Even at one point when a family member requested something, they ran across an entire field to find me just to ask if it was part of the plan, and thankfully they did because it wasnt! Every song, to every part of the wedding was absolutely perfect and they made the night. They also accommodated me in a special song i wanted to perform. If your worried about who is going to DJ and MC your event, you have absolutely nothing to worry about with this company. AMAZING

Every part of our experience with Dare was exceptional, from selecting the right package, to curating the perfect playlist (from traditional hora music to pop), seamlessly setting up in the two (very separate) outdoor spaces, professionally mitigating a slight timing issue in our schedule with fill-in music, and even making sure we had a bubble machine at the right moment. The only complaint I've heard about the music at our wedding is that everyone wishes the venue let us dance for another hour. I've seen them DJ at parties, bars, and now at our wedding, and now I'm looking for reasons to plan another party just to get that extra hour of dancing and an excuse to have him bring the photobooth.

I was born in the U.S., part Italian Catholic, part Jewish. My husband was born in China. We had a lot of traditions to celebrate at our wedding and Red Wedding helped make sure everyone from every background felt totally included, with music, activities, and live translation of the whole reception. From the initial planning meetings with Steven, we knew we were in good hands. He was extremely organized and attentive to detail as we walked through the full reception timeline together, minute by minute. He was a good listener, understanding the type of event we wanted, which allowed him to make very helpful suggestions for the programming and timing. Steven was very generous with his time in these planning meetings, and the materials he prepped and shared (timelines, song lists, lists of key persons to recognize, etc.) meant that we knew in advance that everything would go smoothly on the big day. We also really appreciated that May, our DJ, and Sisi, our English/Mandarin MC, took the time to meet with us in advance of the wedding as well so that we were on the same page with everything from musical styles to how to pronounce the wedding party's names exactly right in both languages. My husband and I also really appreciated how well the Red Wedding team worked with our main contact at the reception venue and with our month-of wedding coordinator, taking the time to meet with them in advance to hash out logistics and set out clear roles & responsibilities. All of this planning meant that the reception itself was nothing short of spectacular! The grand entrance, the first dance, the mother-son dances, the anniversary game, the hora, the dance sets - everything was flawless! Seriously, I have been dreaming about my first dance with my spouse at my wedding since I was a little kid and - just like the title of our song - it was Perfect. May did an amazing job as DJ striking the right tone for all the different segments of the evening. Sisi was absolutely delightful as MC - she was energetic and funny and sweet but still kept the spotlight on us and our whole family, keeping both the American and Chinese sides engaged and partying together. Multiple guests came up to me after the wedding to say how impressed they were with the Red Wedding team, and we heartily agree! My husband and I are so grateful to Steven, May, and Sisi for making our special day so special, and we cannot recommend them highly enough!

We were most interested in their bilingual MC services (as we had multiple Mandarin only speakers at the event) and were extremely impressed by their ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin as well as transition between various parts of the evening. Their DJ was great and everyone had so much fun on the dance floor! Overall we highly recommend Red Wedding for MC/DJ services (especially for any bilingual MC!).

George was FANTASTIC! Certain components of a wedding are definitely more important to some people…read moremore than others. For us, music was our top priority- we wanted to dance the night away (followed by great food, venue, décor etc.). Our one true desire was to have a great time and 5 Star Entertainment truly made that possible. We were very nervous about booking a DJ, (since neither of us had ever really done that before) and while we have been to quite a few good weddings, when we priced out our friends DJ's they were A LOT more expensive (and I remembered that they played the electric slide- despite our friends request so we were nervous that that same kind of mistake would occur at our wedding and we decided to do some research, and the reviews about Five Star were all very good and people reiterated that they really listened to them/followed their instruction and we liked reading that). Five Star Entertainment is a Knot pick, which we liked since clearly The Knot is the equivalent of a bride's bible, the go to place and they did not disappoint. We filled out paperwork, had a definitive layout for how we wanted to be announced, when we'd do the toast, the dances, certain songs that were "must plays" for us, as well as "don't dare play" songs and George really listened to us. I had an idea for our entrance and he made a mix that got the night started off right, he took my idea and cultivated it into something that blew my original suggestion away (while keeping with my idea). The dance floor was packed all night long with music ranging from disco to house. Our wedding was filled with a variety of different age groups, but none of that seemed to play a role in who was/wasn't dancing -matter of fact, I think EVERYONE was dancing. At one point a guest requested a song, which he put on (it wasn't a do not play, it just wouldn't have been a song I would have chosen but it def fit in with the freestyle 80's thing that was on at the time) I made eye contact with George, which was surprisingly easy to do in a room full of people dancing and he immediately mixed in something else- which gave my friend a small portion of a song she wanted to hear, while also giving me the ability to nix it (lol) and the confidence that he was in touch with us. Obviously everyone thinks their own wedding is the best wedding ever (or at least I hope that is how they feel) not only did we feel that way, we were flooded with calls throughout the week after the wedding and beyond with people telling us the same thing. People had a wonderful time and the phrase" best wedding ever" was used repeatedly. That night surpassed my wildest dreams, expectations and Five Star definitely played a pivotal role in making that night remarkable. Tommy MC'd that night and he was great. He too had his eye on us all night long to make sure we were content with the music selection, the timing of everything and while I felt like he was always present- he wasn't obnoxious with the microphone (I hate when you go to a wedding and the MC doesn't shut up), he wasn't trying to dance with the guests (another pet peeve of mine), they weren't drinking etc. They were all extremely professional. They arrived ahead of time, set everything up in t-shirts and jeans and were decked out in suits and ties before you knew it. He gave us a preview of our montage, a piping hot entrance remix and the packed wedding dance floor of our dreams. That night was magical, good friends, food, decor and GREAT music. If you are like us and you love to dance and are booking a DJ for the first time, or the first time in a long time, go with Five Star Entertainment-. We look forward to having them DJ many more events for us!

We hired DJ Dre for our wedding in January and loved working with her! She is upbeat, kind, and fun. Our family and guests had nothing but good things to say about her. Our wedding was a culturally mixed affair, with a wide variety of music tastes and preferences. Dre did a great job incorporating all of them into the mix, bringing everyone out to the dance floor. She was receptive and took time prior to the wedding date to get to know us, our vision, and showed up prepared and invested for our meetings and the day of the wedding. She took our creative ideas and ran with them, putting together an incredibly fun script to introduce a game we made up for our guests to play at our reception. We were so impressed that we chose Exquisite for our own wedding, utilizing their MC, DJ, and photo booth services. But that's when I found Exquisite and also realized it was the same company used for my friend's wedding, and we remember thinking that they did a good job. They also have photobooth services, and I also remember liking their photobooth because the pictures were high quality with a classy background (and not cheesy like some can be), so it basically killed two birds with one stone. Cathy was our emcee and Edmund was our DJ. About a week before the wedding, we met with Cathy and she had drafted an entire schedule of events for us, which was extremely helpful. On the day of, she also helped keep us on track, which was much appreciated because as you know, the day is very hectic and just flies by in the blink of an eye. There were a few slight hiccups (i.e. they forgot giant photo booth prop heads we had them make of us, no party favors as mentioned in the contract, and I don't think they coordinated with the maitre'd well enough - for the ceremony, I wanted to walk down the aisle at a very specific point in the song, but the maitre'd had me and my parents come out of the doors too soon - so all of the guests were literally just staring at us for an entire minute, waiting for us to walk). I don't think these are things that are unforgiveable and probably not even things that the guests even noticed but when you're the bride, you notice everything and of course, you want everything to be perfect. Overall, it was still the best day, and everyone loved Cathy and Edmund. They kept the energy up, even though it was a daytime wedding. All of our guests had a blast!
