This is a top-notch dive bar, through and through. Friendly staff, considering the vibe. What else could you possibly want from a dive bar? An escape from the shmancy places in Manhattan, you'll be surrounded by cool people, awesome signs and a down to earth vibe, strong drinks, a pool table, and country music. Why haven't you come here yet?

This is the place to go when you're looking for a fun night out in the city. It's a country themed dive bar that's been around since the early 90s. The decor is very relaxed with plenty of seats and stools. They have a pool table in the back and a Big Buck arcade towards the front entrance. They carry Yuengling and Rolling Rock which was great. I hadn't seen those beers stocked in bars since the early 2000's. Their tap system is ice cold and their drinks have always been on point. Don't forget to bring cash and get ready to meet some amazing patrons!

It's a definitely a dive bar but it costs $8 for a tiny well whiskey diet. Dive bar with regular bar prices. Not worth it.

We were in the area waiting on our rsvp & this place was the closest so we came in here to kill some time. Charminggg place u don't know if u r waking into a bar or some place u may not ever come out off .. it has quite the broken down entrance. Talk about DIVE bar to the T !! Crazy all over the place decorations don't know if or what holiday they are "celebrating" all seasons hanging! Just one thing way too many rules posted! CASH only what a pain it's a bar so it's a bit annoying & more so now a days a bit of an inconvenience to be cash only but of course there is an ATM available. No seating at first then we got lucky w a seat at the bar, ok specials but not on anything good we had some beers I had the Raging bitch good beer bitter tasting but good alcohol content my company had Long Hammer IPA good as well. This place has quite the vibe, lay back not too much going on , pool table on the side & enough TV's to catch the games. Price wise ok for the beers $7/8 the bar was not bad served its purposed for us good for grabbing drinks.

Really cool dive bar - great spot to pop in for a midday beer. Really distinct from other bars we found in the city. Worth a stop for sure!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne, which immediately set the tone for a special evening. Our server, Daniel, was beyond amazing. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our anniversary meaningful. It never felt forced just thoughtful, polished hospitality. The team went above and beyond when we brought our wedding cake (which had been frozen for a year). Not only did they accommodate it without hesitation, they helped decorate and present it beautifully you would have thought it had been baked that same day. It was such a touching moment for us, and they handled it with care and enthusiasm. As for the food: incredible. The steak tartare was perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The tuna was fresh and vibrant. And the Beef Wellington... honestly one of the best I've had in New York City. Perfectly cooked, rich, elegant, and absolutely worthy of a celebration dinner. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: romantic, warm, refined but relaxed. It felt special without being stiff. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something meaningful, this is it. We will absolutely return.

I found the hodgepodge of old-timey decor to be a bit kitsch, but to each their own. I came with a group on a weeknight with no reservation. We were seated immediately on a high wood table. Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. It's certainly a bar for a certain type of crowd, and the service was lacking, but maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll be served better than we were.

Unfortunately, our server only heard that 5 of us wanted afternoon tea, and one of the tiers of food was smaller than the others. We also had to pay extra for additional tea, which we were fine with, but service was severely lacking throughout. Our server didn't check up on us, and seemed to want us to leave quickly after dropping off the check. We would have been happy to pay the $65 each for afternoon tea, but it wasn't worth it and frankly, I was agitated by the whole ordeal by the time I left. We were also disappointed by the food items (as they were lacking) and nothing about this was like other experiences we had with other afternoon teas. I can't in good faith recommend this place, nor do I see myself coming back after the atrocious service we experienced.
