Blue Point Marina

Blue Point Marina

I've never been one to be take the time to write reviews, but as a customer of Blue Point Marina…read morefor the past seven years and a boat owner all of my life, I have to say that Blue Point Marina has been the greatest Marina I've ever kept my boat at. If you want an honest family run business with high quality mechanics and a beautiful well taken care of property for great rates, then the Blue Point Marina is the place for you! You will be welcomed into the office by the Marina's owner, Flo Svendsen, who has been a success in the boating business for well over forty years, and right off the bat she will treat you like a son or daughter. Her son, Jon Svendsen is an over qualified mechanic and one of the highest rated in the state, let alone the country and he is by far the most fairly priced for the amount of hands on work that he puts in. They are both very down to earth and always put the customer first. If you are looking for a beautiful marina to keep your boat docked in for the summer and winterized and stored throughout the winter, a warm, trustworthy family run business that always puts the customer first, a team of smart and experienced mechanics, and a great location that your family will enjoy spending their summer only a few feet from Corey Beach, JTs on the Bay and Flo's Luncheonette, Blue Point Marina is one of the most special places to visit while in Blue Point. Like I said, I am not one to write reviews, but The Blue Point Marina deserves every second of the time that I spent putting this together. Being their "customer" for seven seasons, my family and I have never felt like just "customers" since the first day we were welcomed by Flo and her late LARGER THAN LIFE husband Howie (who we miss dearly, but are so glad to have met such an amazing man), we have always been made to feel as if we were part of the marina family and that's what you want when you're living the boating lifestyle. The Blue Point Marina will not treat you like just another number, you willbe taken care of and it is nearly impossible to leave that marina without a smile on your face. Trust me, I will be keeping my boat right where it is at the Blue Point Marina for as long as they'll have me! And I promise you will not be treated half as good at any other marina on Long Island. Peace and love to the entire Svendsen Family, all of my boating friends that I have made down there and thank you for the past seven fantastic summers, it's been a blast! - The M Family

I was invited to board a 24' sailboat that was docked here at Coastal Yachting and Marine. My main…read moreconcern was parking since I wasn't too sure if I needed a permit to park on the residential streets... my concerns were immediately washed away as I rolled in and saw a good sized parking lot that had plenty of spaces left. As the captain of the boat walked out to greet me and guide me to the boat, I couldn't help but be in awe by some of the relics that were around me. The coolest thing I spotted was this super cute little blue truck. I asked the captain what it was for and he replied it's used to tug the boats. What!? That little thing? Well the saying is true, you can't judge a book by it's cover! While I love being the first to review a business on Yelp, I want to make sure I leave their page better than I found it. In addition to storage and docking, they also sell yachts, sailboats, powerboats and a ton of gear. -------- Here is some info that I found on their website (sadly I don't see any hours that I can post here): "Coastal Yachting Center is our Full Service Boatyard and Marina. We offer Summer Dockage that is convenient to Fire Island Beaches the Great South Bay's sheltered anchorages and to Fire Island Inlet for Offshore Fishing and Sailing. We offer a range of Winter Storage Plans to meet your needs - from In the Water Storage to a full package that includes Storage and Recommissioning. We are here to help. Give us a call or stop by."
