You will be making the best decision if you use DJ Julius at one of your events. My wedding isn't until April 2019 and here I am already writing him a five star review! Over and over again I am floored by his professionalism. He's conducted himself in the most considerate and courteous way possible. At this point he has far exceeded my expectations. Weddings are incredibly stressful; Julius will not add to that chaos. He has actually been there to minimize the burden. This is a vendor that genuinely cares about the outcome of your event and your overall happiness with their service. I'll be back after the wedding to update the review, but other than singing more praises I am sure it won't change much :) read more

5 stars is not enough. He deserves at least 10 stars!!! Huge thanks to DJ Julius for making our wedding one of the best nights of our lives! We hired DJ Julius to be the DJ at our wedding. He was everything we imagined and more! He turned out to be MORE than a DJ. He became our Visual Audio guy as well. He draped the entire ballroom, put up all the LED up lights, set up the spot lights, provided a projector to display a slide show, and played the absolute best music during our wedding. He had everyone dancing the entire night. We asked him to play Persian music, Latin music, and top 40s. He did a fantastic job mixing between these music types. He was so great that we had tons of guests asking for his contact info to hire him for their future events. DJ Julius was absolutely amazing and helpful. Anything we requested, if it was possible to do, he would do his best to make it happen. He is the most humble and honest person we have ever met. He never attempted to up charge us, or hustle us into purchasing anything more just to make extra money off of us. He gave great suggestions and through the process he continued to be extremely helpful and polite. He made sure that all the attention would be on us that night, and not on him. I can't say enough about him. We definitely plan to use him in the future for other events, and have referred him to friends. My advice would be to book him early. Couple of our friends tried to book him about 3 months in advance and he was already booked for the date they wanted. read more

DJ Julius - Draping, stage cover, and Lighting done by DJ Julius - DJs Near Me

Julius goes above and beyond what a DJ should be doing. He has done so many weddings and events that he has an intrinsic understanding of how to stay calm and keep the party going. Here's my experience. Our first meeting he met with me in Orange County, pretty much at a drop of a hat because my wedding was supposed to be in LA and I had flown down from SF to LA to meet with my vendors. He even took time to show me another venue on that day because mine was on the verge of falling through. Let me just stop a second, and ask you to think about this, what DJ goes out of their way to drive and meet with you and then on top of that shows you other wedding locations? That's so incredible! He was super flexible and he worked with me on everything. On another meeting, he came to my venue, and he asked me questions I hadn't even thought of myself. He was incredibly organized and made sure he knew all the important songs: what song should be playing during procession, what song to play when I walked down the aisle, what song to play at the conclusion of the ceremony, what songs to play during grand entry... etc... Also, I was so busy with everything else, a lot of these songs I hadn't even thought of myself. I seriously asked him "what do you think sounds good?" and "what do you recommend?" like 20 times during that conversation. I fully trusted him. Day of the wedding, I saw my table centerpieces and wanted to cry- the flowers were awful (everything was wrong from color to types of flowers), I told my venue in advance which color uplights to use and when I saw the centerpieces I told them to ask Julius what would look good to mask the fact the flowers were awful. Then I saw my bouquet- half the flowers were wilted and brown before ceremony even started, it was also such a small bouquet. Julius took a photo of it and immediately started to reach out to florists to see what could be done to fix it. He literally ran out like 1 hour before the start of my wedding and bought flowers so that my bouquet could be fixed. If you are looking for someone to read the crowd, play the right music all night long, be able to easily transition between genres and languages, Julius is your guy. Pretty much every single person who came to my wedding told me how awesome it was, I kept hearing "it was like a serious dance party" or "I've never danced that much at a wedding" Julius will go above and beyond to make your wedding great. He is someone you can trust. He shows up and sets up hours in advance, has all the right music, and generally cares about you. Julius, a million thank you's for making my wedding a dream. I can't say thank you enough. read more

Back in November I had a birthday party with a real mixed crowd, in age and culture and DJ Julius was PHENOMENAL!! Everyone was dancing ALL night and no one had a bad word to say about him. He mixed music from different genres and generations so smoothly that the dance floor was never empty. Could not recommend him highly enough, and to top it off, he was a really nice guy too! Persian or non Persian, he definitely knows his business and is great at what he does! Thank you again! read more

I have seen Dj Julius in many events and have had many friends and family who have had the pleasure of working with . A few weeks ago I called him to ask him about my wedding inquiry and I can easily say that he is a genuine guy besides his Dj profession. He took the time to go over all of my silly questions and made me feel welcomed ... Hopefully we will have a pleasure of having our events with him . read more

We had Julius/Excellent Entertainment DJ our wedding this past weekend and could not have been happier with our experience! Julius also did draping and lighting for our venue and it looked stunning; truly beyond expectations! Julius is professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable! His music taste was great and everyone raved on about our party! He was easy to work with through the entire process. His knowledge of wedding/event planning is second to none and he made planning our event so seamless. If I write a review on Yelp, it's not because the business is mediocre. As it usually is I guess in life. People rave about a place, or they find it so awful they have to tell the world about it. Well, DJ Julius is part of the first category. He is so good, I mean really, really good that I just had to write a review about him. My wife and I got married in 2005, and we were blessed to have DJ Julius at our wedding then. He is not only very good at mixing songs, and mixing them correctly by making the transitions seamless between completely different categories of songs, but his whole personality is simply amazing! Every wedding he has been to, birthday party, engagement party, outdoor concert event, has been amazing! And I have seen him enough times, heard him enough times that I cannot but help to smile and go up and chat with him at every one of his events! Seriously folks, if you love not good music, but GREAT music, then you need a GREAT DJ. You don't want to cut corners, because a DJ can make or break a party, and DJ Julius ALWAYS makes the event very memorable! Julius, thank you so much for playing at our wedding, and my sister-in-laws too, and friends' weddings!!! You are simply the best! And we love you for it! read more

We hired Julius for our wedding 8 years ago. I can only imagine how much BETTER he is now. I had paid for a wedding coordinator as well and let's just say Julius ran the show. He did EVERYTHING. Not only he was an AWESOME DJ, but he did what my wedding coordinator did not. We really appreciated all his work. We hope he becomes more successful in his career. Thank you Julius for a great wedding! :o) read more

My husband I just got married on 5/17/2014 at an outdoor venue (I know, both aghd and reception were outdoors!!). Obviously noise was an issue from the get go but Julius drove up from SD to Thousand Oaks 3 months in advance just to make sure he knew where things were located and how to set the system up so that we wouldn't be dealing with noise complaints. When the complaints started he managed everyone without incident and the party raged on!! We had discussed possible lighting upgrades since we had market lighting and lanterns, and he said he would take care of it. When we entered the reception site the sun had just set and you could see the most amazing blush lighting that added just the perfect touch to our decor....and all of this was done without bothering us with pesky questions or having the typical 'cheesy disco' look. Throughout the whole afternoon and evening, he was prompt, professional, authoritative when he had to be, and played the most amazing mix of songs I have heard in a long time. He even managed to mix Depeche in the middle of persian music because my husband is a die hard fan!! I can't speak more highly of him and would recommend him to anyone out there looking for a DJ to host their party. Our guests did not want to leave, and neither did we!! read more

DJ Julius - Crazy shit went down that night. - DJs Near Me

LOVE to walk into a wedding and find out that Julius is the DJ! You will not be disappointed if you leave it up to him..... He is the most talented, professional, down to earth, and experienced DJ in So Cal. He has been the DJ of my wedding and all my 3 sisters along with TON of friends and families. He will make sure every one has a good time and puts all requests in place. I don't know how he does it but he does it to THE BEST ability of any DJ could ever mix. Bottom line, book him for any event you're planning on and let the PARTY begin.... read more

Planning a wedding is very stressful and if you are like me photography and music are the most important vendors! I feel blessed to have been referred by a family friend who went to a wedding that DJ Julius was playing at. He was SO professional and dressed so well and he knew how to keep the music and crowd going! I hired his band as well and last minute through in the sax player and I am so thankful I did!! AMAZING is all I can say!! All of my guest wouldn't stop commenting that the DJ and the band were the best they have ever heard...the best! He knows how to act fast and change things up when it needed it! I had alot of bumps in my time line which were of NO fault of the Julius but my point is that he knew how to act fast so there was never a dull moment! I also married into a different culture, I am Colombian/Peruvian and my husband is a white boy country dude and Julius balanced the music like you wouldn't believe!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taveling so far for my wedding and for your professionalism!! We are so blessed to know you and may God continue to bless your band and your business! DJ Julius played at our Persian-American wedding and did a great job! We wanted a good mix of Persian and American hits and he did just that. He helped us choose certain songs and was even able to get us rare music selections that we wanted. He was able to edit some songs at our request. He did a great job at announcing different events and was very friendly and personable. At the close of our wedding at 1am, the dance floor was still packed. The Americans even danced to the Persian hits Julius picked. He was also really helpful advising us on technical and lighting packages and his prices are fair. Our friends even ended up hiring him for their wedding in September! I'd definitely look to hire DJ Julius for future events! read more

I am a Portland area wedding planner and my clients flew Julius up for their Persian wedding. I knew nothing about him beforehand, but now will certainly recommend him again. Julius was incredibly fast getting back to me through phone or email and he was very flexible. My bride was making changes up until the night before her wedding, and Julius just rolled with the punches. On the day-of, Julius kept the party going to the point that guests didn't want to leave! He was great at making announcements and choosing songs that would keep the dance floor full. There was no "cheese factor" and I couldn't have been happier. Thanks Julius! read more

I don't even know where to start! Julius was recommended to us by our caterer and he was easily one of the best choices we made during our wedding planning process. He is extremely professional, prompt, and knowledgeable in his industry. He answered every question we had and was always so courteous. On the day of the wedding, Julius and his team (which included three instrument players) arrived on time and set everything up without delay. Every song we had chosen was right on queue and he was very well in tune with the flow of the whole night. Without exaggeration, every single guest (both American and Persian!) commented on how delightful our DJ and his team were. They loved every second they spent on the dance floor and so did we. Thank you, Julius, for giving us the most perfect memory of our wedding night. We will never forget the dancing! read more

Julius DJ'd our April 2015 wedding. My family still talks about how nice he was and how great he was as a DJ. I'm Persian and my husband is white so I needed a mix of music for our wedding. More importantly, I needed a DJ who would be able to change up the music throughout the night based on what the crowd was feeling. Julius did just that. He switched from American to Persian to dance seamlessly throughout the night. Our dance floor was full with people the entire night, which is exactly what I wanted. Also, I asked Julius to play older Persian songs - like songs that were popular when I was growing up. He totally got it. He played my and my family's favorite songs and even mixed in some more up to date stuff that has the same vibe. I couldn't ask for anything more. He was instrumental in making our wedding a very memorable and fun party. And also, he's super nice and easy to talk to. read more

2012 I wrote A review for my sisters wedding. Fast forward to 2015 and now it is my turn. Julius, words cannot describe the appreciation and true admiration we have for you. Julius went out of his way to assist us with every step. He is nothing less than amazing and we were lucky to have Julius as a DJ. The dance floor was packed all night. At brunch the next day everyone was asking for Julius's information. I wish i could repay him somehow for his patience and kindness. read more

I'm not so into music but I know what I like and I also have been to enough clubs/bars/parties/festivals, etc to know when a DJ sucks and when they rock. DJ Julius ROCKS!!!! Definitely use him!! DJ Julius just recently DJ'd and provided lighting for our wedding. It was absolutely amazing. First off, he was very professional in meeting and talking with us multiple times and learning about our requirements and preferences. He even gave us tips outside the realm of DJ and lighting and helped us with our wedding timeline quite a bit. He showed great care and empathy for all our concerns. As for lighting, the room was exquisite with the up-light, pin-lights, and dance-floor lights that he installed according to our requirements / wedding theme. The room was completely transformed. We even asked him last minute to provide lighting for the outside lawn and he was able to do that for us as well. Music was great. He worked with us to assign the songs WE wanted to the major events on our timeline. He also asked for a list of songs we definitely wanted to play (and ones we hated), so he can work them as best as possible into his list. The end result was great and we all enjoyed the music throughout the night. All in all, the overall package from DJ Julius far exceeded our expectation and enhanced our event. read more

My wedding was on July 27th and Julius was FANTASTIC. My husband and i are from different backgrounds (He's French, I'm Persian, raised in the States), so lots of differing kinds of music and taste. I totally really really appreciate and will definitely recommend his services. Thank you for making my wedding one of the best memories of my life. read more

DJ Julius is hands down, the BEST DJ in all aspects! We have heard DJ Julius perform at various events prior to hiring him to DJ at our wedding. At every event, he kept everyone extremely entertained and his music just flows so well... We got DJ Julius and his band - and both myself and my husband as well as ALL of our guests were impressed with ALL OF THEM!! I cannot thank Julius enough for being so professional, yet easy to work with - weddings are so so soooo stressful but Julius always reassured us that everything would turn out perfect. We provided him with a few songs that we loved, and he picked all the rest. There was not a single song that I did not like. We also got our uplights and spot lighting as well as dance floor lighting and screens for our slideshow from Julius and it was just PERFECT! He was so kind, constantly communicating with us during the reception to make sure everything was announced properly...he really made the event just flow perfectly. Thank you, thank you, thank you Julius - for making our wedding exceptional with your band as well as your amazing skills!!! I HIGHLY recommend him for any and all events. read more

We hired Julius to DJ our wedding, and he was wonderful. First of all he is very professional and courteous, on top of that he knows how to engage people and read the crowd. Our dance floor was filled with people all night, and I got most complements on entertainment. He brought two of his band members to our wedding and they were fantastic as well. I had to plan my wedding from somewhere other than where I was getting married. It was quite possibly THE most stressful time in my life and eloping was looking better by the minute. Finding DJ Julius was such a relief as I could count on him for everything. I barely had time to speak to the wedding planner, let alone DJ. Julius. Miraculously, he pretty much knew what to do, and let me tell you, the wedding was such a hit because of him. He knew what to play even though I hardly have him any direction. He is such a professional at what he does that I didn't have to worry about anything and finally have fun! My wedding was in Phoenix and he flew out and got everything ready in 24 hours. To add to his already remarkable job, DJ Julius even knew how to play the right amount of Persian music and the right amount of American. My husband is American and I was really worried about making sure everyone really enjoyed the music. No problem. It was as if he had taken a tally of what my guests wanted. The Persians were dancing to Kanye and the Americans were dancing to all the Persian hits. Seriously, I cannot thank DJ Julius and his crew enough. If you are a worrisome bride, take it from the queen of anxiety. Trust Julius as he will set the stage for an incredible evening that you and your guests will never forget. :) read more

Awesome DJ - I would recommend Juius to anyone for a professional, reliable, fun DJ. He is responsive to the client's requests and plays great music. He is not the kind of DJ who wants to make the event about himself - not loud or obnoxious at all - far from it. He makes your event about YOU and is a great MC. He plays the best American and Persian music and will play as much or as little of anything you tell him to. Julius is a true professional and a very nice and humble guy. read more

We hired DJ Julius for our wedding and so glad we did! He was so professional and easy to work with. We met a few weeks before the wedding to discuss music selections for our ceremony entrances, grand entrances, bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc. All the things I didn't even think of, but were so important! He gave us multiple suggestions and made sure the music felt "right" to us. He also provided us with draping and lighting for our ballroom. On the big day, everything came together so beautifully. The ballroom was draped in gorgeous white velvet fabric with lighting all around. He even had spot lights on each of our tables to highlight our floral arrangements. Throughout the night he was able to control the lighting around the room to virtually any color we desired. It really added that "wow" factor to the looks of our reception. I can go on and on about DJ Julius. His music is on point and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long, his emceeing was perfect and made sure everything transitioned smoothly while keeping everyone entertained. He also worked very well with our wedding planner, which I really appreciated. If we requested something of him, she immediately knew about it avoiding any miscommunication or confusion. I highly recommend DJ Julius for any party/event/wedding!!! read more

Thank you, thank you, thank you Julius. Out of 5 possible stars, I give him 500 stars - he is fantastic. Our guests have called our wedding the greatest ever - and we say, "Julius is the greatest ever." Not only is he spiritually centered (very important to us), a gentleman, and fun, he wraps all these qualities with mature professionalism. My new wife and I did the u thinkable and planned our wedding in a month and a half. We met with "Yaba-daba-do" types, and kids who wanted to tell us how we had to do our wedding. Julius was so different. We met him at our venue - a private club we belong to. We liked him instantly, and ended up inviting him to have dinner with us as we continued to explain our vision for our reception. He accepted it all, made some suggestions (which were spot-on), and we became friends. On our wedding date, he "lighted" us and our Sofreh, so the photographer and videographer could get perfect shots. The sound at the out-door weeding area was perfect. When the reception started, and we entered, he took the top off the building. Everyone was on the dance floor, dancing, jumping, singing - all night. The wedding planner had trouble getting people to eat because Julius had translated them all as dancing celebrants of our spiritual commitment to each other. The night was fabulous. Julius is fantastic. He has created one of the greatest memories of our lives and the lives of our guests. read more

Music is food for my soul, so I was very discerning when we decided to choose a DJ for our Iranian American wedding. I have to admit that Julius surpassed my extremely high expectations. He was completely in tune with the guests, and selected songs to ensure the dance floor was never empty. Many of our guests commented on how well he mixed music from the various cultures that were represented in the ceremony (US, Iran, Latin) to create a flawless and memorable evening on the dance floor. He is the main reason we are thinking of a 5 year anniversary party already! read more

We hired Julius to DJ our Persian/American wedding, which we had last weekend. We are particular folks, and had a lot of "particular" guests to please and Julius managed to make everyone happy. Julius is honest, sincere and professional. He did a great job reading the large crowd and mixing the various types of music needed (Persian, American [several genres] music) to keep folks on the dance floor and the energy levels up and positive. I would gladly offer a constructive criticism, if I had any, but I do not. In short: you can hire Julius with the the utmost confidence that you'll be satisfied with the experience. Thank you, Julius. read more
