I am BEYOND impressed with the levels of compassion, politeness, and patience that all of the dental assistants and Dentist has. I took both my son and daughter here for their first and second dentist appts ever, (ages 4 and 6), and the staff made them feel at ease. They were patient, and genuine with their care in making sure the child (their patient) was comfortable with them. Made me wish I was a kid again lol. Oh! And afterwards, they give the kids prizes. This dental office is the bomb diggity for real lol. It's CLEAN, KID friendly...the service is fast and detailed. You get the feeling of "family" and "togetherness" here. Absolutely the best dental practice for kids of all ages! They always take the time to explain what they are about to do and will tell you to let them know if something hurts. They don't just think about themselves, but everyone, staff included! It's not easy to please everyone, all the time, however they sure come close! Great Experience! Great atmosphere for children, but some of the staff is unprofessional. There's no reason I should know about this woman's son needing three fillings and two extractions. This is the second time this happened. Then, the woman pulls mom aside and closes the door (in hopes for more privacy), but fails again. She went on to tell Mom what words we "don't like to use around kids" which include needles, etc. Before you try to set a parent straight, make sure you're doing a top-notch job. That was unsettled for me because it was the second time I've witnessed it here. I'm not going to describe the individual, but I'll update my review if I'm able to get her name. My 2 year old daughter has been going to the dentist since she was 6 months old, and I can tell you that this practice has a specific way with children which I appreciate! The dentist made sure my daughter was comfortable with anything she did prior to actually performing the task, even went as far as demonstrating on me first so she could see everything was okay. As an adult it is important to me my doctors/dentists make sure I myself am comfortable, so having this practice as my children's new dentist has given me a piece of mind! Kids do love this dentist and my kid is no exception. He's been coming here since he was a toddler and got kicked out the "regular" dentist's office after an exorcist-like performance. They kindly steered us toward a pediatric dentist. Doc Bresler's office is always busy yet the video games, toys and cartoons in the waiting room keep kids occupied. I like that they take the kids in back independently; hovering parents can make kids apprehensive. My (big) kid is 10 now and still likes coming here. Reception and dentists have always been friendly enough. It's a dental office not a resort lol. read more

I usually don't write reviews on Dental visits but after our last visit to your Newtown Square office you left us with a terrible outcome. I have a 6 year old that gets really anxious and nervous about Dental visits, your staff would have known this since they referred us on an earlier visit to the Surgicenter to get a filling done. On our last visit your staff found a cavity on on his upper right tooth that needed a filling. After drilling on this tooth they informed us they couldn't complete the filling since he was so nervous he would possibly cause some injury. The drilled hole was so small they said it wasn't worth another referral to the surgicenter (rightly so this option is so expensive) and since they don't do nitrous oxide (laughing gas) because of "Covid" our only option was to have him do extra cleaning and flossing around that exposed tooth until his next 6 month check up. This suggestion was really thoughtless and careless. We went looking for a second opinion by that time his tooth was infected and he was in a lot of pain. The only option was to have that whole tooth removed which they could do with nitrous oxide in the office. I have a lot of questions for your office but mostly why is your practice without nitrous oxide when other Dentists have it? You must treat alot of kids with all kinds of anxiety and nervousness and why would you send a patient home with an exposed tooth? I'm just so happy we were able find a new dentist that could take care of us better. read more

As a teenager, I've been attending this place bi-annually for quite a few years, and this place has been just fine depending on what I needed. Check-ups are a breeze, only takes around 30 minutes and the dentists are very nice and social. One thing I do not like is the waiting room, it is at times uncomfortably hot, such as during the summer, and there are many young children and toddlers running around, screaming, and making the waiting a little bit overwhelming. Nonetheless, this is a place that provides adequate dental care to children of all ages, and they do accept insurance providers such as Pennsylvania's CHIP program. All in all, a place I'd recommend for children's dental care, and looking forward to the next checkup at the end of the week! Note: I do believe that the Dresher and lower Northeast office of Doc Bresler's Cavity Busters offers adult care, it's worth checking out if you have not already. read more

This was the first visit my toddlers had at a dentist, and I had no idea what to expect. I can say with much pleasure that this was an amazing experience, not just for my kids, but for me as well! The waiting room was a little smaller than I expected for how busy this place gets, but the bright colors and video games did keep my kids busy for a few minutes while we waited to be called. I was able to go back with them, which was comforting, and in one large room there are several brightly colored chairs for the kids. The dental hygienists, who talked gently to the kids, showed them all of the equipment, let them pick their own flavors and gave them a bunch of stickers along the way. My kids cooperated fully and the visit was very quick! Best part -- Dr. Jesse. She saw both of my kids after their cleaning and she really put us all at ease. She seemed happy to see the kids, talked to them in a cheery way and her advice was solid. As a parent I was nervous about this first visit, but from start to finish it was an easy, fast-paced process that I can actually say my kids enjoyed! I think they look forward to returning. To me that's worth more than 5 stars. Granted, this was our first visit and we did not see all of the staff, but I think there was a great effort made to help the kids feel comfortable, and I certainly can appreciate that. For how much I have heard of this place, I couldn't believe there were only 4 reviews. A close friend of mine has been taking her kids here for awhile and they absolutely love it. I was satisfied enough with this office while I was taking my kids for regular cleanings. My eldest (9 yo ) had 1-2 cavities filled too and we had no complaints. The staff was nice, there were toys and games for the kids and they were pretty efficient. However, when I took my youngest (4yo) for his 6 month cleaning, the dentist was glaring at me telling me he had 6 cavities. I was shocked because he'd had none 6 months prior. She said they hadn't done an X-ray that time so they didn't see them. Fair enough, I was getting ready to make appointments to have them fixed, but she said I'd have to take him to their surgical center to have it done under general anesthesia. I'd never heard of using general anesthesia to fill cavities, so I was trying to ask her questions, but she just shoved some papers at me, said ' here, call them and make and appointment!', glared at me one more time like I was some deadbeat parent then just walked off! I never had a chance to tell her my child has asthma and sleep apnea and shouldn't be going under general anesthesia, especially not for cavities! The receptionist felt bad I guess, and tried to explain about the surgical-center and how it's better for the kids so they won't be traumatized from the dentist visits. I get that, but it's not safe for my child to do this and after the way that dentist dismissed me, I wasn't going to trust my kid in their hands again. I took him to my regular dentist who filled them quickly in 3 visits with minimal discomfort. read more

My kids went here since they were 2 years old.. Now they are 6 and 4 ..Lately, the office must have changed the staffs. Staffs now are rude and unprofessional. 1st. I submitted the school request for dental records, it took them almost 3 months to fax over the school. 2nd, my children had 6 month check appointment in June, they called and reschedule until Dec. 6 months later for a reschedule? . Lately i called to set an emergency appointment because my daughter's tooth was falling out and having inside growing tooth, the lady on the phone was so rude. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was having a bad day or pms. But she was threaten to drop my call and don't schedule my daughter if i keep saying "emergency appointment" ... I just love bringing my girls here for their dental care! The personal care they receive plus the fact that they love coming to this dentist is as good as it gets! I really like the way the staff talk to my children and explain in a way so that they "get it" what is going to happen or what they are doing. I was so ready to be called for backup when they gave my daughter her x-rays. But the professionals they are, they handled it great! When it was time for my 3 year old to get her teeth cleaned I was shocked at how fast and drama free this was done! The games, toys and cartoons are just the icing on the cake. The front desk staff always have a smile and talk to my children making us feel welcomed from the front door even when they are busy. I came here as a last resort when my daughter was 3....she had an epic freak out session at another dentist and we were referred to here....and we've stayed since. they are truly amazing with the little kids and it helps that they have TV's everywhere with kid shows playing...and a giant box of goodies. definitely awesome. the dentists are very professional and very kind. they are a god send read more

My experience today has been the worst I've ever had here. I've been bringing my children here for over 9 years. Today is our 3rd time back in 3 weeks (2 emergency visits and 1 scheduled visit). My son has been in a lot of pain following the last 2 visits and completing his antibiotics and 3 bottles of Motrin. This 3rd visit and for the first time ever I requested to go back with him to figure out what's going on. Dr. Marcella Herrera was very loud and rude when she told me I couldn't go back with him. She said (in a very thick accent), "I did you a favor by allowing you to come in for an emergency, if you don't like that you can't come back with your child you can find somewhere else to take him!" I was very upset by her tone and words in front of my son, it also shows she don't care about him his pain. I talked to the office manager and she explained very politely that it's just not enough room in the room for me which was not communicated to me by Dr Herrera. I requested a different dentist who would be professional, respectful with good communication and who cares. My son was then seen by Dr Danielle Lockwood. read more

I was very disappointed in the way their billing person spoke to me. My insurance has some dumb system that we have to sign some form every 6 month for them to pay my dental bills. When we showed up for our appointment she basically reprimanded me. "I don't know how they gave you an appointment with this bill" I explained that she need to call the insurance company and they would release the funds.. We went to Doc Bresler's for several years with our now 4-year-old, but are switching dentists as of our last experience. While the place is super kid-friendly, the quality of their work and billing practices are questionable. Our son had fillings done about two months ago. The other night, while flossing, a piece of one of the fillings broke off. We took him in to have it repaired and they claimed it could only be repaired with a full crown. They also charged us for the crown despite my husband's questioning it. After this experience, we wonder if the fillings were necessary or just a source of revenue. We are going to find a dentist who doesn't see dollars signs in our eyes upon our arrival. read more

That well staffed with children friendly staff. They are not good at easing children and too quick to recommend the surgery center. My son has had bad experiences because of his teeth and I've been going to this location since he was one because of the insurance and because of the surgery center. But, they don't fully explain why certain things need to be done and they don't talk with the children to calm them. He was so nervous and hard to handle with the visits after the first few times. When the child is comfortable and coperative they are just fine but when the child is difficult like mine they really treat the child and mother as the worst people on earth. So we have come here to the Jenkintown location for several years and I have two kids. I have noticed several issues that continue to get bad. One, the waiting room is out of control sometimes. We always book for first appoitnment and it is not uncommon to see kids abusing the game consoles (kicking it, slapping the controllers, yelling at the consoles) or kids watching videos on their phones and tablets with the volume at unreasonable levels. It continues to amaze me that the employee sitting at the front desk NEVER speaks up and ask the kids to turn their volume down, or don't run, or don't kick the Xbox consoles. Second, when I showed up for our annual cleaning, I was given some paperwork to update (general info/insurance/etc) and in my paperwork, the lady at the front desk had carelessly also included a sheet that had the name, insurance info and other private/confidential info for another patient. I saw what their annual allowance was under their insurance plan and many other things....I am sure this had to be a HIPAA violation. It made me worry that this office is careless safeguarding personal information. This office asks for a lot of private information and needs to actually do a far better job of safeguarding this information. Lastly, for the first time I was asked to stay in the waiting room while my kids went back (never asked of me before but I am ok with this) after a while both kids come out without anyone with them. I walk to the front desk, do not see anyone and wait for several minutes and at this point I leave. I later receive a call asking where I was. I told the lady that nobody explained this new process of the kids would come out alone, while apparently the dentist does her notes and THEN I would get an update on this visit. Poor communication by the person taking the children back and I still have yet to hear the details of the visit from the dentist. I will give you an opportunity to respond before I take this review to social media and then look to file a complaint based on poor controls of safeguarding confidential patient information.....FULL DISCLOSURE, I emailed these concerns directly to Doc Bresslers and never heard back, thus I am going public.....I think their not responding speaks VOLUMES about what is important to them at the Jenkintown location read more

Sitting and waiting for 50 minutes after my appointment time today reminded me how much I despise this facility. Every time I come to this office I always say to myself that I am not coming back. This place has a kid friendly facade, but it is really an impersonal mill that processes patients who happen to be kids. There is no personal feeling here and you rarely see the same dentist or hygienist twice. When we checked in (after being summoned by a loud microphone) I then realized it was all about the money and not about the patient here. I have excellent dental insurance and rarely pay for routine dental care, but every time I come here they always tell me there is an extra charge that isn't covered by insurance. We use two other dentists for other family members and this is the only place that ever has extra costs for routine care. It is my fault for continuing to come here. I will not return. read more

I am sorry to share but I think it important that other families steer clear of this practice: I have been taking my two young kids to this practice for several years. Last year when my 5 year old showed the first sign of cavities, the staff immediately recommended that they handle her 3 cavities through a procedure that would put her under general anesthesia. I shared with the staff that my daughter's medical history made me uncomfortable about the safety of the procedure but the Doc Bressler staff at this location still insisted that the general anesthesia procedure was our only option. We were urged to schedule surgery right away since there was a 3 month waiting last. Thank goodness there was a waiting list - it gave us time to seek advice from our pediatrician who agreed wholeheartedly that Doc Bressler's recommended procedure was excessive for a just a few cavities. She recommended that we get a second opinion - THANK GOODNESS we did get a second opinion. We learned that not only was general anesthesia excessive, but that route should have been the very last option for any dentist in any child's case (and especially with my daughter's medical history). We immediately pulled both our kids out of the Doc Bressler factory -- my daughter's cavities were dealt with no problem with our new dentist (in the chair and with just a shot of novocain). We have never turned back and are just so thankful we followed our gut that something wasn't right about Doc Bressler. We could not be more happy and confident with our new dentist that we use in Ambler PA - they are real pediatric dentists who are professional and understand how to work with children and families (not a factory pushing out high-priced procedures regardless of child safety concerns). read more

Save your time/money. I fell for the gimmicks. Over $450 if you don't have insurance for cleaning- no x-rays, treatments, etc on two toddlers. NEVER informed about the cost. What a RipOFF! Never spoke to a receptionist/ billing b/c they never answer their phone. Spent hours waiting on hold, listening to bad impressions- How about if this was an emergency? Reception area is DIRTY! Broken toys, ripped books, only one videogame console ever worked. When you pass the front desk (again, kid friendly? How about a smile or being courteous?), the hygen. and dentist do their jobs, but for over $450 I can do without plastic fish on the wall, and a cheap plastic dinosaur. read more
