After having a horrific experience elsewhere, this place seemed to be the bees knees…read more Gabby was my regular technician. My first visit there was an assistant in the room. She recorded a video of my removal, with out my permission on her personal cell phone. I didn't notice until after because my face was down. I don't know where this video went but I told them they did not have permission to share it. I asked them to send it to me, they never did. A few treatments in, I had the assistant as a technician for a treatment. I was unhappy with the procedure and results. I expressed my concerns and to my surprise my technician defended the assistant. Though disappointed with them, I returned a few more times after this as I had built trust with Gabby as my regular technician. My results were less and less with a longer recovery and it was starting to add up financially. My final treatment here was not pretty, my skin looked like it was going to scar as it had bubbled up horrendously. It took extra time to heal and had a soft pink shine to the area for weeks once the blisters subsided. I decided it was time to cut the bond with Gabby and try somewhere new. After receiving treatments else where, I am able to give my honest review: They took a video with out my permission on a personal cell phone and I don't know where it went. They mean well but their sisterhood took over from their professionalism with client concerns. They communicate well and go the extra mile with aftercare. The clinic is nice but it's in an actual clinic so you need to book directly with the technicians. The communication between the reception and technicians is fairly poor. I had a cancellation and got an angry/upset call from Gabby. She drilled me hard about when I called to cancel and who I talked to, I felt it was inappropriately handled. They said " maybe one more treatment" twice. Once I tried somewhere new, I had no blisters and great results where I had seemingly plateaued with Skin Care Laser Centre. Overall I have had both worse and better experiences.

Massage therapist NOT an RMT and not accredited by insurance - be prepared to pay out of pocket…read more When booking a massage, I specifically asked if the massage therapist was an RMT so my insurance would cover it. I was told yes. When I submitted the claim, it was rejected - according to Green Shield, she is NOT a registered massage therapist. I contacted Dr for Moms and they already knew this, and offered no apology or recompense. I asked for some form of compensation for the loss, and they have not responded. The massage itself was not great - she didn't seem very knowledgeable about my pregnancy-related condition, no ambiance (music, etc.), and afterwards I felt worse. Go somewhere else!

What a great ambience in the new space (they moved from the Providence building in Varsity in April…read more2016)! Doctors Patti Hort and Shaunessy Keita are the gentlest chiropractors that I know and they can accommodate you if you have an emergency (I injured my lower back two weeks ago and I was able to see Dr. Keita the next day). The reception desk often gets swamped by patients waiting to pay/make appointments, so trying to get a hold of them by phone can be a challenge. However, the receptionists are very efficient and will return your call as soon as possible.

Unfortunately this place turned out to be a major disappointment and I cannot stress enough to…read moreother would-be customers to steer clear of here. 1) record keeping You would think any kind of healthcare facility, be it a physicians office or a massage therapy place, would have a professional obligation to maintain accurate records of what is done at each appointment. That is not the case here. They have noted that I had multiple physio appointments but no notes or record of what exercises or plan they had done. Essentially, at each follow-up it was like a whole new visit with many "what did we recommend last time?" Pathetic. 2) customer service Imagine trying to get a progress note sent to your physician. It's like pulling teeth. They promise that they will get it done promptly, many weeks later you're still waiting and after calling to inquire you're met by an abrasive and dismissive admin assistant who says no note to that effect was on the chart (see point 1). Incompetence runs very high in this place. 3) questionable billing Check your credit card statement. I have a few charges above and beyond what was agreed that "magically appeared" on my statement...these are currently in the process of being investigated by my credit card company and hopefully a chargeback will ensue. Bottom line is, there are far better and more ethical places to find in the city for physio and other allied health professionals. I, unfortunately, looked for the cheapest place and essentially got what I paid for -- a shit experience. Stay away.
