The person who was supposed to do our piercing had a stick up their butt. We called three times to make sure we could come in on the same day. Called to let them know we would be late because there was so much traffic and construction. We drove an hour and a half away. Anyway, we called the last time to let them know how far we were. They said to come on in, we asked if we should leave our name and number, they said no it was fine they were expecting us. Okay, so we walked in, we waited, and the piercer told us they would not do the appointment. Okay cool they were closing in 30 minutes. I can understand not wanting to do that anymore but why didn't they call us back and tell us they can't anymore? Everyone's time is valuable so I understand. I offered more money just in case we could. They got upset and had an attitude that I even asked. As if I personally offended them. They made it my problem that they wanted to close early. No means no, I respect that. So why were they speaking rudely. Of course that was annoying. So I asked if there was a place they recommended and I was asking more questions and they talked over me. I was taken aback by this behavior. I only wanted to try and ask. It was my sister's birthday and she wanted something special. The way they were speaking made her cry but she was very kind. Anyways I said for future reference it would be nice for proper communication and a heads-up. I don't know much about business etiquette but I do know that it wasn't nice for them to act the way they did. I in no way feel entitled to anyone's services but a little southern hospitality goes a long way. Anyways I figured I would leave my one and only review for this place. I recently had my conch pierced. I noticed after about two weeks, that the back of the earring was almost being pushed into my ear which is also extremely painful. Make NO MISTAKE, this was not my fault. this is due to not having the proper piece of jewelry put in my ear to avoid this type of situation from happening. So, when I came in to let S&S know about my ear, (I also was not greeted when coming in, per the norm) Alex immediately proceeded to blame me and asked me if I have been properly cleaning it. No apology, nothing but crudeness and rudeness And not taking responsibility for their mess up!! Regardless, if I had been cleaning the ear properly or not, it does not negate from the fact that the wrong type of jewelry back was put into my ear, which led to this inflammation and also led to them having to replace the back of my earring. Alex made it out to be like this was my fault and my doing instead of taking responsibility and apologizing to me like she should've done. Honestly, though, I should've expected that type of behavior from her, given her past behavior towards me. And when I saw another review on Google that someone left that had their conch pierced, and went through the same exact thing that I went through, is a big to me that this happens often with this business. All of the staff here have been super kind aside from Alex. From day one, which was over two years ago when I started coming to S&S, I've always thought she's had an attitude; immediately judging you as soon as you walk in the doors.....that's the type of "welcome wagon" she greets you with. I Have never, not once, heard her ask me when I come in "how are you today?" Or "hey, what would you like to get done today?" Regardless of how busy they have been or not, there's a thing called courtesy and respect. Something she clearly doesn't want to give anyone but herself. I just cannot get over how much she treated that entire situation like it was my Fault that my earring was being pushed into the back of my skin the way it was. That's a big nope. ‍ Her attitude is a poor reflection of her character Which also reflects against this business.
