Family owned, the owners son was there in the middle of a mass delivery day. He over heard the type of humidor I was looking for, which I did not see on display, and he proceeded to open up boxes so I could see the new ones that just came in! He gave me background info on each one and voila! Got a new gorgeous wood humidor. Also picked up a great new ashtray. I really enjoyed the place. They were fun and knowledgeable and very helpful. I stopped in to get a few cigars and was greeted by a very rude Donovan who didn't ask if my dog was a service animal and promptly made a comment assuming my dog would "shit on the floor". while I understand not everyone is knowledgeable about service animals it is not necessary to be rude. read more

I have been going to this DJs location for over 7 years. It's up the road from my job. If I need something they had it. I'm an avid cigar enthusiast the collection they have is pretty great. I'm giving 4 stars of 5 only reason of majority of branding is same, pricing is a little higher on premiums (but not enough to question), and I commend the past few years in change of quality control. Won't say what changes I've seen but I commend it! Folks down there always greet with positive smile and make sure you fiund what looking for. I've even offered some choice brands they could carry, came back gave me an honest answer why couldn't carry, BUT said they would order something if I want to buy. They kept KFC Swamp Things in stock as long as they could! I dispise walking into a smoke shop that has a dresser size humidor with two wannabe premium brands and cheap knockoff to make money, nothing with customers interest. THE place for cigars. Liga Privada, Crowned Heads, Foundation, Padron, EPC, RP, AF... they have a lot to choose from with great prices that are tough to beat. I've been loyal to DJs for years, the Papago Plaza location took a lot of my money in the 90s. Haha Been a loyal customer to this location 15+ years. While I don't go as often anymore, I still stop in from time to time. I think yesterday will be my last time. The service has gone to shit the last few years. I thought maybe it was just this guy, or that chick...maybe they were having a bad day. I no longer think that. Even just stopping in to grab something quick, they seem annoyed. Went to see if they had any liquid for my ecig and whoever was there was watching tv with someone on a couch and acted like I was bothering him by coming in and didn't have any knowledge about the products I was looking at. I asked what they were and if he knew if any of them were good and he just shrugged and said "I dunno, I don't use that stuff." I understand if you don't personally use every item in your store, but you should at least be a little more knowledgable about the things you carry and maybe try and act a little more friendly in the future. I don't need sunshine and rainbows, but at least don't look annoyed that I just interrupted what you were doing. Suffice to say, I won't be returning here. read more

This just happened about 15 minutes ago. After ordering my food at ATL wings (great wings btw) I decided to purchase a piece so I walked next door. Not my first time at this place but not a regular by any means. As I approached the case with the glass pieces the store clerk who was assisting another couple immediately locked the case. Trying not to assume this was done because I had entered the area I laughed it off. I politely asked the gentleman were their tiers on each piece and how would I know the pricing. The clerk advised me that there were not tiers and that if I needed to see the price look at the reflection or bend down and look underneath. At that point I then knew it was because of me. When the clerk returned to ask me did I want to see something and I replied I did. After each piece was brought out the case he would immediately lock said case. After doing this two or three times I was thoroughly disgusted. I made a final attempt to maybe have this end on a positive note and asked the gentleman if there was any wiggle room on the price to which he replied "that might be what someone else does for you but I don't " I told the clerk I'm just going to go and took my business across the street to the smoke shop (I don't know it's name I'm sorry but they were awesome). I called the store to try to voice my opinion but no answer so here I am. I'll be honest. That young man probably doesn't even think his actions were a big deal and I coulda assumed he was a racist the moment I walked in but I did not. I gave him a chance. I ended up moving over to Gilbert recently and saw that there was a smoke shop. I dropped in because I had quit smoking and wanted a zero nicotine e cig to help me with kicking cigs. When I walked in I had a guy show me the e cigs. He told me the cartridge was non refillable after the first try, which was really odd. However, I figured I would buy one anyway since I can have two cartridges. Well, they sold me a $16 cartridge that doesn't even fit my e cig. Ridiculous that he blatantly lied to me. Like I've seen in so many previous entries, people are getting screwed like myself. First off they post the price that's double of anywhere else on the mod I bought and then post a 30% discount which is still $30 more. When trying to take a hit off of this mod you get a mouth full of e liquid. Upon further research this is a known problem. Their no refund policy is printed at the bottom of your receipt. When you get your receipt it is after you've paid. So their effed up policy is told to you after the fact. No signs posted. Nothing from the employees. Not sure how this place is still in business. My wife was SCREWED by a salesman named "Keith" at the Gilbert Road location. She bought an item, and was told by this person that she could return it if it did not suit her needs, and was unused within 24 hours. The item in question was not what she needed, was never ever used, and she went back immediately to return it. Come to find out, there was no returns on this item. It was on the bottom of the receipt that was buried in the bag that there were no refunds. The question is: Why would someone tell a buyer that they could return something when they couldn't??? Again, this was an brand new item that could certainly be resold. VERY DISHONEST!!! Now we are stuck with a $95 item that we must resell to recoup some of our hard-earned money.
