Checked this hair salon out, they did a great job but they ended up cutting way too much than what I originally asked for. Then they layered it too much than what I asked for. When I asked the lady if she is layering a little bit, she agreed but it ended up being way too much. Amazing, I took my boyfriend here because he wanted a hair perm and needed a hair cut desperately. We were losing hope as we couldn't find any places where he can get a hair perm soon enough. We called several places but they couldn't do it or wanted us to wait weeks. However when we called here, the stylist was so helpful and nice. She accommodated a spot for us the day and time that worked best for us. My boyfriend had pinned straight hair so we wanted a wavy natural perm. I showed her a INSPO photo and it came out exactly how we wanted. The prices are also amazing. The salon was clean and super nice. We are definitely coming back!! This place can be hit or miss. My main hairstylist was Eli and she does a decent job with certain hairstyles and not so well with others. She messed up my last haircut (the perm really) and still had the audacity to charge me the full $60. Not her first time messing up my hair. Should've known not to go back. I won't be going here anymore. Update: I had to go to a barbershop the next day and pay $35 to have him shave it to fix what she did to my hair. The first time I went to this salon it was great... Convenient, easy to set up an appointment and close to my work so a great lunch activity. The second visit - ease of getting I was the same but the experience of service not so much. I initially was given the same stylist I had last time which in was excited about because I had such a great experience with her before. When we went over the style I was asking for she let me know she was not comfortable to due to a lack of experience and her honesty was fine with me. She brings in Diva to help talk her through what would need to be done. We talked about it and then I was told she would actually be doing the cut and teaching the other stylist in the process. I thought great, Clear communication, reference photos, here we go. Halfway through the cut Diva started doing her own thing and completely disregarded what I originally came in for. If you review the conversation attached you will get a better idea of what actually happened. Anyway - long story short - within seconds most of my hair was gone that I had wanted to keep. To top it off I was not told I would be paying an additional $40.00 for the cut. Online their pricing shows $80.00 for a cut (which is what I paid last time I was in) and I walked out $125.00 plus tip because I was "lucky enough for Diva to cut my hair. I paid what was due and ran to cry in my office. I reached out to the salon via email (attached I was understandably a bit cranky) to go over what I couldn't emotionally do in person to be gaslighted that "we took pictures and thought it looked great!" "We'll take $50.00 off next time" once I came back with the additional concerns, I never heard from them again. I was hopeful they would have reached out to at minimum apologize and take ownership of the mistake. Unfortunately this was not the case as its been almost a month since the last email. I won't be able to go back since my trust was broken. My advice if you go is to have clear communication before they cut your hair, as I said my first experience was lovely. read more

The proprietor Cindy provided an excellent solution to my hair problem: Few hair left with some bald spots on the top and hair falling flat on a boxy head (yes, boxy). Cindy gave me my first root perm on the crown, which generated the illusion of volumes of hair. It's not just the hair stands up more, but it literally looks like large volume of hair over the crown where there is actually thinning hair. She gave the rest of the hair large waves, which turned out to be soft and natural (Natural is in. We don't want the made up 40's and 50's look). In addition, she feathered the hair just right so the hair frames my face in a flattering way and layered the bottom so it doesn't fan out like a broomstick. The whole process took 2.5 hours and was very pleasant. I enjoyed the Korean K-pop steaming on the overhead TV which you could hardly hear. The environment is very clean and modern. I would bring my own drink the next time as this is a high quality, value service provider rather than the Beverly Hills style salon, and that is just perfect for me. read more

Been coming to this place after I got married because this is where my wife goes. At first I thought it is likes all other Korean salons where people come get their perms and chat away with each. After a few haircuts, I got talked into getting a perm without knowing that I wanted it. It was a long process compared to a simple haircut but a good experience knowing that this is what some women/men do to their hairs. I'm just a fade and spike haircut guy so I'm not too into all the details of salon products or services. But after awhile, after seeing people get perms, coloring, curls, etc. you tend to wonder what else can they do. The staff here are nice and the owner here changes her hair color every time so you know who she is. Easy people to talk to and price is reasonable. I have to be honest. I came to this place because of the great reviews. But I was very disappointed after my visit here. I asked for the hair style on the left and received the right. My hair was so blonde when she started blowing drying I asked her if this was still the bleach in my hair. I texted the girl that did my hair if she would fix it for me because it was too blonde and she responded "you want it more blonde". I just gave up at that point I went to my go to hair salon at JCpenny the next day to have it fixed and my stylist showed me I had a bald spot now right where the highest part of dye was in my because of all the chemicals they used. read more

The best salon in the South Bay area by far. The staff is so talented at what they do. Based on my last couple of visits, it seems that they have a team of about 4-5 stylists. I've cycled through most of them (I just choose whoever is available at time of my arrival) and I always leave pleasantly surprised with how well they style my hair. On top of this, everyone is extremely accommodating and friendly--so accommodating that they offer a variety of snacks and beverages to guests waiting to be attended to. But the best part of this location?: they offer a stamp reward card that gives you a free cut after your 10th visit! Definitely check this place out; I recommend for both men and women. read more

Just got the best haircut ever from this place! I called in to make an appointment for a haircut, wash, and blowout. I got my hair cut by Clara, I'm not 100% sure if I got her name right but that's what I heard lol. The first time I went I was given a great cut. Decided to go back a few months later to have my funky hair colors fixed. I had been growing out my hair during the pandemic and had 3 different colors going on. I knew bleaching was probably the only way to remove the remaining bottle color but had hoped for only processing the old colored growth. Instead I was given an all over bleach. She did a good job keeping my hair from frying with the two bleaching sessions it took, but I left with banana yellow hair. (The toner she used at the end didn't take at all.) It was partially my fault as she did not understand my request. ( I don't speak her native language.) I was able to mask it with lots of purple hair product, until time passed and I toned it to a normal color. I don't hate it now, and had we been able to discuss what was needed to fix my hair of many colors, I wouldn't have been so shocked when I left. read more

The salon is located in the corner of a small Korean mall, easy to miss, but I'm so glad I found this spot three years ago. I've been a regular since. The entire staff is friendly, though I only get my hair done by Cindy the owner. She has done haircuts and perms for me on several occasions, which always come out nice. I visited her today and Cindy managed to make my frizzy, long hair look nice just with a haircut. She is not only highly skilled but remembers her clients and listens to their requests. Love this salon! :) I received a trim and perm here from the owner, Cindy. I wanted a perm with natural-looking curls that looked on the looser and wavy side (not too curly). She made sure to give me a perm that looked just like how I wanted and it didn't damage my hair like previous digital perms and setting perms I had gotten before at other salons. She was also able to add volume to the top of my hair! I used to hate how my hair was so flat on top but Cindy worked her magic and gave me a roots treatment which she said isn't offered at most other salons since it's brand new and just came out in Korea! It really worked! My hair has just the right amount of volume now on top, something I've wanted for many years! Never knew there was something like this available! This place is the only hair place I have ever visited regularly in my life time. I regularly visited here every month for about 3 years from near DTLA. Cindy and other stylists are really kind and friendly to anyone visiting this place. Given the styles, the quality of services and their kindness, the price is relatively lower than other places. Also, they are really hygienic, careful and thoughtful in their services. I usually do not write good reviews a lot, but I would definitely recommend this place. One thing you need to make sure is it is better to book an appointment by a phone call first not to wait for a long time. It is too sad that I moved out of this area (far from LA), so that I can't visit this place a lot but I will definitely visit there again once I visit LA area. read more
