Sergio is amazing! We had the pleasure of having him DJ at our wedding in August, and he exceeded my expectations. Such a nice guy, very accommodating, and would respond to any questions we had very quickly. I was a little worried about our ceremony music since we did not have a chance to rehearse the music nor did I provide him a cutoff time for the songs, but he was on point! For the reception, he started off more mellow and PG like we had asked (my husband's family is somewhat conservative, aka boring) and then it picked up with more hip-hop, early 2000s hits and reggaeton as the night progressed. Our friends looked like they were all having a great time on the dance floor and they kept telling us weeks after the wedding that the DJ did not disappoint. I actually found DJ Lunatic (Sergio) here on yelp! We needed a bilingual and diverse DJ who could give our crowd a mix of music and boy, did he deliver! Both mine and my husband's families are Mexican, however, his family listens to more Banda/cumbias, while my family listens to more chicano jams and old school. We also had a wide range of our Bay Area friends who came down to Ventura County for our wedding, so he definitely had his job cut out for him! I have got to say, that dance floor was not empty once! His mixes kept our friends and family dancing to music that they're not used to, so it was a blast! Woo Woo DJ Lunatic is in the house. I rarely do review like this but i was just so amazed how professional yet super friendly he was. I threw a 21 and over birthday party, not only was he on time but he came ready and knew what he came to do. The party was a huge success, HIGHLY recommend. DJ Lunatic really knows how to keep the party going! I hired him for a bridal shower that I threw. I rented a house at the beach and he came out bright and early to set up. He is very easy to get along with and was really helpful when I was unsure what type of music would make everyone happy at our combo bridal shower/pool party/slumber party. Although we only contracted him for 6 hours, he readily agreed to stay longer when the party didn't end as early as I thought it would. He played a fun mix of hip hop, dance, and some fun pop. Sergio is AMAZING!! I work for Special Olympics in Ventura County, aside from Sports we do a few other events for our athletes. One very important; our Athlete Appreciation Dance every summer. We were left out with out a DJ two weeks before the dance, and DJ LUNATIC happily stepped in, no questions asked. He played great music for out athletes, volunteers and family members. DJ Lunatic (Sergio) did my wedding at Quail Ranch in Simi Valley on Sept. 17th. We are so lucky we found him! He not only is a very friendly and easy person to get a long with but is really on top of his work. His personality was great for a very stressed out bride. He made me feel very relaxed and at ease. Before even hiring him he sent us a couple CDs to check out his music, which I still have in my car and listen to quite often. His mixes are really great! I was looking for a DJ that was familiar with music in Spanish and English, and Sergio is excellent! He knows music genres in both Spanish and English very well. He came to my wedding rehearsal which worked out great because he was able to speak with my wedding coordinator and the venue owner. He became familiar with the space and we discussed set up as well. I can't tell you how much this helped! The week leading up to my wedding was very hard on me but DJ Lunatic worked with me and was patient as I lagged on getting him my song list. The day of the wedding he got all the songs I requested right and worked great with my vendors. He is bilingual, which was a HUGE plus for us. What I loved about him was that he did not center himself, often DJs take up too much space at weddings but he was so good about just making it about us.
