She was organized, responsive, and made it easy to plan our vision. DJ John was absolutely perfect for our wedding day. He was personable, professional, and incredibly easy to work with, and he did a fantastic job both as our DJ and emcee. The music and transitions were seamless, and he kept our dance floor full throughout the night. The sound quality was also excellent. We had an outdoor ceremony, and multiple guests told us afterward that the sound was some of the clearest, highest-quality ceremony audio they had ever heard at an outdoor wedding. We were so thankful that our guests were able to appreciate our special moment without straining to hear. We're so happy that we chose Music With Bonnie and would highly recommend Bonnie and John to anyone planning their wedding.

We worked with Bonnie up until the wedding day - and she was always attentive, responded to emails quickly, and was very reassuring that her goal was to make it the best wedding we could imagine. Well, she was right - John did an INCREDIBLE job!! We were blown away!! Despite our ceremony being on the beach (which can be noisy without speakers), John set up everything so that the ceremony flowed without issue and everyone could hear the music, the officiant, and us perfectly. For the reception (at El Paseo Restaurant), he played all the music we asked for (including the songs I requested for cocktail hour and dinner), read the crowd well, and was a great MC for the grand entrance, dances, speeches, and shoe game we did. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night!! I even provided a "Do Not Play" list that John strictly followed - he didn't seem to feel pressured by guests (even my close family members) when they started requesting songs on the list. He held strong to what we asked for and I really appreciated that! It was just such a fun day!! We can't thank Bonnie and John enough for the wonderful service and highly recommend hiring Music by Bonnie for your wedding.

Great communication with song selection, timing, setup, etc. He was responsive with emails, calls, and texts. The setup looked amazing and everything was seamless. Very professional setup and equipment. I would highly recommend him and would hire him for any event no question.

Unfortunately, I had a really disappointing experience with Josh at my wedding, and I wouldn't…read morerecommend him to other couples. Despite providing clear verbal, written, and even video instructions, he missed several major cues--starting our first dance too early, announcing the father-daughter dance while we were still bowing, then missing the cue to start the actual song. He also completely botched the ceremony music cue, even though we went over everything in advance. To make things worse, he canceled a scheduled meeting at the venue just days before the wedding, which was supposed to help finalize details. We created a video walk-through for him to avoid any confusion, but he still didn't follow the plan. The playlists we spent time curating were not played in the right order--for example, after the father-daughter dance, he was supposed to ease into international and intergenerational music. Instead, he played "Work Bitch" by Britney Spears, which was wildly inappropriate for that moment and crowd. He didn't read the room at all. He billed himself as an MC, but he barely engaged with the crowd and did nothing to energize or guide the evening. I'm talking ZERO charisma. I had written him a script and a detailed timeline to make things easy, and still, we were left scrambling. After my solo bridal performance, he didn't switch to the Armenian playlist as instructed. I had to go to the booth myself and ask. Then, when he disappeared mid-set (apparently for a bathroom break), he left the playlist on shuffle and songs began to repeat. Again, I had to step in and manage it myself--on my own wedding night. Even my cousin asked me, "Why are you DJing your own wedding?" Overall, it was an unprofessional and stressful experience. I put so much effort into creating a fun and thoughtful night, and instead of enjoying it, I found myself constantly managing a vendor who should've had it under control. He came off as sloppy, unprepared, and totally not up to the task.
