Restoration Services of Michigan, located in Bellaire, came to my rescue very quickly after the…read moreheavy rains we had just before the 4th of July weekend. I ended up with water in my basement, & was amazed at how fast they were able to get to my home, assess the situation & come back the next day with the equipment needed to remove the water & clean up. Bill & his trusty assistant were friendly, & easy to work with. This was the first time I had to deal with a situation like this, & they immediately put my mind at ease. They're a family owned & run business, so their service is great. I highly recommend them!!

Unknown to me or my siblings our mother (aged 88) hired Nick Forquer of Pro Carpet to install…read morecarpet in her living room, and hallway last August. He started the job and then stood her up three different times, each time apologizing and then not show up, again. Our mother called us in a panic because she knew she had made the wrong decision by first not involving us, and second buying from someone unknown. When my sister tried calling Nick Forquer he would not call her back, but instead finally showed up to install our mother's carpet. My Forquer also refused to tell my sister what make the carpet was, that made us suspicious as to where he got the carpet and the fact our mother said the pad he used was in two different colors underlayment cushion. In closing, Forguer did complete the job, one month late; with a huge amount of stress and frustration, and with unknown carpeting. Our elderly mother said, "he smelled strongly of alcohol." when he did arrive.

Then I told her that the bigger two washers were not spinning between cycles and not really agitating either and she walked away from from me saying the owner was around. So I called the owner and this guy showed up. Not the owner, posing as the"owner " I told him and he said of course there is less time they're smaller washers. Apparently he couldn't comprehend that I was talking about two identical washers. Then he accused me of overloading the washers that weren't spinning. I have worked in a commercial laundry twice. I Know that it is impossible to fill up a washer so much that it doesn't spin between cycles or agitate. Then he told me that it is my fault if my clothes weren't clean. This is after the $1 increase per washer load, no matter what size washer! By the way the dryer time and temps have been adjusted too. I made the comment that the washers are 30 years old and he said how would you know were you here 30 years ago and I said yes. My advice pray the mancelona laundry opens up sooner than later!

They were hired to do flooring and bath ceramic installations post flood. Sent 2 men. Both were…read morepros - skilled, courteous, efficient and personable. Months later we purchased more flooring to be installed a couple weeks later due to continuing other remodeling. . The salesman was miffed that we insisted on paying for the install later. We disputed their measurements for removal, install and material. They insisted that their "professional measurements" were correct - ours were not. We noted that a competitor's measurements coincided with ours - an architect and contractor. We were rightfully insulted by their rude comments. They were unaware that we were not paying for this work. The tenant was going to pay so accuracy was important to protect the tenant's limited resources. With reservations, and with assurance that the previous installers would do this install we proceeded. They sent the B team which were NOT the A team. As we anticipated there was extra flooring that was not required. As it was paid for, we took it since it had not been brought into the work space. They were very upset. We had inventoried the flooring delivered , did the math, to be sure it had been paid for. The owner Ron, sent a very rude letter REFUSING TO FINISH the work. The transitions sent but not installed were incorrect. They failed to clean up. Generally, they were UNETHICAL, RUDE, AND FAILED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. Poorly managed - don't take a chance.
