Long story short: Jeff is awesome, recommending him to other couples is an absolute honor and joy! It was so easy working through the entire planning process with him, but the best part, of course, was the liveliness and excitement that he brought to our wedding reception. The planning details: We met Jeff at the Tacoma Wedding Expo, and out of all the DJs there, he immediately stood out to us with his professionalism, and fun, welcoming personality, which is so important for a DJ/MC. Jeff followed up after the Tacoma Expo, but he wasn't pushy or nagging with his communications, unlike some other vendors we met there. He just reached out once, offering to chat further about our wedding entertainment options. A month or two later, we set up a coffee date, and Jeff was super accommodating regarding the location for our meeting. Once we talked through Jeff's approach to MC-ing the wedding, his music setup and play list approach, we were 100% sure that we wanted Jeff as our DJ. What sold us the most about Jeff was: 1. his super fun, outgoing, and bubbly personality, 2. the fact that he is mainly a wedding DJ, which made him a pro at addressing possible awkward/ stressful situations, schedule gaps, and catering to the needs of bride & groom. Jeff was very helpful in the planning process, he shared the day-off coordinators he enjoyed working with, and through his recommendations we found our day-off coordinator! He also agreed to have a second meeting a month before the with us, which isn't "required", but was important for us as a piece of mind. Lastly, Jeff was very accommodating to us timing wise, as we filled our "song" (first dance, father -daughter, processional, etc....) preferences at the very last minute, basically less than a week before the event. We also shared a list of songs we wanted played for dancing, cocktail hour, reception less than a week before the wedding, and Jeff had them all, and played them as we instructed. The Big Day: Obviously, for any couple, the most important thing is the vendor's performance during the wedding itself, and Jeff brought the party! Every single guest (we swear), our day-off, and our photographer had complimented our DJ to us after the party. Every single guest, of all age categories, was dancing. We didn't have anybody sitting on their phones during the open dance floor, which at this day and age is amazing! And I believe we owed it mostly to Jeff (and some to the signature cocktail ;) ). He actually led the limbo and the cupid shuffle Jeff was also very thoughtful. For example, when we were doing our portraits during the cocktail hour, Jeff brought us some appetizers. He also brought these light up rubber rings, which sound super silly, but our guests loved putting them on, goofing around, getting their bling on- it was a playful touch that broke the ice and helped people get into the party mode. My husband also did a review but I feel the need to as well. We have three children and we were very fortunate to have Jeff as our DJ. The first was experience with Jeff was for our daughter in August 2017 which I of course gave him 5 star review, guests and staff said it was the best wedding they have ever experienced. We wanted our son to use Jeff for his wedding but he was booked for that day. The DJ they had was just okay. When our youngest daughter was getting married she really wanted Jeff to DJ her wedding she was excited he was available for her date of April 10th. Because of covid she of course needed to reschedule for a later date but made sure she picked a date around his availability which was June 26th. Her wedding was at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium it was a beautiful setting but as far as the wedding coordinator, it made for a stressful wedding. Jeff really stepped up above and beyond what he was hired for, he acted as our wedding coordinator helping us in every way, as in instructing us in lining up for the ceremony (we had no rehearsal as promised) getting the bride and groom water and bringing it out side when they were getting pictures taken (record heat). He even went table to table asking if he could get drinks for our guests and even filled water glasses and so much more. He again made our daughters wedding wonderful. We hired Jeff to DJ our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. WHAT A HIT! From the start, Jeff was enthusiastic and professional. We requested a PARTY, and he delivered.
