    Cornhusker Chicken Sandwich
    Jenny S.

Had lunch at DJ's Dugout with a group of 10+ friends to celebrate a coworker's new job, and it couldn't have gone smoother! We all arrived at different times, and since it's a seat-yourself kind of place, we found a few large tables in the back that worked perfectly for our group. We were greeted quickly, and drink orders were taken right away. I went with a Diet Coke, which hit the spot. After giving our chatty group a few minutes to browse the menu, our server came back to take orders. I decided on the Cornhusker Chicken Sandwich with a side of honey mustard and extra-crispy tots. Around the table, there was a nice mix of burgers, melts, and wings. There is truly something for everyone. The food came out fast, hot, and fresh. My sandwich was so good. It was one of the better chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time. I skipped the shaved ham, and honestly, I didn't miss it at all. The flavors stood perfectly on their own. Everyone at the table seemed to love their meals, and the conversation flowed easily as we laughed and reminisced. Our server did an excellent job keeping drinks topped off and plates cleared without ever making us feel rushed. Whether you're stopping in with a small group or a big crowd, DJ's Dugout knows how to make everyone feel welcome. Great food, great service, and a great time!

My husband, friend, and I grabbed tacos last Tuesday for lunch. My husband and I split 2 tacos (1 beef and 1 chicken) along with jalapeño poppers. The tacos were huge and loaded with meat, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, and a side of salsa. We had to pay extra for fresh jalapeños and sour cream though. Tons of food for the price!

They recently made their menu smaller and prices seem a bit higher, but the wings are still good and relatively affordable, service is standard a little slow but food came out hot and table was clean. Standard sports bar atmosphere so loud tvs and conversation. Definitely a bit of a cigarette smell from the smoking area outside but overall a decent place to go for lunch or dinner and catching the game. Casual, food is always decent for bar food and not a terrible price.

Chicken Melt - Soft fatty bacon, oily sourdough bread and bland flattened chicken with too much breading. Worse than fast food.

3 stars may be generous. Dark and kinda dirty restaurant with overpriced mediocre food. Servers were nice. Not a place to go if you care about quality. Seems like a good place for large groups to grab a beer, watch a game, and eat greasy food.

    Game Day Nachos

Watching in the distance I see a waitress holding a plate with a literal mountain of chips and cheese walking toward us. I said, "what the hell is that thing?!" And my friend says, "oh yeah...that's our nachos!" As I'm looking at this thing in amazement, I notice everyone else around me doing the same thing and saying, "holy crap! No way I could eat all that!" There were three of us total and we decided to share this monster nacho plate they have, and I had NO IDEA what I was getting into, but I'm so glad I did! It was worth every calorie, and it wasn't even that pricey for that monstrosity. Less than $20 I believe. I love the selection of sports here too! On any given day you can walk in here and find whatever game you're looking for on one of the TVs. On this particular day it was the Nebraska women's volleyball semifinals. It's a nice blue collar spot for good food, good beverages, and tons of sports!!

I know 5 stars might seem a little suspect, but i have come here quite a bit the past few months, and either i have perfect timing or the staff and management are just that excellent. If you have ever heard of expectation vs. reality, this place gets it right! Food comes out piping hot, looks perfect, and the prices are pretty dang good. They have food specials every day, also their own 32oz drinks that are really good. The interior is really spacious with tons of seating for any sport that is on. If you didn't already know, you should now that this is a place to go. This review is for the bellevue site.

I've been to this location a couple of times and always received great service. Their nachos are delicious and huge! They always load the toppings on their nachos. They have a nice selection of beers on tap as well. It's dark inside when you walk in, but they have a ton of TVs to watch whatever game you might want.

Follow up. Another win for me. Went again and I'll say the service was great, drinks were good and food was fantastic. I still love the atmosphere here with the keno and a different sport on every TV.

Most restaurants treat the burger bearing their name like the default setting: lettuce, tomato,…read moreonion, and just enough personality to satisfy the legal definition of lunch. The Sickies Burger apparently never received that memo. This is a signature burger that signs its name in calligraphy. This was my first visit, and Daylen was an outstanding guide through a menu containing enough choices to trigger a minor decision-making crisis. He was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in figuring out what would best satisfy my craving. His recommendation was the Sickies Burger with waffle fries, and the man knew exactly what he was doing. The waffle fries were quite good, but they never had a fair chance of becoming the main attraction. They had been seated next to a burger that walked in, took control of the table, and began giving interviews. The Sickies Burger has all the right ingredients, but the pièce de résistance is its hot sauce. It is not particularly spicy; it is simply loaded with flavor. There also isn't much of it, so it doesn't appear in every bite. Ordinarily, inconsistent sauce distribution might be a flaw. Here, it turns lunch into a culinary scavenger hunt. Every few bites, the hot sauce suddenly returns and reminds you why you ordered the restaurant's autograph burger. The dining room also deserves credit. There was plenty of seating, the tables weren't packed together like economy passengers, and the restaurant remained comfortably quiet despite having a good crowd. Even the background music was kept at a reasonable volume, allowing people to enjoy dinner without communicating through hand signals. The lighting could be brighter, though. By evening, "mood lighting" might be the most generous technical description. The only real negative was an unpleasant background odor when I entered--something reminiscent of dirty dishwater. I noticed it throughout the meal and was never quite able to tune it out. It wasn't powerful but it didn't add to the experience, either. All in all, Daylen provided excellent service, the atmosphere was refreshingly comfortable, and that burger was amazing. I came in as a first-time customer trying to narrow down the menu. I left knowing exactly what I would order again: the burger confident enough to put the restaurant's name on it and talented enough to deserve the signature.

One of my friends has been here with his co-workers a few times but I haven't been here before. (Maybe one time many many years ago that I don't remember....) We walk in on a Monday night and there were a few people there. It's a small place so I'm glad we were able to get a table. When we sat down, the bartender, (waitress as well), came right over and took our drink orders and eventually our food orders. I wanted to try their renowned broasted chicken. (A device essentially uses pressure cooking and light frying to create a thin crispy skin and juicy interior). The chicken was some of the best 'fried' chicken that I've ever had, seriously. Super crispy skin and juice inside. Reminds me a little of Korean fried chicken. The texas toast was yummy, the cole slaw was creamy (if you like creamy slaw), and the crispy tots were crispy delicious. My friend got a broasted chicken sammich and he loved it too. (High praise coming from him.) My friends and I have been wanting to go back and get more broasted chicken since we left. On Fridays, they have a 4 piece special for $13.99 that I'll have to take advantage of soon. All in all, this little bar/restaurant has some amazing food that I just didn't expect after driving and running past it for years. Can't wait to go back.

We started with the fried pickles and the cheese curds, which were both very good! We loved the chipotle ranch! I ordered a bloody mary which was very strong and strangely kind of sweet? Not sure if that's how it was supposed to be... but I didn't really like it. I ordered the chicken caesar salad with a side of fries. Just wanted something light! Unfortunately the caesar salad was a miss, the dressing was weird and tasted a lot more like ranch than anything else. The popcorn chicken on top was just eh. I realize this may not be the place to order a salad... but even for a sports bar it wad just not great. My boyfriend got a burger and seemed to enjoy that a lot more! We probably wouldn't be back. It was a pretty mediocre experience. I will say the portion sizes were HUGE... but can't say much else.

The bar was pretty full so the hostess suggested I go to the upstairs bar. Waited almost ten minutes for a bartender to come out. A few other people came and sat at the bar after me and ordered food and drinks. Their food started arriving but not mine. After 30 minutes the bartender said she would go downstairs and check on it. The tacos were fine. Not terrible but not great. I asked for the check but she ran out of paper in the register. She got a partial print out of my bill and asked me to just sign it. I said no I needed a receipt for work. So I waited another 15 until she could find somebody to help her with the register paper. I might go back if I was with friends but I would order something else and I would not want her as a bartender.
