There wasn't a ton of racks with tons of items stuffed on them, which is what usually keeps me out of thrift stores. What I found was a really wonderful selection of items to browse through in every category. I never felt overwhelmed with browsing and felt I was able to find just what I was looking for. When reaching for the door handle I said to my husband, "Get ready, I bet this place smells like my grandma's house." No. It smells like tide pods and dryer sheets. All of the clothes smell freshly laundered. How do they do it? I'm not sure, but about half of the store is clothing and they are all nice and clean, so they must sort through their items pretty intensely before putting them out for sale. The prices were decent, and while I didn't find any special treasures to take home, I would definitely stop by again the next time I'm in Leavenworth.
