We drove across the country to pick it up so communication and timing throughout the process were essential. I could have not been happier with how Hector got everything taken care of. He would pick my calls even outside regular business hours. He even helped me out with the registration process after the purchase. I strongly recommend buying a boat through Hector at this location as it was tremendous quality of service and outstanding expertise.

I will start off by saying my experiences at Longshore have been both good and bad. Purchasing, was…read morea bit rocky due to under prepared salesmen at the Charleston Boat Show in 2020 (some promises were made that they simply couldn't keep). But we got past that. The follow-on scheduled maintenance periods were nice. Decent availability, and they were willing to work with my timing to get the boat in and out. Come time for real warranty work. My Robalo R242 had some bonding issues with the center console below the deck and the T-top was structurally failing because of it. Michael Callahan led me on from July 2022 to October 2022 telling me that the work would be covered under warranty blah blah blah. This is nearly 40 emails back and forth of me checking every week, him apologizing for the delay, rinse and repeat. Finally, in October, Michael kindly lets me know that he's doing me a favor by only making me pay $6200 for the repairs. I contacted Robalo, I spoke with the owner of Longshore (Chris is a really nice guy), and I made sure that the issue was confronted. Magically enough, the following week the boat was on a truck headed to Robalo's factory for WARRANTY work! While the boat was away, Michael wrote me out another quote of over $2000 for stuff that I mostly did myself BEFORE THE BOAT WENT IN because I got tired of waiting on Longshore to do it. (Like $300 to secure the foot rest that they improperly installed). The boat came back to Robalo January 18th, and the only things needing to be done were installation of the GPS (was also warranty), and gel coat repairs which would start within the "next few days". THIS WAS TOLD TO ME ON THE 18TH BY MICHAEL CALLAHAN. They broke the acrylic dashboard while installing the new GPS (Stuff happens, not too upset about it. Checks with the rest of my interactions with my amazing "Service Advisor" Michael). I send an email today to Michael to see what the status is, guess what!?!? Another apology for the delay and now, their gel coat guy is "having a personal problem" and will try to get to it early next week. I am completely baffled, and I'm absolutely disgusted with my "Service Advisor" and how this has been handled. Good luck at the boat show! Take your chances, take your luck, but for the love of all that is holy, don't take Michael Callahan as your Service Advisor at Longshore Boats.

While at the boat show, we purchased a patio table and umbrella with chairs for our pool. Over engineered with high quality products. Very pleased with all of our purchases from Laporte. Coming back from the Bahamas. One of the thumb screws vibrated loose and fell off. I contacted Laporte and they sent me replacement parts at no charge. This is not Laporte s fault or bad design, my crew liked the shade so much, we ran 700 miles through the Abacos at speeds up to 40 mph with the shade up. It's not recommended, but the boat shade did great providing shade. Laporte is an awesome company with quality products and wonderful folks there to help you out.

we ordered a Laport cover for our new boat on July 12th, 2023. The description for the…read more"Sunbrella" cover ordered was as follows "Easy to install, durable, lightweight". IT IS NOT! As a 65 year old woman, it was important to me to be able to place the cover by myself. I can through a 50 Lb. bale of hay. I tried to use it and it is so heavy and massive that it was hard to get in on the boat because I couldn't keep it all contained in my arms. I was affraid it was going to fall into the water as I walked my narrow metal ramp to the boat. Then I had to take it around the center concole to the"port" side to lay it out. I am 5'2" and I could not hold up the weight with one hand high enough and tye it to the T top with the other. It has never been used and sits in my office. I called Laporte, not long after receiving the cover and explained the problem and would have loved to have sent it back and switched to for a lighter one. It was less than 3 months from the time of purchase and I was told that "the install video for that product was installed by a pregnant lady". It had to be a lighter weight material used in the video. I am no weakling. I called Laport and discussed my issue several times and was told that I had had a year to get a refund and the toime was up. I even discussed sending it back to have a nother zipper put in to create 2 halfs and ir was going to be $200.00 plus shipping both ways. The lighrweight discription really wasn't a fair discription. I have a 6 year warrantee on this cover and I feel that an inaccurate descripton of being "lightweight" is a returnable arguement. ALSO!! The BLACK COVER is soooooo you can't tough it to take it off when the sun is out. It's not like fabric that doen't get blistering hot when you wear it in the sun. I paid $1,622.79 for a cover and have not been able to use it.
