I called and booked the Salt Lake Express, The pick up was at The Flying J , at 8:05 pm. He was visiting with a couple before the shuttle arrived, and they offered a ride to him, they were going to St. George also. He declined because I already bought him a ticket and the shuttle would be there in about 20 minutes. In the meantime an employee told him to double check with SLE, sometimes they forget to stop if they don't know they have a passenger pick up. He relayed this to me. I called and told the representative what he had been told and she put me on hold while she called the driver directly to make sure he would stop. I was told that that had been confirmed, he knew he had a pickup. She also explained how to use your website to track the bus. I was tracking the bus and so was my brother in law. For more than an hour, the tracker did not move, it was South of Nephi, and just sat there. My brother in law and I started calling SLE, but could not get anyone to answer. After a long amount of time, I just figured it was broke down. He finally called and said he was going to get a hotel for the night, not knowing what time the bus would be there. Right before I turned out the lights, probably about 10:13, I decided to look at the tracker again, and the shuttle was almost to Cedar City. What?????? I could see on the tracker he went by Beaver and the stop that was just North of it. I contacted the company the next day and asked for a refund and asked for him to be compensated for the motel room. They not only compensated him for the hotel, they refunded the bus ticket price and gave me a $50.00 credit with the company. This was very much appreciated and I commend them for addressing their problem. I did not give them a rating, the bus passing by would have been a #1, but the response from the company was a 5#.

I parked in the side lot and waited a few minutes until the shuttle arrived at the gas station. Believe it or not, I have to come to a bowling alley to catch a Greyhound bus in Idaho Falls. It's actually one of the main Urban centers in the whole state of Idaho so it's kind of cute that you have to go to a convenience store in Coeur d'Alene and the bowling alley here. Traveling all over the West Coast on Greyhound buses was a real eye-opener and I loved this town, the views and nature and mountains especially, and this was a cute interesting little version of a Greyhound station.

Normally PRT is great. They pick up our residents for work and doctors' appointments. But today…read morethey dropped the ball. I called a week in advance to schedule a bus to take our assisted living residents to the theater to actually go have some fun. Which happens very seldom for them. I was told by the PRT staff that I would need to call a day before the trip so they could schedule the bus. I then called the day before, like I was told, and I was then told that all trips have to be scheduled by 4pm. I had called them at 4:45pm. The PRT staff then told me that she would go ahead and make an exception this time. I rounded 15 of my residents up the next day to go to the theater. This is a very difficult task in itself. The bus never came. I called PRT and they said they had tried to call me earlier to tell me that they couldn't come with the last minute notice I had given them. I then got irritated and told him that I did call a week in advance, and I was told to call the day before to schedule the ride! Which I did. They did not tell me to call by 4pm. He did not care and showed no empathy. In general, every time I call to schedule a ride for a senior for a doctors appointment, I personally always get "a tone" that's not nice. I don't know if they find the seniors annoying or what but it's not good. Do better PRT. Please care about these poor seniors just trying to survive in this economy that we live in.
