina nearby!

I knew that Patchogue Shores Marina sold exactly what I wanted, Glastron boats, so I waited to visit the marina in person. Was I lucky that through serendipity that Patchogue Shores Marina had exactly what I wanted, yes! but I am even luckier that David and his sales manager Fletch Adamo treated me fairly and professionally. Through every step of the process Fletch and David have been helpful. They made a process that can be difficult in the best of times as simple and accommodating through a very complicated time. In addition to the myriad of boats docked in the water, there are a ton of them parked and stored in the parking lot as well. If you are a boat buff or even a photography aficionado, you can spend hours there appreciating all of the different angles, shadows, shapes. As I walked down to the end of the dock, I received a number of hellos and friendly waves from folks boarding and deboarding their boats. For the last month I've been ignoring an itch to buy and restore an old watercraft and after this tour, it just got even more intense. I look forward to one day pulling up and paying to use their fuel station, which, according to a fellow Yelper, is pretty reasonably priced.

The fuel is reasonably priced and the sewage pump out - well you have to do that yourself, and if you are like my buddy who doesn't follow directions, the resulting Trevi Fountain of feces (and maybe hepatitis) is worthy of "World's funniest videos" if done incorrectly. It will take a bit of time to get into this fuel dock as it is located at the head of the harbor and there are some 250,000,000 boats moored in there - so make sure your captain knows how to drive his boat.... argghhhh Over and out
