One of the aspects of our wedding the guests commented on most was how great the music was, and that they hadn't had that good a time dancing in years. Tons of people even went out of their way to say it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding, most of which I put down to the music. Starting with the ceremony through our late night karaoke dance party I'd say DJ E.T. was the keystone of the event execution. He did all our music and just helped create this fun, romantic, warm vibe that we wanted for the night. We also had my husband's sister, who is a professional singer, surprise their mom and sang the song for the mother-son dance (all the tears). E.T. helped coordinate with her throughout, from talking backing tracks to mic quality, to doing a sneaky sound check on the day of the wedding. The reception was a total blast, and he read the dance floor well the entire time to keep energy up and include all the different generations and nationalities. People were coming from so many different cultures and backgrounds, and E.T. got everyone out there--including tons of adorable kids--from conservative Australian boomers to E-40 loving Oakland locals (our wedding was in the Santa Cruz mountains, but my family and I are from the town). For our afterparty we transitioned into the venue's hall (the reception and dancing was outside acoustics were perfect) and E.T. had a second setup ready to go so my dad could sing the first song right on time and get the party going. We were worried people might not sing, karaoke is not everyone's jam, but everyone was having so much fun there was actually a long waitlist! And to top it off when it wasn't their turn to sing the other guests just kept dancing and rocking out. I can't recommend DJ E.T. highly enough. He was by far the best vendor we worked with, just kind, responsive, intelligent, fun, professional and effective throughout. Your wedding is safe in his hands. read more

All of the 5-start reviews are TRUE! DJ E.T. was the DJ and MC for our wedding last weekend in Palo Alto. I'm not sure how my mother found him, but he did not disappoint. He had great energy and presence, and amazing music. We met with him a few times leading up our wedding (by phone or in-person, all part of his planning process) to review the run of show and make sure he knew how to pronounce everyone's names. We gave him our list of 5 must play songs during the reception, and he made the rest of the magic happen. He is flexible and even added a surprise music performance from my dear friend last minute. We would recommend him for any type of event and especially weddings!! read more

DJ E.T. was amazing! My wife hired him for our wedding celebration and he did not disappoint. Super friendly and outgoing; he called us a couple times before party to gauge our musical tastes and finalize last minute details. Got everyone on the dance floor and was mentioned many times to us by our guests by how good the music was. Super professional and overall a great guy. read more

DJ ET has a great knack for reading his audience and getting everybody into the groove! Even people you wouldn't expect to cut loose can't help but shake it when he's behind the tables! Great taste in music, great attitude, great collaboration with his clients, and he's handsome to boot! Can't ask for much more in a Dj! read more

DJ E.T is truly fantastic. He DJ'd my wedding in Feb. 2016 and not only did a great job at the wedding itself but was truly wonderful to work with. He is a true professional -- responds quickly to emails, shows up on time and is so so prepared. He constantly touched base about things for the wedding to make sure that everything was exactly as we wanted it to be and even took the time to go see the venue with me beforehand so he would know where he would need to set things up. The day of everything went perfectly. I didn't have to coordinate with him at all, he just Emceed the entire night according to the schedule we had talked through before and it was great. He has the perfect balance of saying just enough to keep the crowd lively and laughing but isn't one of those DJs who talks too much. He was funny, upbeat, but most importantly really seemed to be enjoying himself while he is doing his job. We listened to a lot of his sample playlists before the wedding and had liked what we heard so we gave him some general guidance as to what we were looking for but mainly let him go with what he felt. His choice in music and the way he progressed the music throughout the night was great. The dance floor was never empty and everyone old and young had some songs to dance to at some point in the night. My husband and I honestly couldn't recommend E.T. any higher. He is a really good DJ and a really great person. read more

ET is the best! He has a wonderful demeanor and is incredibly talented. He had everyone at my company holiday party dancing. I'd call that a giant success. read more

I couldn't have asked for a better DJ/emcee at my wedding last September. ET brought great energy and personality to the event and worked very well with the venue and event coordinator. From pre-meetings to the day of, he made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. He put in extra effort to tour our venue and get to know the owners prior to our wedding. ET brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to help us build out our set list, establish a timeline and create an experience that was worry-free. On the day of, he really played to the crowd and made sure everyone was dancing and having a good time. I would highly recommend DJ E.T. for future special events or weddings! read more

E.T. totally got what kind of music we wanted played at our wedding (despite not giving great instructions to him) and he was a complete pleasure to work with. Super easy, fun, organized, and had great ideas beyond just the music. He was willing to accommodate some wacky ideas and helped us think through what we wanted and didn't want at our wedding. Would recommend him for any event. read more

E.T. was great and then some. He was theDJ at our wedding at the Brazilian Room late April 2018. Really what it came down to was that he treated the event almost as if it was his own, his own family. Like treating something as if its yours and really being prepared, with attention to detail. Very responsive to email. I must have emailed him back and forth about 80 times and he got back within a day at minimum. Sometimes it was within minutes. We joked about how much we emailed each other the second time we met. He met with us before the wedding date to do some prep which really helped. His request, not ours. He wanted to get to know us and we agreed on the value of that face to face. We met him twice. Not surprised if he ranks in top 3-5 best DJ's for wedding events in the Bay. Then the music, the heart of the matter and his craft. He know his stuff, listens to what you want to play at your event, clearly has music knowledge that is vast, but can always drill down into whatever music niche you want. Got everything we asked for- Ceremony, Cocktail hour, dinner. No mistakes. And he provides equipment for the ceremony. All went well!! Key for us during the whole event - he checked in with us as if he was also co-running the wedding planner role. Helped keep things on track, made strong recommendations to keep things going smoothly, but did so in a very clear, calm manner - great communicator, super clear. Really engaged/kind with all our guests. He had everyone up on the dance floor and my wife danced EVERY SONG - no exaggeration. What a pro, earlier than everyone to the event, chill in tense times. I remember his words of wisdom after our second meeting - "take it one day at a time," which he said to us because we were getting really close to the event so stress level was running slightly higher than it was earlier in the year. He was a true partner through it. Go with E.T. :) You will not regret. read more

Hands down, DJ E.T. is one of the best event DJs in the Bay Area. Most impressive was his professionalism; from planning to setup to performance to finish, he was courteous as a vendor, and effective as a DJ (i.e., he gets the party going!). read more

DJ E.T. is awesome, no doubt about it. From the initial meetings, through the planning process, to the night day of the wedding, he was professional, very timely in his communication and overall just great to deal with. He accommodated our various requests and did so in a very positive and jovial way. We would HIGHLY recommend his services and would definitely use him in the future!!! read more

DJ E.T. is fantastic! We had the pleasure to have E.T. DJ and MC at our multiculrural wedding. He did a fantastic job mixing in the vary waried music styles we requested and had great feel for our crowd. Very highly recommended! read more

DJ E.T. made the party at a fundraiser we held at our non-profit theater organization and worked with us to create a fabulous playlist. He was then hired to play for a birthday bash where one of our friends bought out a local bar, and that was an epic and amazingly fun night on the dance floor! We highly recommend him!! read more

We cannot recommend E.T. highly enough. Do yourself a favor and book with him for your wedding or any party or event-he is the best! He was fabulous-from taking the time to tour our site months before our wedding, sitting down with us and planning out our day of event from MC'ing to DJ'ing. He spent the time to get to know exactly what we wanted, and guided us where we were not sure. He helped our wedding day be a worry-free fun filled day. Thank you E.T. for helping make our wedding a blast! read more

My now-husband and I are admittedly big music snobs, so we were nervous about hiring a DJ who didn't "fit" us. But E.T. was AWESOME. He has an amazing selection, is so sweet to work with, and an absolute pro. I'd recommend him to any and ALL of our music-loving friends! read more

We are event planners/coordinators who had the pleasure of working with DJ E.T. this weekend on a beautiful wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better partner in crime! DJ E.T. was polite, funny, professional, and (most importantly to us) following our combined timeline to ensure a seemless and flawless evening. Not only was he a DJ, but he was a great MC as well. We will not hesitate to recommend DJ E.T. to future clients! read more

I recently had a birthday dance party at Driftwood Bar in San Francisco. E.T. came in and MADE the party happen. I was specifically looking for old school hip hop music that you can dance to. He intuitively knew exactly what to play and how to gage the crowd. E.T. was professional and easy to work with. I will absolutely use him again and highly recommend you do too! read more

Absolutely brilliant - MC'ed and DJ'ed my wedding reception like an absolute pro. Thorough but not over bearing - I felt like he asked questions that were important but I hadn't thought of. Couldn't recommend more! read more

DJ E.T. really helped make our wedding spectacular. The dance floor was just what we wanted, with a great mix of songs all night long and amazing energy. But he was so much more than that - from the music at the reception, to MCing speeches, to getting people on the bus at the end of the night, everything went perfectly. What a great guy to have helping to run your wedding! read more

My wife and I had E.T. DJ our wedding reception and it was definitely the right decision. I think that whenever you pick a DJ you're worried that they might not share your music tastes or that they will have strong opinions about what the right thing to play will be. E.T. has an incredible skill to read the room and play the music that gets people moving. He listens to what it is that you want, is just generally incredibly helpful and is always easy-going and upbeat. Having a good DJ can make or break your party and I highly recommend E.T. He will get it done! read more

E.T. Just DJ'ed my retirement party and did an incredible job. He didn't just play tunes, but helped emcee and kept me on track with the events of the night. And he kept reminding folks to celebrate me! He has great instincts for the crowd and knew how to organize the music for the most fun. He is very easy going, professional, and reliable. My friends all commented later on how much they enjoyed having him as part of the party. I hope I get a chance to work with him again. Meredith, Oakland read more

DJ ET is an amazing DJ and emcee! Hiring the right DJ for my husband's 50th surprise party was by far the most important decision to me in planning this party. And, I made the best decision going with DJ ET! Not only is he very organized, professional, responsive etc. he also adds a ton of positive and fun energy to the event. I would HIGHLY recommend DJ ET and will for sure go back to him if I ever need a DJ again. Thank you for everything ET! You made the party a success! I really appreciate that you came to DJ and emcee even though you just entered parenthood. Thank you again because the party would not have been the same without you! read more

dj et do it right. he be up on the new hot tracks, then he drop one from back in the day and everybody like "ohhhhhhhhh!" i seen him spin a couple times now at his residency at ryans in san leandro. i feel like hes a real professional that knows what to play based on the vibe on the dance floor, and its always different. afterwards i talk with him and his wife, and they are hella good people. real positive. and he born in the east bay too. make em dance et!!!! read more

When people are sweating profusely but can't get off the floor because the DJ keeps playing hit after hit, you know you are in the presence of great talent. Too many times I have left the club much later than intended because 'my song' came on as I was leaving and I just had to dance to it. And then, it seemed like everything he played afterwards was 'my song' and then I just had to say forget it, that's why there's coffee, right? And when morning comes and I drag my foolish self out of bed, I remember the music and I have absolutely no regrets. In fact, I eagerly look forward to the next sleep-depriving night. read more

So as someone who found the wedding planning process to be the absolute worst, E.T. was a godsend. Hurry up and hire him, because you won't do better on the DJ front. I very nearly hired this guy who was like, "Yeah, just load up your must-play list onto Spotify and I'll show up and press play. That'll be $2000. You're welcome." But then I looked a little harder and, thankfully, I found E.T. He was professional, so easy to work with, and ultimately he SAVED my wedding. All of my relatives were dancing by the end of the night, even the awful ones that hate fun. Miraculous! Along with the awesome DJ skills, I think what makes E.T. so good is that he very clearly loves music. He'll seamlessly transition a top 40 favorite into a hip-hop classic into that indie song you've loved since high school. I swear your brain will melt from the joy and danciness. read more

DJ E.T. is terrific. We held a fundraising event at our non-profit and he provided great music and was very prepared. There were a lot of different entertainers and components of the event and he everything brought everything together. He was professional in the planning stages and on-site. We would certainly work with him again. read more

I could seriously go on for days about how much we loved having E.T. as the DJ for our wedding, what a great job he did, and the fact that a ton of our guests came up to us to tell us what a great job he did. Finding the right DJ for our wedding was super important to us, as music is a really big part of our relationship. We were finding it to be a pretty overwhelming task with all the options in the area, until a friend of ours (who is a friend of E.T.'s) recommended we contact DJ E.T. I am SO glad we did! From our very first meeting with E.T., we felt completely comfortable and at ease with him. He's incredibly friendly, professional, easygoing (the kind of person a stressed out bride needs on her vendor list!), and really genuine. We could tell that he truly was interested in learning about us as a couple, what kind of music we liked/didn't like, and what kind of vibe we were hoping to create for our wedding. On top of that, he's just a cool dude. We'd totally hang out with him outside of wedding planning. I'm a bit of a control freak, and getting the music just right was something that was SUPER important to me. Even my control freak intensity didn't shake E.T. We had two songs for the ceremony processional, and he faded and blended them seamlessly based on when the wedding party finished entering and when I started down the aisle. He even let us create some playlists for Pre-Ceremony, Cocktail hour and Dinner, which I truly appreciated and the control freak in me was giddy about this. Though, I know he would have done us justice had I given up control in these areas as well! During the reception, our dance floor was truly never empty. Granted, we both have families that love to dance, but people (myself included) kept saying how they literally could not leave the dance floor, because every new song just pulled them right back into the party. I had to tear myself away a few times to go eat dessert or get some water, but felt like I was missing out the whole time! E.T. read the room perfectly, and there was a mix of songs for every taste throughout the night. He knew when to slow it down, when to pick it up, and when to fade out a song that people were done with (in our case, the Hora!). He was also the perfect emcee for the night. He spoke up when announcements needed to be made, and chimed in at the appropriate times (asking our Anniversary Dance champs what the secret to a long marriage was, narrating the game we chose to replace glass-clinking, etc), but wasn't too in-your-face or cheesy. We didn't want a DJ that was constantly chattering away at our guests, and E.T. was the perfect amount of emcee for us. He is just genuine and fun and we and our guests could totally feel it and really enjoyed his presence. We had a couple cheesy nods to our love of baseball that we wanted to throw in throughout the night (a Grand Entrance where he had to call out the names of our wedding party like a baseball announcer, and a "7th Inning Stretch" late-night snack where he led us all in a chorus of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame) and he just took it, ran with it, and hit it out of the park (pun intended). He was so fun and engaging with these things that our guests just couldn't help but join in and be silly with us. He even brought glow sticks for the kiddos (which they LOVED)! Our guests were coming up to us all night and for days afterward, telling us how awesome our DJ was, and all we could do was agree! It was nothing but a pleasure working with E.T. I was never once stressed out about anything music-related, and he made our planning process with him super easy and super fun. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you, DJ E.T. You did an AMAZING job! read more

E.T. DJed my wedding and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Good music, sweet set up, good MCing. I've had E.T. DJ my birthday parties before, where my friends and family get down to old school hip hop, funky R&B, and fun top-40, but, for my wedding, he gave me a whole different professional treatment. We met and talked about the wedding timeline, music styles and requests for the dinner and for the dance party. He asked about other elements where we may need him -- cake, parent dances, first dance -- any transition we needed him for. As an MC, ET was willing to do as much or as little as my wife and I needed, even smoothly making announcements during dinner. He has a chill, positive demeanor and an ability to assess the vibe of the crowd and play to that. Weeks after our wedding, my wife and I were still getting compliments on the music and dance party. I'd highly recommend DJ E.T.. read more
