Just a note - this doubles as a seed store! You can buy fresh peanuts, beans, local stickers and front plates here. Kind of reminds me of an old school hobby shop! I love it. Friendly gentleman helped me, quick in and out visit. Pretty limited parking by front door but plenty around near Moss. Definitely an option if you need to pay in person (we had a registration snafu).

It's super small but very quick. We got there and there were 3 customers ahead of us. We were quickly checked in & given a number. Within 2 minutes, Mrs. Johnson called us to her window. She was very nice and efficient in handling our request. I brought a million documents to verify his identity, etc. but she didn't need them. We were in and out of there within 10 minutes. I was very glad that I finally got this done & I will go there again if I ever need my license renewed, etc. Check their website before going to make sure they can handle whatever you need. Not all offices handle all things DMV. I highly recommend this location.

With everything you have to go through to get a passport this should hold a little more weight than it does. You literally have to verify social , take a photo , mail your birth certificate to the federal government and then they send you a passport. Why is this federal identification that allows me to enter other countries and come back to my own country not sufficient to get a state drivers license or permit on its on It makes absolutely Zero sense. While the staff were nice especially the woman who helped my son the experience is always horrible. I have to say that I would rather go here that to the main DMV office 5 minutes away to get things done. Parking is easy and hassle free, and the line moves at a nice pace assuming you have all your paperwork. There is not much on the inside to look at, just the attendants, a bench, and ATM machine. Other than that it is just a big empty room. They do not do all the stuff like they do at the main office at this one, all they deal with is License Plate issues, so sometimes you still might have to head downtown.

As they got people in and out the gentleman counted and let more people in. They were very patient, fast, and courteous. NOTE: Make sure you bring your DL/ID, birth certificate, 2 proofs of residency, and marriage license for the Real ID. They all have to match as far as the spelling of your name on all documents. The gentleman comes out periodically to check documents and will let you know if something else is needed for the service you're requesting. Any kind of driving test they start cut offs after 3pm. You have to ask for the specific time. Hope this helps.

My license was expiring yesterday and I was very worried and did not have any appointment. Read some online reviews and decided to go to Garner even though it was quite far from my place. I reached there at around 6:30 AM (best thing I did) and there were only 4 other people before me. By 7:45, there was a long queue of about 30+ people. By 8 AM, the office opened and the officer announced that they would take the appointments first and maybe after 11, they would take the walk-ins. However, within 15 mins, they asked the people on the bench (all walk-ins) to get in and I was done in next 30 mins. By 9 AM, I walked out with my driving license renewed. Amazing place, amazing staff. Very efficient, courteous, humble, understanding and professionals. If you are nice and respectful, you would get the same response back from them too. Bottom line, even if it is far from your place, consider going to Garner. Try getting there between 6 and 7 AM. Trust me. It is worth it....... Good luck to you all.....!! Thanks manoj joshi

Get in, take a number, have a seat, wait for the number to be called, take care of business and get out - usually 20 minutes or less, unless it's a school vacation day or around the holidays - then it gets time consuming. My secret has always been to get to this location as the place is just opening up, and never try to do my business during or after lunch. The folks who work here are no-nonsense, not chatty, not unfriendly, just all business and wanting to get things done just as much as the next person. They exhibit a great deal of patience and take a lot of abuse from mouthy, know-it-all, rude people. The building is aged and the waiting area isn't necessarily comfortable - hard chairs and no frills. There is a TV screen but I don't pay much attention to it except to see when the next number is called. The atmosphere is not supposed to be something to make one want to stay here anyway.
