10/10 experience . Today was my first class here and it's been fantastic. I usually come to the Lincoln park neighborhood for chiropractor and I've been wanting to try diva dance for a long time . Was hesitant because I don't live super close and not sure what package to get. They have. A Xmas in July deal where it's 50% off the regular 2 week trial membership so of course I signed up for it. I def worked up a sweat after the classes. The instructor is sooo skilled ( Ellie) and had great energy !! I am not a very coordinated person when it comes to dancing but nevertheless tried my hardest.. the music they play def helps you keep motivated! read more

It's a great space to met new people, I just wish they can explain less the dance moves and just dance lol. I get it that they are teaching us how to dance, but kinda wanted like Zumba where you just dance and have more energetic music too. There's a great time of the class we are just learning the whole dance moves. I just want to dance more and listen to more energetic music. read more

If you want to feel empowered and have a good workout, diva dance is for you! It's such an amazing community to feel not judged or a need to be perfect. Each teacher is phenomenal and they have a great layout in how they build up teaching the choreo. It may feel intimidating at first, but the more classes you attend, the more you get used to the format and your retention gets better. My favorite part about the studio is that EVERYONE is so sweet!!! The instructors, the people attending the class, the person greeting you at the desk. Without fail you will leave class feeling like you made a friend. Enjoy Diva Dance. Started with intro pack which is 3 classes for $49. Intro pack is only valid for 45 days which is doable. What I like about the studio is that you know what song you will be learning. Parking is super easy. They have free street parking. Studio itself is a very nice size. There is a lounge area, bathroom area, changing room and then dance room. Floors are really good for dancing. Lighting and windows are adorable too. Format of class is community interaction (short 4 min), warmup, learn choreography, tape choreography (optional), cool down. All in all takes about an hour. They do have short breaks during choreo round. Everyone is enjoyable and no one is there to take themselves too seriously. Really good community, lots of variety of teachers so definitely recommend one that you vibe with dance and teaching wise. I really liked all my classes but would definitely buy a class pack to drop-in on Mahogany and Meisha. The owner Molly is welcoming and high energy. Check this place out. read more

Here for a pride event and it was so fun! Studio is medium sized, but clean (and that exposed brick, I can't - so good). Staff were fun and cute; Molly is a dream! Super informative with their schedule and class style offerings. Main demographic seems to be...well, not children. It didn't seem to be a tutu, ribboned tap shoe, or rolly polly toddler in site! The event was well organized, very welcoming to all levels and quick! Not sure if I would sign up for a class package; the studio is a little far from my neighborhood, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back again for an event based class! read more

DivaDance has been my saving grace! It's a community where everyone is welcome, you get a great workout, and have fun all in an hour! The dance instructors are so uplifting and there's ZERO judgment - just FUN! And let me tell you - I HATE THE GYM. When I'm done, I'm sweating, but SMILING! I get to sing and dance and I feel confident. The next day, whoa - my whole body (from my arms, to core, to legs, and even arms!) feel it... in a good way! My friends and I planned a day in Chicago for a bachelorette party, and planning a sassy, sweaty dance session in the middle of the day was a great way to have some unexpected fun! Molly was so sweet to work with on accommodating our requests & was super responsive throughout the planning process. We had all of our details covered and even on the day of, she was making sure we were well taken care of! Meisha was our trainer and she was fantastic! She clearly knew how to move, and was great at making sure we could keep up. We laughed so much throughout the class and ended having learned a few moves, too. SO fun. No dance experience was required, there were dancers of all levels present and we all equally had a great time. Not to mention- great WORKOUT! I sweat ungodly amounts, but barely even realized until after it was over because I was so busy moving and grooving. Our instructor was extremely outgoing and made everyone feel comfortable, she taught the fun routine at a pace that accommodated everyone in the class. I'm thrilled that DivaDance Chicago popped up on Class Pass! If you're looking to learn some great choreography, have fun, feel confident, and be yourself then I highly recommend taking these classes. Molly is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. This is highly appreciated because often times dance classes can be intimidating. Every class participant I've interacted with is kind, positive, and genuinely happy to be in class. At the beginning of class everyone introduces themselves and shares a fun fact. Due to the small class sizes, it's nice to connect with the class members and the instructor. I feel that it's important to instill a comfortable environment when working out and DivaDance definitely delivers. Chantel always brings the fire with her dance moves. Not only is she a talented dancer, but also a great instructor. Her patience and motivation throughout class makes it easy to learn the choreography. This review is long overdue! I came here during the summer this year for a Yelp hosted event. We had the opportunity to take a DivaDance class. I've never done hip hop dancing before and basically have very little experience in any kind of dance, but this class was amazing! We were all different skill levels but our instructor Chantel made it so fun and comfortable for all of us. Both Molly (the owner of the studio) and chantel were so upbeat. Chantel did a really good job of teaching us the moves. This is definitely the best yelp event I've been to thus far. If you're a beginner and want to try a dancing class but are worried about not being good at it, don't worry at all, you will be just fine here and have a lot of fun in the process! I don't do class pass but I've heard you can take classes here as part of class pass. They have a calendar each month with classes for different hip hop songs and seriously it all looks really fun. I would love to come back here! Also if you're interested, they do personal classes for groups such as for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, etc which I will certainly keep in mind for the future. read more

I absolutely love DivaDance Chicago! I became a member in May when they opened the Chicago franchise and I've attended just about every class! I was never a dancer before, but I leave class feeling confident, sexy, sweaty and like I could conquer any dance floor! The choreographers are fabulous and cater the routine to everyone's talent level. The environment is fun and empowering and everyone (Molly, the owner, the choreographers and all of your classmates) are encouraging and make you feel good even if you messed up part of the routine :) I look forward to these classes every Monday and Thursday, not just to get a great workout in, but to slay with all of my new friends! I wish I could give DivaDance 6+ stars on Yelp!! Was looking for a Beyonce dance class to book for my sister's bachelorette party, and came across DivaDance Chicago. (Sidenote: I have been looking for a Beyonce dance class for the past few years in Chicago and DivaDance is the first one I found that offers them!). Could not have asked for a more perfect experience! Molly communicated with me up until the time of the event, set out the event schedule and checked in with me beforehand just in case we had last minute questions. A few of the bachelorette guests may have been a little hesitant, not having a ton of dance experience, but Molly's energy and enthusiasm dissolved any hesitation within minutes!! Her explanations of the complicated Formation dance moves were as clear as they were funny. She had us all getting into it and laughing in no time. At the end, we took a video, a few pictures, and a Boomerang to memorialize the night. We even "performed" the dance at the wedding reception :) I cannot wait to go back for future dance classes and would HIGHLY recommend booking them for a private dance class for a bachelorette party or birthday.
