Short Version - we hired Designing with Elements, at a premium, based on their reviews and our experience during the design phase. With 15% of the project left, they have been onsite once since March! From March until now, we have been promised over 30 start dates with all either resulting in a last minute cancellation, issues with equipment, but more commonly......a no show with no notice or communication. Moreover, we have been treated horribly throughout the process. We have a mostly completed yard with pipes and wires sticking out of the ground where a brand new outdoor kitchen should be. With a project that was scheduled to be completed in mid-April, we have been forced to cancel multiple planned events. And there is no end in sight! We have obtained a lawyer and started the process of litigation. At this point, we are just trying to get the money owed to us for the work not completed. We had grand plans for our new yard space. We invested a lot of time, money, and effort in it. Due to the delays and lack of communication from the team we were forced to cancel my younger daughter's communion party, older daughter's birthday party, and their soccer team's end of season party. All events we were excited to host in our new yard. I had also taken off multiple days from work to be here for the promised start dates just to have no one show up with zero notice. To say we are disappointed would be an understatement. The lack of professionalism, communication, and follow through is unbelievable. At this point, we have zero confidence in anything we are told by the Designing with Elements team. With no where else to turn, we have started the process of getting lawyers involved and demanding back the money owed to us for the work that was never completed. Believe it or not, the above is the shortened version of the story. I am happy to share more details with anyone interested to prevent this to happening to someone else.

Here we are, over 6 months later and the job was never completed. We have an outdoor refrigerator that was never hooked up to the electricity, therefore can not be used. Handles to the drawers were never installed or delivered. Communication was extremely poor. He was told on multiple occasions they were coming to finish the job and never followed through. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional and would not recommend this company to anyone.

Recently I needed a new pump for my pondless waterfall. It would have been easy for them to sell me a more expensive pump which also would have required a charge for a 2nd service call. Without me asking, they tested my system and determined a less expensive pump they had with them would work just as well for my needs. I've had the opposite experience (try to charge me as much as possible) with a competitor that shall remain nameless. Highly recommended.
