Delicious Mexican food in an unassuming setting. I would never have tried this place except a fried pointed it out. I had the taco plate with pork adovada and chicken. My wife had a carve asada torta. Both were delicious. They have a salsa bar. Delivered food to out tables. I would recommend. I a should also mention I am a former chef who loves Mexican food. This place is really good. The torta less so than the tacos but still good. read more

Great taqueria - busy on a Sunday night with locals and passers by. We ordered chicken enchiladas and they were really very good. The chicken was well seasoned bright and a little spicy. The tortillas were just the right amount of chewy. Beans and rice were good quality. I'd recommend stopping here over any fast food. (This was fast enough) read more

Decent food, not many options around. The salsa bar was great sadly the chips were not. They did mess up our order and the meat for the chicken and steak tacos were both pretty dry read more

I placed an order for six asada tacos, one asada burrito, one asada quesadilla, and an order of grilled jalapeños. I waited nearly 30 minutes for my food, and based on the lengthy wait, I assumed the order would be correct. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Upon arriving home, I discovered that my order was almost entirely incorrect. Instead of what I requested, I received: Two asada tacos Four asada burritos No quesadilla No grilled jalapeños No salsa, despite having requested it I called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake, expecting at least an apology or an attempt to resolve the issue, even if it meant addressing it the following day. Instead, the employee repeatedly responded with "omg this guy," offering neither an apology nor any form of customer service. Regarding the food itself, the two tacos I received were plain and dry, and the burrito I attempted to eat was excessively greasy. Overall, the experience was highly disappointing--from the incorrect order to the lack of professionalism when I called to address the issue read more

The Carne asada tacos are 10 out of 10! This is a great place - we'll be back. Awesome service too.

This place was perfect to get our Mexican food fix. Being from New Mexico we know Mexican cuisine. While traveling we always look for a good place to eat, but this was great. This place truly hit the spot. Friendly informative staff, clean restaurant, food was very good, & quantity met the price. We were able to park our 30' RV a street over well within walking distance. This is very much a local spot. read more

How does one rate a restaurant like this? This joint is for local families and friends to get their bite on. It's not fancy. It's not pristine. It's just right. But every styrofoam plate and every plastic fork is a different brand. read more

Absolutely delicious!!! I have passed through this area ok no my way to Seattle and it breaks my heart I haven't been Ii n sooner. It is a must! You know you chose wisely when it's full and most the seats are full. It's not the fastest but worth the wait. The carne asada tacos were one of the best I have had in a while. The meat was tender and not full of fat. It had good flavor and the tortillas tasted amazing too. I had some floutas with rice and beans. They were crispy and delicious. read more

Was driving down 82 and this is the only place that looked decent. Holy Moly, the food here is amazing. If you're in the area this place is a must stop. Asada burrito is huge and delicious. Even the kid's quesadilla was delicious, I wanted to steal my son's. read more

So good! Street tacos on fresh tortillas; only comes with one per taco because they are that good, you only need one and hold up! Topped with cilantro, onion, radish, then there's a grilled jalapeño and grilled onions and two fresh made salsas. They hit the spot! I also love the Jamaica Fresca. Worth the stop for a taco snack when you're in the area. Draw backs- atmosphere; just get them to go read more

The food was very good. The Carne asada burrito is very flavorful and their beans are deliciousness. All the sauces were excellent, fresh veggies too read more

The food was decent and the portion slightly larger than the norm. Given the dreary interior, the lack of any utensils, plastic hamburger basket and dirty tabletops, the price ($11 for a burrito) seemed a bit out of line. If you can't find someplace else to eat, be sure to make your order "for takeout". I made the mistake of following another review that said visitors would need to look past the exterior. Unfortunately the interior was equally rundown--the minimal fluorescent lighting and dirty bathroom made the wait for our food a less than ideal experience. I really wanted to like this place. Sad I won't be returning. read more

Driving back to Portland this became my ULTIMATE favorite Mexican restaurant in Oregon. As a first generation Mexicana I admire a well handmade sope like the ones my father made. This gave me a taste of home back in South Florida and would highly recommend this to anyone in Umatilla. This is my chicken sope that I will say I finished the first but couldn't finish the second. Very amazing!!! Chips/realllly good salsa come with all orders at no price!! read more

This place is legit!! Driving through on our way back down to San Diego and the family were craving Mexican... the breakdown: Agua frescas- horchata and piña y melon both freshly made, in particular we appreciated the chunks of pineapple and grated melon! Birria Tacos - served as they should be with consomme .. grilled until golden with cheese... they tasted like justice and winning!! Mini tacos de Cabeza y Lengua - these 2 meats should be litmus test for mexican eateries but not all have them, the lengua was +11 tender with a decent amount of fatty loving goodness, Cabeza was outrageously flavorful and surprisingly not much fat but it didn't matter.... still winning! Grilled Shrimp Tacos - Fatty, mcfat shrimp grilled with onions a little ancho/Chipotle, sautéed peppers and onions with melted cheese and ...ALL on handmade tortillas read more

Cute little authentic Mexican restaurant. It's the kinda hole in the wall you want to pull off the freeway to find! The burrito was a great size and tasted so good. It was a solid little meal and a killer price. The staff were friendly and the food came out fast. It's worth it to stop. read more

The Verde (green) ribs was very tender. Order first, then they bring it out to you. The pico salsa was very fresh.

Foods ok but way way way to greasy. Also, food always comes out to everyone's table at different times. They never bring out all the food at the same time. They need to work on organization with food orders. This causes everyone at the table to get their food while others at your table wait and wait. read more

Went here based on other Yelp recommendations. The food was great traditional Mexican food. I got it to go and it was ready in a timely manner. When I got to the car I didn't have napkins and when i opened it, it had shifted around and was extremely messy. The food was good and price was reasonable but a little more attention to detail is needed on to go orders. read more

I am Hispanic and thought we would give this place a try on our way back from Northern Ca. First, the food was subpar. The corn taco shells were barley warmed at all ,stale and hard on the edges. The rice and beans were served with a deep spoon. Hard to eat. The price for two taco plates $30.25. It was not worth it at half the cost. Don't understand why people are rating it so high. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I wouldn't take my Chihuahua here. read more

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! I was passing through and saw this restaurant had good reviews, so decided to stop and get dinner. I asked for the meal Donitas was known for. The waitress said that would be their specialty quesadilla. It was made with a huge corn tortilla. I don't really like corn tortillas but this was clearly homemade and delicious. This was no regular quesadilla. It was more like a seared cheesy burrito. I got it with carne asada and it was awesome. Slices of Avocado and cheese poking out, I knew it would be good. And it was. Friendly staff on top of it and music too. Highly recommend! read more

Asada burrito is good (if you're absolutely craving Mexican food and have eaten for hours), but it might give you the shits. Burritos are $9 too expensive and they're focused on quantity and not quality. But then again, it is Hermiston, and there isn't very much competition around when it comes to great authentic Mexican food. read more

Authentic Mexican food, just like Baja! Modest little restaurant that replaced the other Mexican restaurant, it's essentially a food truck gone stationary. Don't expect to much for decoration or seating (though they do have a few nice booths by the windows) and don't expect too much variety in the menu. They have all the delicious food stand basics from tacos (asada, adobada, pollo, lengue, cabeza, tripo) to huaraches to carnitas, birria and tortas. Your drink comes in the form of bottle or cans instead of a soda fountain. They have horchata and jamaica as well as Mexican Coke, Sangria, and a variety of Jarritos. While the atmosphere is a little blah, they spice it up with some music and the staff is very friendly. Of course it's not going to beat actually being in Mexico, it certainly brought my husband and I back. If they could only get some San Felipe shrimp! Highly recommend this place! Don't let it scare you, it's yummy. Also, cash only here so come prepared. read more

These may be good but we will never know. We were looking for some good Mexican. In fact, this was the second place we tried. Problem is, this place is closed. I'm here on a Tuesday at 2:45 and according to Yelp it should be open. Maybe they should update their hours on yelp? read more

Really good tacos but the 40 minute wait for the food with a lot of flies wasn't really a plus. They were out of Carne Asada and it wasn't exactly busy which left us wondering why it took 40 minutes. Was working a couple miles away and was starving... I saw reviews for birria tacos and had never had the opportunity to try them. Magical! These tacos were so delicious (I got them to go) and they came with a little cup of broth to dip the tacos in. The broth was so good I drank it after eating my tacos sitting in a cornfield in the wind. Ps - I saw a couple of reviews about cleanliness of the restaurant itself, from what I saw it was plenty clean and there were a number of people there sitting enjoying their meals. read more
