I really like this place! The staff and trainers are very welcoming and positive. It's affordable…read moreif you're on a moderate budget. It's available 24/7, including holidays. The restrooms are single occupancy for privacy. There are 2 single occupancy shower rooms available. The equipment is reasonably up to date and if it's not fully functional they fix it in a reasonable amount of time. Every member gets 2 free sessions with a personal trainer. I only took advantage of one because as it turns out I don't enjoy talking while I work out and am quite self motivated, but I appreciated the trainer's friendliness and constructive attitude towards making a workout plan. I do only have a few criticisms and that's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. There are a couple of things that could be improved. I go early in the morning and I find that they're usually either almost out or completely out of little towels you can use to wipe sweat. The restrooms are not always very clean in the morning. At least a couple of times per week they're out of equipment wipes and paper towels in the early a.m. For a small, nominal fee, I'd be ecstatic if they were to provide bigger towels for those who use the showers and don't want to lug a big towel with them that they have to take to their office (or class for the students) and discretely hang-dry (or let fester in their bag all day). Since I commute to work via bus I don't have a lot of options but don't want to be a jerk and use 4 tiny towels to dry off, especially as they're often out anyway. Making sure there are enough supplies like equipment wipes and small towels to last until the morning, and maybe having someone pop in during the evening to quickly touch up the restrooms might be nice too. It being a college town I know they probably have a surge of people in the evenings who prefer to work out at night, which is why they are out of supplies in the morning. Those are my only gripes - everything else is on-point and I don't expect any place to be absolutely perfect.

No mention during signup of mandatory in-person visit to activate app key. When they finally replied, refused to cancel remotely and claimed I'm locked into a 12-month contract I never saw or agreed to. Member Solutions email bounced "mailbox full." Total bait-and-switch. Still fighting for refund. Deceptive and unreachable. Stay away.

Adam & his entire staff are dedicated to ensuring that you achieve your goals. The first thing you…read morenotice when you walk in is how this place looks like no other gym you have ever seen! They don't have lots of fancy machines, they don't have any mirrors - what they do have is a system that works. I lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks, my daughter lost 15 pounds and my wife lost 20 as well! The results are not just about weight - they are about changing the way you look at almost everything! My cardio and my attitude and my energy level have increased dramatically thanks to NGPT! You also need to know that every team member was also a customer first! Trish is one of the most inspirational coaches I have ever met - and she lost over 180 pounds doing the program. ' Their board of people who have lost 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, etc pounds is amazing and TRUE! If you are ready to make a real change in your life, NGPT is the place to begin the journey!

I know several people have come here and lost some serious weight.... it isn't surprising given how…read moresupportive NGPT is. I began taking classes here to get off campus and get some exercise in (graduate school hasn't been so kind to my previous active lifestyle). After coming here I ended up finding community outside of graduate school that was health conscious and motivated. I lost a few pounds, and gained some serious strength. I'm not going to lie; getting motivated to hit the gym at the end of a stressful day is hard, but knowing that I've got a supportive crew waiting for me at the gym certainly helps. BONUSES: 1) Online scheduling: Helps keep class sizes under check and ensures that I hit the gym when I say I will. 2) Cool people: I was afraid I'd run into the classic 'jock' types but this is far from the case. The people who come here are personable and fun to be around. 3) Inspiration: So many people have lost weight and have managed to keep it off. If they can do it; I can keep a healthy lifestyle too! 4) TRX: Seriously the coolest workout thing ever. 5) Functional training: Since working out here I've noticed my day-to-day activity/energy has improved immensely; something I haven't been able to recreate from traditional gym workouts. DOWNSIDES: 1) Music: I get tired of listening to the same music at EVERY workout. In class you are guaranteed to be listening to repeat playlists of either classic rock, funk, random 80's beats, or uber hyped up pop music. It is tolerable the first 10 classes... then it gets old. Perhaps they could sync Spotify/Grooveshark/Pandora or something to vary it up a bit. 2) Equipment: The mats used for classes are old and beat up, but this isn't such a big deal if you bring your own. 3) Wish there were more late night classes (lately they've been getting better about changing the schedule up and adding in new ones) If you are looking to become more active, shed a few pounds, find some cool friends, or need an outlet to stay sane this place is the jam!

I can not say enough about Nancy Kalina and her skills. I "won" time with her when I attended a…read moreconference that my job sent me to in Bloomington, IN. I met Nancy at this conference; she was speaking. It was a normal conference. Things said that we needed to know for the job but nothing that made me stay TOO awake until Nancy's turn. What she said touched me, made sense to me and kept me so interested and when my name was drawn I was ecstatic! I was a pretty troubled person when I met Nancy. Since I didn't live in Bloomington nor did I live near, we talked via the phone (before Zoom was 'a thing') and I took notes. WOW did I take notes! I used the items she passed out in her talk along with the information/tools she gave me during our talk. I still, to this day, use the tools and information she taught me and I have to admit, I am the healthiest I have been in probably 15-20 years. The changes I have been able to make, with her help and guidance, have allowed me some amazing changes... mentally, emotionally, AND physically. One of the best things about her is that doesn't just drop you once you are no longer in sessions. We keep in touch. I get her newsletter (HELPFUL and insightful!) and she checks in every now and then. SHE CARES.. truly cares. THANK YOU NANCY!!! For everything!!! I AM HAPPY AND I LOVE MYSELF!!! TO SAY THAT IS BEYOND WHAT I EVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY!!!

She both sees and appreciates me for I am and for what I can grow into. Her coaching is different from therapy in that, while discussing the past is not out of bounds, she focuses on forward motion, trying out new thoughts (which can lead to new behaviors), and building on strengths. She gave me thought-provoking exercises to work on both during and between sessions. She left me with insights and inspiration that I carried around with me for years after our first round of coaching together. I have left our sessions invigorated and inspired to try new things. That is why I reached out to her again when I came to another fork in the road moment in my life, and why I will think of her again in the future when I want the kind of insight and help looking at things in my life from alternate perspectives that she has to offer.
