Everything - from the gathering, to the ceremony, to the reception, and the party after had the perfect tone and tempo to it. Joey nailed all the beats, catered to all of our requests (I wanted our entrance to the reception to be announced in Bruce Buffer style, Joey killed it!), had awesome recommendations, and was a key component in making our wedding the experience of a lifetime. A family friend recommended Devine Visual DJ's to us and we are so happy they were able to be our DJ's at our wedding on 2/22/17. We wanted a nautical theme wedding and Jesse and Orlando got everything spot on!! We asked for them to put navy blue lighting along the walls of the venue and they got it spot on, they had us fill out a questionnaire so that they knew everything and they kept our wedding on schedule so we didn't miss anything, they knew everyone's names and they really pumped up the room. We even gave them a list of songs to play exactly at the wedding ceremony and that went perfectly. They even brought a photo booth and they even created an amazing Template for the photo booth along with props to go along with the theme of our wedding. These guys are the real deal, they are not crazy expensive. They are super professional, they make sure your wedding stays on schedule and they make sure everyone has an amazing time!! 5 stars to the Devine Visual team. I will be recommending them to everyone that needs a DJ. Thanks again guys for making our dream wedding sooo much fun!!

Rich was very excited and energetic throughout the process which made our experience even better! We are so glad we decided to add on a photobooth for our wedding. The kids and the rest of our guests had a blast with the props and loved making silly faces! We really liked that the girl working the photobooth (sorry I forgot her name) kept the prop table clean and organized. She was such a good sport with our crazy family! It was such a relief knowing we could just enjoy our day without worrying about the entertainment. The music was absolutely perfect, and they kept the energy up all night long! I had a very specific vision and didn't make things easy for him, and he always made me feel heard and validated and was a great partner in the planning process. He did everything he could to make my vision a reality, and it turned out perfect!! And maybe most exciting of all, he delivered all of that great service on a fantastic budget that was so much more affordable than the other Santa Barbara DJs we got quotes from. The value for the money we got was incredible and we are so so happy we went with Ventura DJs!! The sound quality was always excellent and he was right on time and had everything tested and ready to go on schedule, so we never had to worry about it. The ceremony music and mic volume were perfect and the transitions were flawless. I never even thought about it, which is how it should be. I've been to too many weddings with sound issues during the ceremony so you can't hear the vows or there is feedback etc, and I was thankful we didn't have any issues at all. During the reception, he was great with announcements such as our grand entrance and getting the dance floor hyped up and filled with guests. He was natural on the mic and made things fun. I made most of my own playlists, as I was very particular about the music I wanted, and he was happy to accommodate me while using his expertise to mix and adjust the order to make sure the songs flowed and the energy was always great. I wanted it to be an epic dance floor like a 2010 dance club haha, and he was so helpful and had some incredible laser lights to go with the fog machine we brought to make it the perfect vibe. The lasers + fog machine combo was a real winner and made the pictures look so epic - highly recommend. He also has cold sparks that we decided to add on a whim and they were SO AWESOME! Can't recommend those enough - it made our pictures extra special and guests were amazed, and he had perfect timing to hit all the high moments. (no fire concern, the sparks are literally cold to the touch) And finally, we also used his photo booth, which was fantastic with great background options and the picture quality and hilarious variety of props were perfect. We LOVE looking over our digital gallery in addition to the printed strips. So long story short - doing with DJ Fluffy and Ventura DJs was the best decision we ever made for our wedding and if I could give him more than 5 starts I would!

Throughout the night, guests kept coming up to us to tell us how amazing our DJ was--and we couldn't agree more. We felt that way from the very beginning of working with him. Our wedding was at the beautiful Eden Gardens, and Joey exceeded our expectations in every way. He had to set up in three different locations throughout the venue, arrived early, and had everything ready well before guests arrived. He checked in with our wedding party before the ceremony and our grand entrance to make sure everyone was queued up and everything ran smoothly. When our coordinator requested Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from all of our vendors, Joey was the very first to respond. One of Joey's biggest strengths is knowing exactly how to read and engage a crowd. He kept the energy up all night while making everything feel effortless. He spent hours with us beforehand going over every detail of our vision and also shared his professional recommendations to make sure everything flowed perfectly. With Joey, you're not just hiring someone to press play on a playlist--you're getting an experienced wedding DJ and MC who knows how to keep a wedding on schedule, keep guests entertained, and bring your ideas to life. We also had a projector with a slideshow of our photos. Since our venue was completely outdoors, it ended up being too bright to play during cocktail hour as we had originally planned. Joey immediately came to us with a solution. He suggested moving it to a different location and time, setting it up near the photo booth where guests were waiting in line. It worked out perfectly, and several guests commented on how much they enjoyed watching it while they waited. Throughout the entire evening, Joey checked in with us to make sure we were happy with how everything was going. He also has an easy-to-use planning app where couples can organize music selections for every part of the wedding, make requests, and leave notes about the timeline. Before the wedding, we met to review every detail together. I even told him he was the only DJ we interviewed who didn't simply ask us to send over a Spotify playlist and call it a day. He truly took the time to understand what we wanted and treated our wedding like the unique event it was. Joey was very patient with us through the whole planning process and we were so grateful that he can relate to how stressful the month leading up to the wedding can be. I can go on and on but bottom line is that we confidently recommend Joey to anyone who is getting married. You're getting more than a DJ with him.

Joey the DJ is the one you want with you on your big day, hands down. Seriously, stop your search,…read morebecause this guy is IT. Everything you want: fun, prepared, goes above & beyond, sincere, professional, ENERGETIC...it's all with Joey! Joey was the DJ for my sister's wedding last year, and he truly made the night! We had few issues with the DJ at our own wedding years back, so we are no stranger to the importance of a DJ that truly meshes with the group and is additive to the overall experience. For example, our own wedding DJ pronounced our NAME WRONG when announcing us "for the very first time!" That is the kind of nonsense you will never find at a Joey the DJ wedding, because Joey truly cares about his couples and their people. As the maid of honor, Joey spent a few moments with me before the reception to talk to me, ask what kind of music I liked, and chat about the couple. When it came time for him to announce me for my MOH speech, he had thoughtful and personal details to include, which I was so impressed by, since we had only just met. It made me feel more comfortable going up to speak, and I appreciated it so much. At a wedding, your DJ isn't just spinning tunes for the dance floor. They are also the emcee who will control the flow of the day. Joey wears this hat and performs his duties gracefully & seamlessly, helping transition large groups from ceremony to reception to dance floor with ease. I have gotten to see Joey work again at another wedding, and I can confirm that he brings the same fun, class, energy, and "anything for the couple" spirit to each event that he works. I've seen Joey help carry heavy bottles of wine, assist elderly folks walking on uneven ground, and even jump into the pool with the couple at the end of the night. He takes time to talk with the parents of the bride/groom before they speak, so he can put them at ease, and so he has a personal note to touch on when introducing them. The music will be a beautiful reflection of the diversity of the crowd, because Joey does his homework and asks in advance, and because he has a deep knowledge and love of all music. Joey is truly the dream DJ for any wedding. He is an embodiment of the vibrant energy plus experienced professionalism that you want behind you on your big day.

Read on. I used Natalie on June 22nd 2013 for my wedding. Natalie met with my (to-be) wife and I and she had helpful checklists that rapidly took us through every aspect of the day. She was very interested in our suggestions and asked a lot of questions to hone in on exactly what mood, tone and atmosphere we wanted created at every point. She was able to come up with music for the entire day and evening that can only be described as "the perfect everything for Mike and Holly's wedding". Natalie never said "no" or "we can't really do that" or "I don't have that music". That was reassuring to us! When you are trying to put together a wedding on a tight budget and tight time line, having someone like Natalie on our team really made what could have been a fricking nightmare a lot calmer. She used the phrase "no worries" a lot, meant it, and ultimately she backed that shit up. She also played a live song with me (at my request) and this was very moving to everyone there, to say the least. She sounds like a cross between Cher, Janice Joplin, Linda Perry, Robert Plant and Annie Lennox. She fricking rocks! Part of the whole thing, I wanted a violinist to play for guests arriving and to play with me during the live song. Natalie found a violinist who was not only amazing (someone who played violin live with the biggest names in music), but at a very reasonable price. She even dressed like a pirate, as it was a pirate themed wedding. Playing live with her was a real treat. The last thing I remember that night was my wife and I dancing the night away to block rockin' beats and every corny disco and funk song we ever loved growing up, and lots of other music picked to entertain our extremely diverse party of guests. "A good time was had by all" and this pirate themed wedding literally went down in history and became the discussion de rigueur on Facebook for the next fricking month lol.
