I made an appointment at high caliber and couldn't have been more happy with the results. All of the people there are very nice and really chill but still professional. Mike did an AMAZING job on my first tattoo. I sent him pics via email of ideas I was wanting to go for and he customized a tattoo based on my favorite things. I got my tattoo a couple years ago. My skin didn't heal well and they did a free touch up. Everyone is very professional, and it's extremely clean here. I was very impressed. The shop itself is pretty cool, enjoyed the art while I waited. Overall impressed, and still loving my tat. Edit: Something I forgot to mention, when I was coming back to get my tattoo touched up, there was an intoxicated man trying to get a tattoo. The man that did my tat stood firm that he would NOT give him a tattoo until he was sober. The artists here are great people. read more

Extremely talented staff! Small shop but they stay busy for good reason. Katie is amazing and knows her stuff. The place is probably the cleanest I have ever had the pleasure to be tattooed in. Definetly worth a visit and is centered in a strip with a coffee shop, a nail place and a sandwhich shop with an attached local beer bar. Be sure to make an appointment, go early and grab a snack before your appointment in the neighboring businesses. My first visit here was pleasant. I went back again to change jewelry for a piercing. I had the same person both times. I had said I thought the bar would not be large enough to fit comfortably on my still healing piercing so he sized up but I still thought it would be to small. I voiced this to him and he said it would be fine I just had some swelling. But I was pretty sure the swelling wouldn't go done. Spoiler Alert. It didn't. So the steel bar is pinching my healing piercing, and widening the hole bec the little balls are cutting in at the edges. I am ordering a longer bar to replace at home. I would have given a much higher rating if the piercer had listened to me when I tried to explain about how I thought my own body would react. read more

High Caliber Tattoos was pretty awesome. My friend and I had been wanting to get helix piercings for a long time and finally found a place in our area that had decent hours. I called ahead of time and was greeted by a nice lady who answered some of my questions about their piercing procedures and encouraged me to stop by any time -- no appointments needed. We arrived later that night to a place full of people, but were greeted by the piercer almost immediately. She had us fill out an agreement form and then led us to a private room. The lady was very kind and took great care in making sure she had marked the exact area I where wanted my piercing. The whole procedure was very sterile and fast with surprisingly minimal amounts of pain (They use piercing needles, not guns. I think the needles decrease the amount of pain). My only two complaints are 1) The options of what we could put in our ears were very limited. We got the choice of either a 14 Guage or 16 Guage ring. And 2) We received no printed information or ear cleaning solutions (I don't think the shop sold any solutions). We DID bomb her with questions though, and she gave us all the answers we needed. So I guess this is only half a complaint. Printed information and cleaning solution would have been the cherry on top of a wonderful piercing experience. Also, if anyone is curious, helix piercings are $40 for a single, and $70 for a double. Definitely a great place and I highly recommend it. read more

I had a 10:00 appointment and got there 10 minutes before ten. Katie came in 5 minutes later. I sat in the waiting room with my daughter without really knowing when Katie would ask me to come into her booth and not having a lot to say to me. At 10:20 she came out and said she was going to print my artwork in the back...she did not return at 10:30 and not knowing how long I would have to sit there, I left. I paid a deposit to her the week before in order for her to complete the drawings and be compensated. My feeling as I waited 10 minutes for a piece of artwork to be 'printed' was that she was actually drawing the artwork and was not ready for my 10:00 appointment. I am an older Caucasian man who was getting his first tattoo of his daughter's name and I have come to expect people to do what they say they are going to do and when they say they will do it. I lost my deposit because I didn't feel like she was sincere simply because I was an older guy. Still living, still learning. read more
