They generally have very nice items at good prices, and I've donated to them several times over the years because I support the cause. However, after a recent experience, I won't be donating to them again. Donations close at 4 p.m., and I arrived at 3:45 pm. I was told they were already closed. I showed them the time on my phone and pointed out that it wasn't 4 p.m. yet, but the employees rolled their eyes, gave me attitude, and only reluctantly accepted the items. There are plenty of other thrift stores in the area that are happy to accept quality donations and don't treat people who are trying to give nice items like dirt. I'll continue shopping here because the store workers are wonderful, but when it comes to donating, I'll be taking my things elsewhere.

We were initially taken aback by the vast offering of Jellycat plush toys. The employee (owner?) who was in explained that they offer a wide selection of Jellycats, many of which are considered rare or very challenging to get ahold of. In addition to the plush toys, they also had a large variety of perfumes and perfume testers to sniff. I was really excited to see one of my favorite perfumes, Juliette Has a Gun, available in such variety. I was followed closely around the store and repeatedly told not to touch items, which made it impossible to browse or shop normally. They won't let you look around the shop without following you around and asking you not to touch anything. Oh also they have a million perfume testers which they get mad if you smell them. Literally you cannot smell open samples of perfumes or they scream at you not to touch them. The overall attitude was very hostile and unwelcoming, which was surprising in a neighborhood where most small business owners are warm and appreciative of customers. I left feeling really disappointed because I had intended to give them my business. After mentioning the experience to a few other locals, I learned that others had similar interactions there. The manager was friendly and helpful, and happy to answer our questions about the set in the window. As we took a closer look at it, he told us he'd give the person who was selling it here a call to see if she could do any better on the price. After taking a quick break to grab coffee next door and do some research, we found that the set was priced very competitively as compared to what we were finding online. We went back in, made a deal, and my friend went home with the most beautiful set of bar glasses complete with a gold holder to keep them all in place. 10/10, would visit again.

In particular, this shop has an amazing collection of glass wear. Tons of rare sets from France and England, many unique highball glass designs.
