My mother underwent a knee replacement and required long-term assistance after returning home…read more Kaiser referred her to Care Partners for in-home care during her recovery. Over the course of several weeks, I worked closely with Lina while arranging the additional support my mother needed following her surgery, which had been significantly delayed due to the Kaiser strike. Throughout the process, Lina was professional, compassionate, kind, and extremely helpful. There were several frustrating moments related to scheduling issues, many of which I expressed to Kaiser. Lina was always honest and transparent, explaining that all of their Spanish-speaking caregivers were currently assigned to other clients. Even so, she consistently took the time to listen to my concerns, answer questions, and help explore possible solutions. Lina maintained regular communication to ensure my mother received the specific care she needed when she needed it. While there were some scheduling challenges along the way, Lina remained proactive, attentive, and supportive, helping us navigate each obstacle. She also worked closely with her scheduling team to make sure my mother's care needs were met. I am grateful for Lina's dedication and commitment throughout this process. Thank you, Lina, and thank you to Care Partners for the care and support provided to my mother during her recovery. Enrique M.

My experience with this agency has been extremely disappointing. They have a consistent pattern of…read morenot returning phone calls. Even when the receptionist says someone will return your call, it often never happens. Communication is one of the most important parts of providing care, and this agency has repeatedly failed in that area. Most recently on 08/2026 a caregiver she was scheduled to provide care for my elderly mom but did not show up, and the office did not bother to notify me that she would not be coming. I was left waiting without any communication or explanation. * I contacted the agency and left a message for Val to call me who I was told was a supervisor, asking to return my call to discuss what happened. Unfortunately I never received a response. What makes this even more concerning is that they serve elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and families who are already under tremendous stress and relying on these services for support. They present themselves as compassionate and caring, but that has not been my experience. If you are seeking respite services through this agency, be prepared for poor communication, more stress, more disappointment and difficulty getting the assistance you need.

In conducting significant research into home health care agencies in the Irvine/Tustin area, I soon noticed Agape had multiple positive reviews. After giving Agape a call, Eva quickly responded back and she and Ed made themselves available to meet with me and my family. From the get go, they have been professional, responsive, and have worked with our schedule in order to provide quality care for my father. Furthermore, Llene has been such a blessing in our lives and has treated my father like her own father and we couldn't be more pleased. I was in panic and felt like losing my mind. Fortunately through the social worker, I connected with Rina. Thankfully, that was one of the best moves I made in my life. Things were slowly getting together with Rina and Jorge Zelaya's help through this difficult time. Rina didn't make me feel like just another client; she treated me like I was part of her own family. I was grossly disappointed with Care Choices' Hospice service. To start with, their contract and…read moremarketing materials are materially misleading, and internally inconsistent, in terms of the care that they actually provided. Their representative rushed me through the sign-up process without any clear explanation of the services that they were going to provide. Specifically, their communication to the parties involved (Assisted Living, the attending physician, and me) was vague, ambiguous, inconsistent, and confusing at a time when job descriptions should be crystal clear. It is Care Choices' responsibility to coordinate care and especially to make sure that "their" patient is being properly attended to. Hospice services are not just to provide a hospital-style bed and a wheelchair. As a direct result of Care Choices' lack of clarity, the Hospice service was waiting for the attending physician to treat, the attending physician was waiting for Hospice to treat, and the family was waiting for the patient to receive necessary care on a prompt basis. As it was, the patient's care was overly delayed, which caused the patient medical distress and the family members completely unnecessary emotional distress.

They provided supervision to be sure she did not fall while using crutches, assisted in activities of daily living (dressing, menu planning and preparation of meals, toileting, transporting, accompanying her to a few physical therapy and medical appointments and providing some recreational opportunities). Approximately 11 ladies provided service in 4 to 6 hour shifts on a 24 hour basis. All of these ladies were kind, patient and pleasant. They were all reliable. All of these ladies came on time and could be depended upon to stay until the next person arrived. Connie and Fran, administrators, were flexible in their expectations of activities which would be performed by these ladies while working. The ladies were allowed to determine priorities and to be flexible about activities to be completed while they were working. The activities included light housekeeping, dog walking, cooking, meal planning, grocery shopping, cleaning the kitchen and other rooms, and doing laundry. I would not hesitate to use the services of Seniors Helping Seniors any time in the future for post surgery care and general services to older citizens.

Very disappointed with Mission Home Health's communication and delay in care…read more I was discharged from UCI on Friday, September 18 after a first rib resection, anterior/middle scalenectomy and brachial plexus neurolysis. My discharge paperwork specifically ordered an initial home-health evaluation within 48 hours. Mission called Friday at 1:31 PM. I missed the call but returned it at 2:34 PM--only 63 minutes later. No one returned my call Friday, Saturday or Sunday, and no home-health evaluation occurred within the ordered 48-hour timeframe. They finally called Monday at 11:38 AM, but only to verify my information. I was then told someone else would call me to set up the visits. So, more than three days after discharge, I still didn't even have my first visit scheduled. Those first couple of days were when I actually needed the help. I was newly postoperative, in significant pain, and needed assistance with basic things like showering and dressing. Instead, my husband and I had to figure out my postoperative care ourselves. I understand missing a call can cause a slight delay, but I returned it just over an hour later. I don't understand receiving no follow-up for the entire weekend when the hospital specifically ordered an evaluation within 48 hours. I can't review the quality of their nurses or therapists because I still haven't received a visit. I can only review their communication and start-of-care process, and my experience so far has been extremely disappointing. Home health after major surgery is most valuable when you first get home--not days later after you've already had to figure everything out yourself.

The other occupational therapists that I have worked with have never been able to truly understand my son's needs which is why I went searching for a therapist that specializes in sensory processing disorder and how I found Anahita. From the very first phone call with her, I knew that she was going to be amazing and a godsent! She is a wonderful listener and listened to me for over an hour telling her every detail about my son and all of the concerns I have. She understood everything I was saying and knew exactly what I was talking about and how to help, unlike anyone else I have talked to. She did an extensive evaluation which I thought was very thorough and accurate and we began right away with sessions. Anahita was so amazing with my son and he loves her so much. He felt very comfortable with her right from the start and she has helped him tremendously. She has been the only one that has been able to help and I can't recommend her highly enough. I am so thankful for all of her guidance and help. As a parent, you know and love your child so very much and just want everyone to understand and appreciate them the way they deserve and Anahita did that-- she understood and loved my child for who he is, genuinely, and cared about helping him reach his full potential and helping him cope with the things that can be so difficult for him. Not only has she helped my son but she has helped me-- with talks of encouragement and advice and also valuable help with dealing with the school district during the IEP process all on her own time (she even took time to talk to the OT at the school district to try to help her understand my son better and help fight for the services he needs). She also has so many different resources and cool equipment to try out and see what would help each child the most and would let us take home different things to try out which was really helpful. Anahita is a true treasure and the best person to have on your side to help advocate and get the best help possible for your child. Please go and see her if you want the very best for your child! You won't be disappointed.
