Making my appointment was very easy. First you could select the location of the DMV you'd prefer to go to, the day and finally the time. The hour range was very convenient, from 8:00 AM to well after work hours. Then I received an obnoxious amount of reminder emails. Amongst the many reminder emails I also received one, reminding me to check in 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. At this time I was still in the car getting there. Two minutes later I got the notification to proceed to window 8. But I was STILL in the car getting there! Needless to say, I was late. Thankfully, I only had to wait a few minutes to be called to window 5 this time. No one's favorite place is the DMV. It also seems like the people working there really don't like their jobs. The lady at window 5, took my paperwork without saying a word. She charged me $200.00 for new license plates. There's nothing wrong with my old plates, which I had to throw out. You can't go to the DMV without handing them some sort of payment. This process was pretty smooth, fast and well organized. I received my new title in the mail three days later.

(They were actually wrong about that but this woman helped me anyway). Let me tell you, this woman, I forget her name, went above and beyond to help me get the paperwork I needed. As well as my new temporary CDL permit! She was on the phone over and over with the Wethersfield location getting information and whatever else was needed. She was polite, friendly, and professional. As well as the other three people I interacted with. I was wowed at their willingness to help me with something that isn't part of their job at that location! Great experience

Manross' former property; he was a resident of Bristol. His home was used as a library then a new building was built in 1975 in place of it. This quaint and quiet library is the second library located in Forestville which is a neighborhood in Bristol. There were plenty of parking. I loved the high ceilings. The children's section had toys, blocks, puzzles, and stuffed animals. I liked the children's section here because of this; it was more suited for kids 4 years old and under. There were plenty of books and other resources. My kids and I enjoyed our time there.

A modern and impressive building from the outside, the library becomes very warm and cozy once you walk in the doors. Certainly not an historic or stunning interior, it has subtle interest and charm everywhere you look. Lots of cool art and models of lighthouses and ships are on display and cozy little spots and corners to sit and read or just relax. An abundance of live plants gives a very homey feel to the library. An impressive little library that manages to turn a place of study and books into a very interesting, friendly and comfortable place to spend some time.

On November 23, 1855, he and his partner tried to break up a fight on Morocco Street. Before they made an arrest, both officers were badly beaten and Cummins passed away from his injuries the next day. So Cummins became the first New Haven Police Officer to die in the line of duty. He also became the first of 137 names memorialized on this extremely powerful monument honoring the Connecticut law enforcement officers across the decades of time that have fallen while protecting and defending the citizens of the Nutmeg State. Plans for the monument go back to 1985 when the Connecticut Police Chief's Association appointed a committee to establish a permanent memorial to honor the local, state and federal officers who paid the ultimate price. This striking granite memorial was dedicated in 1989 and stands on the grounds of the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden. It's an open walled gray granite square with 12 perimeter columns and a center black obelisk engraved with "Dedicated to those who have made the supreme sacrifice". There are engraved names, locations, and dates on the obelisk and the perimeter columns. An eternal flame on a black base is engraved with two words in gold - "Never Forget". The memorial site also includes two granite benches and two flagpoles flying the American flag, POW flag, and CT flag.

There were plenty of parking and the library was spacious and had an open layout. When you first walk in, the children section is to the right. They also had so many toys for the kids; from a toy train table, kitchen sets, cash register, dollhouse, and more. They had a wide array of books too. My family and I spent about an hour in there and loved it. It was pretty busy since it's a weekend and cold out; other families had the same plans as us. Overall, it's definitely a nice library. The funny thing about toll roads is most of them don't make any more. Now with EZPass they do more so to an extent, but not really because of the unions. If you figure each car is paying a quarter to an operator how many cars must go through to make up their salary and benefits plus all the roads upkeep. Compared to Northern NJ the roads here are great. There aren't as many pot holes and they seem to get plowed better. Additionally CT knows how to do the HOV lanes properly. When NJ tried adding them they failed, and they wound up doing wrong. It was just the left lane and cars kept going in and out of it. Because of how far apart the cars in the HOV lane are compared to the others we have the HOV lanes actually moving, since cars can maintain their speed. Overall I give CT Transit a pretty good score
