Some of it was waterlogged so it weighed more than it should've (which didn't even occur to me) so I offered to pay more than he'd quoted since he'd make less profit after going to the dump. He refused and stuck to his original quote. Also, I don't know how he managed to fit everything in the back of his truck, but he did, tied it down well and covered it with a tarp so nothing would fly out while driving. He was super clear about taking it to the dump, so I know this stuff won't end up on the side of the road somewhere or dumped in the woods, too many people do that so they don't have to pay the dump fees. He worked quickly and was done loading in about a half hour. At least half of that time was spent rearranging stuff in the back of his truck so it would all fit and could be tied down. I'm holding onto his number! I will definitely use him again! Totally professional, courteous, and hardworking, I have only good things to say! If you need junk removal/construction debris removal, give him a shot, I only wish I'd found him sooner!

    In one word, RESPONSIVE!…read more I purchased a new couch. I tried to give my old couch away, but after almost a month I was ready to get it out of the way. I have the thought of junking a totally useful piece of furniture, but what can you do?! My partner was looking for assistance hauling out some stuff and came across Cousins Hauling & Clean-Out on Yelp. She relayed the information and, problem solved. I reached out to them on a Thursday night while at work. By Friday morning they had already responded and we worked out a pick-up for Saturday morning. That's quick! You can go through the prompts on Yelp to get a quote. And what was quoted was exactly what I paid. Saturday morning they contacted me to relay the pick-up prior to mine turned out to be more than expected and they would be a bit late. I've gotta give it to them, they called 3 times. My phone was on silent so they wanted to make sure the new arrival time was okay. And in the end, they arrived earlier then that. They came in, wore masks, and made quick work of removing my couch. It was quick and painless. I paid with a credit card and had the receipt texted to my phone. They were professional, pleasant, and apologized for being late. They set the example for great customer service! I will definitely call them again for any other items I need to discard. It was so prompt & painless.

I had the company come out on 09/20/2025 what an experience not in a good way. As I was leaving, I was shocked to see my entertainment center at the entryway of the complex (broken in parts). It literally fell out of their truck. Of course, in a panic, I frantically park my car to move it the best I could out of the entrance to the complex before any cars tried to leave. I reached out to the team that left and was told they couldn't come back for 45 minutes. I immediately fired off emails stating what happened. My entire day was ruined because I had to stick around to see if the items were going to get picked and I felt the need to drive around to see what else dropped out the truck. No surprise as soon as I finished pulling the entertainment center to the curb and getting back in my car, I turned the corner out of the complex to find a large piece of a computer desk in the middle of the road near the major intersection. I went into another panic because cars were running over the board and I was afraid it might flip to hit someone's car. I again raced to park to see if I could run out into the middle of the road before cars came but the piece was run over several times that it landed in the worse location with the view being blocked by oncoming traffic from the opposite end. I couldn't get a grip on the board because cars were coming so I'm literally in the road trying to kick the board to the side of the road with my foot (yes it was painful). Luckily, one car saw my efforts and stopped. It was not a cool temperature day and I'm no spring chicken (which I'm surprised I didn't have any health issues from the adrenaline, embarrassment, frustration and desperation to move these items). Since I couldn't leave this heavy board on the side of the road, I'm literally trying to carry this wood board back to where the entertainment center fell out the truck (definitely not a short walk). It was exhausting and humiliating to run around and lift items that should've been hauled away given the amount paid for just a few items. I finally was able to speak with a representative who made an offer based on my troubles created by their team. I agreed to the offer from the representative and waited what is more than a reasonable time period (9/22/2025 to12/2/2025) without any luck. While there are things that can happen when the team is working from one job to the next, it is more important how the company handles the issue with the customer that can change how the overall experience is viewed. It makes the difference in showing that a small company stands by it's service and sets it aside from the bigger companies. Unfortunately, I was extremely reasonable even when the worker was going to lose a week of work for the incident. I was completely against this in today's economy and just asked that improved quality standards be in place so it doesn't happen again. I understand the workers are doing this all day so things are going to happen. Again, it's not about what happened during the service as the biggest issues, it's about how it is handled by the company. I do everything I can to support small businesses but I think the more I do the more problems I experience. As someone who wants to extend as much grace as possible, the constant waiting on the USPS at this point is beyond reasonable. Nevertheless, I wish the company the best and hope they take this as a lesson learned to improve how to resolve issues immediately. I didn't expect to be part of the crew that day with having to move my own heavy items out of the street when I paid for someone else to do it.
