Always helpful. The new location is large and full of beautiful things. They carry a wide array of supplies for all spiritual paths and needs. They sell handmade and homemade items of quality. They offer lots of services like tarot, spiritual guidance, spellwork, henna tattooing and more. The prices aren't crazy high as sometimes happens with specialty shops and they have always been super helpful when I have a question. They also are so welcoming when I bring my dog in with me. I am deeply saddened to write this review. I am equally hurt and shocked by my experience today. While living in Calgary my mom and I shopped at The Divine Mine many times and we loved it. The store was beautiful, full of interesting things, and the staff was awesome. I have such precious memories of those times that today is particularly upsetting, especially as I am losing my mom to Alzheimer's. Since we moved we of course cannot shop in person at The Divine Mine. When I learned a few years ago that I could make online purchases at The Divine Mine I began doing so as I was able. Recently I placed two rather large online orders. The first had a few broken crystals. I figured it was due to the cold as the package was freezing when I received it. I wasn't sure though so I asked The Divine Mine about it as I wanted to understand. Being Autistic I ask a lot of questions, about everything, all the time. It is not meant to be offensive. I am simply trying to understand. The Divine Mine was really nice, as they always were every other time I shopped with them in person or online. They answered my questions, and even refunded me for the broken crystals which I thought was especially nice as it was not their fault they were broken. Most recently I received an order with a missing item. It was especially disappointing because it was for my birthday - a strawberry quartz bracelet. I had purchased one before and loved it so much I ordered two more so I could wear three on my birthday. Unfortunately I only received one bracelet. Everything was so beautifully and thoughtfully packaged I was sure I must have missed it somehow in the box so I searched repeatedly. I could not find the bracelet I had ordered and paid for. So I emailed The Divine Mine about it, and with a couple of questions I had, because yes I always have questions especially when buying a crystal or item that is new to me. This morning I received an email from The Divine Mine that said this: "At this point, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with you moving forward. We have always prided ourselves on providing excellent service and products, but we feel that the repeated follow-ups and feedback you have provided suggest that our products may not meet your expectations. It appears that you may prefer to see the crystals in person before making a purchase, and unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate that request at this time. We truly appreciate your business, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors. This is NOT excellent customer service in my opinion. While The Divine Mine is refunding me for the missing bracelet that doesn't get me the bracelet I ordered for my birthday, and banning me from their store for asking questions, and for issues beyond my control, is astoundingly poor service in my opinion. After the order with the broken crystals I asked two questions in addition to reporting the breakage. I also thanked them and assured them that I believed they would not send me anything broken on purpose and that it was due to shipping. With this last order I reported the missing bracelet and asked if was out of stock when it was packed or would it be shipped later, etc. I also asked how to get a sticky substance off a travel altar that I ordered and I asked about the rough edges on the Selenite plate I received as the last one I received was smooth I wanted to know if Selenite always varies. For this I am treated as a bad customer and told they do not want to do business with me? I cannot help but feel I am being blamed for the missing bracelet and broken crystals as how could anyone ban a customer for asking questions? Neither the breakage nor the missing bracelet is my fault however. As this is SO shocking and upsetting to me I do NOT want this to happen to anyone else so I am sharing this in a review to warn people. If you shop online with The Divine Mine and want to continue to do so you are probably wise NOT to report issues with your order, and NEVER to ask questions. My favourite thing about this store is the staff. They have been lovely every time. Last week a staff member patiently waited for my young daughter to choose a ring. She took forever, but he was so good to her, giving suggestions and waiting without getting impatient. The store is so unique. I have found things there that I could not find anywhere else. Maybe it's the incense. Maybe it's because of all the healing crystals in the room. Or maybe it's because of the soothing colours and yummy tea. Regardless, if you're into crystals, astrology, numerology, meditation, massage, reiki, angels and the like - you'll find that the vibes in this store are tranquil, peaceful and funky. The Divine Mine has a great selection of oracle cards, from Doreen Virtue's angel cards to fairy cards. Lots of gifts and books on various aspects of spirituality and the occult. They also offer a variety of classes and workshops, such as Reiki Level 1, Astrology Basics, Ego Management Workshop and monthly meditations. Their selection of healing crystals is pretty respectable for a store their size. They don't have all the crystals as the local lapidaries do, but having been to two lapidaries, I can tell you that the Divine Mine has a more comfortable environment. The staff is generally warm and very helpful, especially when shopping for presents. Their website is extremely informative too. They even have healing crystals for pets! Maestro lost his carnelian (for health) a long time ago. However, his jade pendant (for longevity) has been holding steady since we bought in in the spring. Pundits would say that he was meant to have the jade all along. The quality of their products is excellent. I've gotten numerous compliments on the quality and beauty of the crystals I've gotten myself or as gifts, the jewelry and the jewelry cages for my stones. Parking is a little tight around the store, which is the main reason for the -1 star. Prices vary from reasonable to "man, I could get this cheaper elsewhere". Mind you, by the time you're done driving all over the city to find that cheaper deal, you might as well just buy it at Divine Mine. read more

I just feel right at home in this shop! I'll walk in just to smell the incense and end up walking out with a glorious haul of pretty stones. The crystals are beautiful, unique, and of great quality. I often gravitate towards the crystals, but their cards, jewelry, clothing, incense, and home decor is just as lovely. The Divine Mine is one of my favorite little shops to buy gifts for the hard-to-buy-for women in my life. Many of my girlfriends believe in the power of intention, and have a spiritual side, whether it comes from a belief in a higher power, or they dabble in the fun of horoscopes, feng shui, numerology or having their tarot cards read with the girls. You can get items from everywhere to a few dollars to a few hundred dollars, so this store definately covers all price ranges. I was in there this weekend for the first time in a few months, looking for stocking stuffers for my two best friends. This is a nice little store if your looking for new age stuff. They have an assortment of books, statues, home decor, etc. They pretty much have the same selection you would see in any other new age store. Actually they reminded me alot of Acendant Books in Edmonton. The one thing I did like was the wall hangings-they are large and well priced even though they are for hindus. The only problem I have with this store is its incredibly small and cramped and the selection is rather limited. There is next to no room to move around at times! I have met the owner of the store and she seems quite nice. She did a special order for somthing I wanted which impressed me. I will come again. read more

Nice selection of new age products including crystals, tarot, incense, books, jewellery, trinkets and knick knacks. I really enjoyed my visit and found the atmosphere calming and relaxing. I purchased quite a few things on my first visit, including lovely locally made incense, a beautiful goddess statue and some nice crystals. Definitely worth a visit, for anyone who is interested in new age or pagan wares. Also they have a great website with lots more products listed that aren't on show in their store, which is how I found my statue, I just called and they had it ready for me when I arrived! read more

Love this place, Positives The staff are pleasant and helpful, the selection in the store is plenty and the atmosphere is inviting. I like the opportunities to participate in workshops, there are plenty to choose from! Negatives I did have a crystal bowl healing session there and was not happy with my experience. The walls are thin and i could hear every conversation, snicker, giggle, laugh or sneeze. I found it difficult to relax and focus on my session. I will continue to be a costumer here but i would not pay for any session that requires you to quiet your mind read more
