This is the annual place for me to store my boat since 2016 when I bought my boat new from the Skipper Buds in Lake Fenton (Michigan). I have had all recommended services performed. Some without my approval which I was happy to pay for. This season when I picked up my boat the top was shredded at every snap. When I inquired about having the top replaced at their expense, I was told there was nothing they could do for me since I had no proof my top was in good condition. What?! Are you serious? Why would I make this up. I have spent over $15,000 to keep my boat in pristine condition with this Skipper Buds marina! I have been getting the run around since May 2 this year when I picked it up and took it back on May 3rd so they could see the damage done. STAY AWAY!

They talked me into making a $1000 "refundable" deposit and then drive within 2 weeks to Oshkosh WI to view and decide if I want to purchase the boat. I went to Wisconsin and was disappointed the boat was not as advertised and quite different then the new boat show model so I decided against the purchase. Till this day I have still not received a refund, which I told would be automatic if I did not move forward with the deal within 2 weeks. My latest email has enough nerve to blame me for not moving forward and states "I do not deserve a refund". That said I would advise people to be ware of doing business with skipper buds, as it's disappointing at best that such a large dealer operates in this fashion.

Dennis quickly took us out for a sea trial, we loved the boat, and we got the deal done in about two days with no nonsense. To be honest, they were very firm on the price of the boat. This was expected -- these are popular boats with low inventory. However, they threw in a ton of extras: very nice GPS chartplotter (installed), canvas, fenders, lines, lifejackets, fire extinguisher, flares, etc. I didn't add it up, but it was thousands of dollars. Overall, the total value was outstanding. If you are a first time boat buyer, here's a hard truth: no boat comes perfect from the factory. The important question is how well the dealer handles your requests for warranty repairs. Anderson's gets five stars on this. I put together a small list of items that I wanted fixed and dropped the boat back off at the end of the 2019 season. Every issue was fixed, with no pushback, and no cost to me. You can't count on all dealers to do this well, but Anderson's got it done. Go see Dennis, get a new boat, and we'll see you out on the water!

They gave me a verbal quote for this service but when the bill came it was more than 30 percent above their original quote. This increase in price came without any warning. Had I known that this would happen I would have taken my business elsewhere. On the plus side, the employees seem friendly and knowledgeable. I would have given them my future business but I felt like I was deceived and taken advantage of. I'll be staying with my current marina service provider.

This is the second time I've used Colony Marine to service my boat. This time, I had an unknown…read moreissue with my 2008 Sea Ray with low power and water in my oil. I brought my boat in and they were able to get to it quickly, being August I figured it'd be there a while. They looked at it, called me and explained exactly what the issue was (oil cooler) and asked permission to order parts and complete the job. They were done with the job within a couple days. When I got my boat back, it was CLEAN as I left it to them and they even fixed my speedometer without me even mentioning it. I am beyond satisfied and would highly recommend them to anyone!
