Absolutely packed at a half hour early so be sure to come early to get a seat. We lucked out and got the last picnic table. Waitresses walk around and take orders- be prepared to wait and be patient to put your order in. Check out the online menu as menus are sparse. There are a few walk up bars to get drinks as well, quick service there. We ordered pizza and curds & it didn't take too long to get our food which was surprising and nice. But WHY WHY WHY do you remove all the umbrellas during dinner hour at 5:45 pm - for the music??? Everyone could see the band just fine with umbrellas up. Weekend trip to Breezy Point for NYE weekend. We came to Dockside for drinks and apps. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. The food menu included sandwiches, apps, burgers, and pizza. Not an extensive list of items but it gets the job done. Prices seem like typical resort prices. Cheese curds were $11.00 for a basket. Live music was playing during our visit. Dockside serves bar food and burgers. The Nachos were huge and filled with chicken and cheese. The chicken sandwich was cooked perfect and very filling. They have live music at night on the weekends and this bar gets really packed. There is also outdoor seating on the lake that is super nice. Over the Christmas holiday week we dined here as a family of 15 (5 kids). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their burgers, pizza, cheese curds -- and the most impressive part was how hard-working the blonde female waitress was. She single-handedly took care of the Entire restaurant (with help from the cook) -- it was a busy night and we were all impressed with the quality of the food considering the shortage of staff. Drive or boat to this place on a warm sunny day for a perfect lakeside snack and sip. The expansive patio can fill up fast during evenings with live entertainment but it is worth showing up early to snag a seat. The food is slightly above average bar food with some hidden gems like the Walleye Fingers, but the reason for choosing this place should be the view and atmosphere of being right on the water. The service can get backed up as the crowds stack up but I have never had any problems and have always been impressed. TIP: When the weather is nice the live music is played on the outside on the patio (including a pretty good Elvis impersonator who has been singing on Saturdays for about the last 20 years.) Bring your own food and beer and anchor your boat just off the marina to enjoy the show without having to deal with the crowds. read more

I needed to ask for a new glass of wine since the one I got was with lipstick. The Chardonnay was bad. I am a wine connoisseur and that was not wine. I live in L.A. but get to Breezy once every year or two. In fact, I got married at the Breezy Chapel, as my wife kinda grew up at Breezy. I remember having a quite good breakfast at the upstairs restaurant in '07, before the renovation. I went back last Summer after the renovation. I went with the wife and in-laws to the new bar downstairs. The jalapeno popper serving was the largest I'd ever seen. If they were originally frozen, I don't care, they were really good. There are many kinds of pizza, esp. in L.A. I find that the pizza in MN seem to be of a thicker crust, with a lot of toppings, maybe even kinda sloppy. This is kind of what I got at dockside and I have to consider that this pretty darned good pizza is the best pizza I've ever had in a bar. I guess the garbage pizza across the street is pretty good too, but I'm not sure which I like better. A few days later, we had dinner in the "pricey, fancy" restaurant. I guess it's not cheap by my L.A. standards, but it's not ridiculously expensive either. Actually, anything near that formal in L.A. would've cost twice that much. We all had a really good meal and everybody was happy. My wife though who has a very mild, plain palate ordered crab with steak. Well even I don't think those two flavors would go together, so I didn't think she would want to try it at all. She thought it was fine, so maybe to a normal person (ha), it was great. I dunno. Anyhoo, if I have some buckage the next time we're at Breezy, we should go back. And if not, I'll definitely hit the bar again for beers and those poppers and pizza! Yo don't go to dockside for their amazing drink specials or fantastic food - you go for the namesake. The place is right on the bay of Pelican Lake at Breezy Point. In the summer it is perfect to sit outdoors, people watch, pull up your boat, go kayaking, you get the drift. In the winter there are occasionally bonfires to keep you cozy along with skating, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The building in general is huge and lacks any sort of ambiance but if you have a large party there are no issues! All in all, I enjoy coming to dockside for what it offers - dockside seating on a wonderful lake! read more

Hard to find the entrance, no sign to know if there was a hostess or if it was seat yourselves. Ending up sitting outside, waited well over 10min for someone to ask us our order. I ordered walleye fingers and my newlywed bride ordered a burger. Could not believe how small of an order my walleye fingers were. Her burger was clearly a frozen pre-formed burger that had no flavor. My fries were worthless and her waffle fries were good. Honestly not a recommended place, go out from the resort. Very slow service. We had to order takeout because we never got served even after 30 minutes. We didn't even get served drinks.

Stopped by early afternoon for a quick appetizer and a beer. The bartender was very friendly, helpful and enjoyable. They were out of my favorite beer from Gull Dam Brewing, so I had a Coke. I also ordered the taco special which came with tortilla chips. What can I say, it's bar food. I'll be back in the summertime. read more

We had an incredibly rude bartender at the Dockside Lounge. We ran in to get drinks to bring back to the boat, but didn't all have our ids. Fine, kindly let us know we can't buy drinks, but don't be rude to my grandma. My fiancé, who is in his thirties, ordered a coke and a sprite for the two of us since we didn't have IDs with us. The bartender kept demanding to see his ID because he saw him sipping... chill dude. Continued to talk down to my mom and Grandma, challenging them on their ages. So funny. We brought the kids on a Monday evening and it was very family friendly, not the "party scene" some reviewers described. I have a feeling the lower reviews came on the weekends when they probably get slammed, as our experience was quite pleasant, and if your expectations are right (value bar food) yours will be too. (Seeing as there are basically no other options semi-cheap options around) They have a mixed service review, sometimes they cone every two minutes and other times every thirty as it was waiting for the check. As for the food mediocre okay but most prices could drop a few dollars. They pull you in with free drinks and then make you pay $12-$15 for a burger! Visiting this establishment outside of peak summer season was a good experience. Plenty of friendly wait-staff and choice of window seat looking out over the bay without a lot of background noise, so our conversation was easy. With the number of available tables inside and on the patio, it would be a bit crazy for us if full and "rockin". Food was as good as expected for a bar/grill. My burger was tasty and the portion of " for an added fee" tater-tots was very generous. My wife's grilled shrimp salad was well prepared, with a nice mix of fresh greens. Only shortcoming was my burger bun was on the dry side. Can't get too upset about that given everything else. read more

I love the Dockside restaurant at Breezy Point. The food is very good, however, you have to make sure you watch your bank statement if you pay with a credit card or debit card. I left a cash tip and was charged again for a tip on my debit card. When I called the restaurant they said it was a computer error. Don't know how a computer could make an error like that. We couldn't figure out where to walk in to begin with, as the sign for a different restaurant was above the door needed to enter the restaurant. Kind of confusing. We weren't greeted by anyone, arriving for a 6:15 pm dinner, so we found a table ourselves. There were very few patrons there, but were ignored by the first server that walked by our table. We were about to get up and leave after 10 minutes of just sitting there until our server said hello. She was nice, and brought us menus to look over. She came back a few minutes later, but we were still undecided, so a few minutes later another server came by to see if we needed anything. We weren't sure why he asked us since we had our server already, but we said we would like to order two drinks, one with less booze in it than the other. On the bill they charged the same price, so I was confused by that. We ordered a burger with onion rings and a chicken sandwich with fries. The portions were decent size, and the onion rings were good, but the fries were very dry. The burger wasn't anything special and for $15 it was pretty pricey imo. The view of the lake was nice, but overall the cost did not justify the service and quality of the food. Id rather grab a hot dog from Pelican Parlor for 1/4 of the price! read more
