There are no reminders for sessions. If you try to provide feedback, they will yell at you. If you just want to do the 8 hours to get to the next stage of getting the license, then go with them. Keep expectations low as you won't learn anything! Their online 24 hour course - expect to spend way more than 24 hours. Their save and continue more than often does not work, and you have to restart the course and go through the painstakingly slow courses all over again. One of the courses, my daughter had to do 3 times with no progress saved, and we had to eventually call them to mark it as complete.

We chose Loretta Paganini School of Cooking because of Loretta's outstanding culinary reputation, but also because of their wide variety of class offerings. When we saw the breakfast class for crepes, waffles, and pancakes, the choice was easy. This isn't something obscure and is easily replicated at home. The Loretta Paganini School of Cooking is located in a snug and cozy older house. They have a small shop of chef-driven cooking supplies and one main room for cooking classes. The main room is smaller and I imagine can fit 10 people. This was my first cooking class ever and I loved the slanted mirrors on the ceiling to see instructions more clearly. Chef Loretta is SO talented that its probably easy to forget we're just simpletons, but she was able to laugh off the mistakes we made as true beginners. We had no idea what to expect prep wise, but everyone in the class was given different duties for the dish (so you yourself were never making it all). We ate the food as we went along and chatted techniques. Her assistants were great about providing water, coffee and general assistance when Chef was busy helping others. This was a fun experience and we would 100% return!

The standard package at the time was $495, so we paid an additional $130 specifically for those extra services. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, we were never able to schedule those additional services. The online system would not allow scheduling, and the only alternative date offered was during the school day. The school issued my daughter's completion certificate without providing any of the additional services we paid for. When she struggled with maneuverability during her driving test, we had to seek instruction elsewhere from another driving school. After two short lessons from that other driving school, she successfully passed and received her license. When I requested a refund of the $130 premium we paid for services that were never delivered, Heights Driving School refused to issue a full refund. After several emails, although they acknowledged the extra services were not provided, they never explained why they believed they were entitled to keep money for services that were never delivered. My concern is less about the money and more about the principle. Consumers should not have to pay for services that are advertised, purchased, and never provided. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Heights Driving School. It is a pity because I had attend this driving school ages ago when I was a teen myself.

This is the worst business I've ever dealt with and I would strongly recommend that anybody who needs driving instruction not deal with this business. First my son took the online instruction. Part way through his online instruction the program simply froze. We contacted Overbeke and we contacted their owner, Ari Klarfeld. We were told that Overbeke doesn't, in fact, administer the online course but instead they delegate that out to a separate company. We would have to deal with that company even though we paid Overbeke and not that separate company. I then spent 2 weeks trying to get through to that separate company. I finally threatened that I was going to contact the State of Ohio and only then did they respond to my emails. They finally solved the technical problem and my son was able to complete his online instruction. Thereafter we endeavored to complete his in-car instruction. Unfortunately the online instruction had been delayed so long that his temp expired and we had to renew it. After we renewed it we found out that Overbeke was booking 3 months in advance. We reluctantly booked his lessons 3 months in advance and then the day before his first lesson the instructor texted me and canceled. I reached out to the owner of Overbeke to reschedule his lesson and was told I would have to wait another 2 months for in-car lessons. This is a horrible company. They have no brick-and-mortar office. They list an address on Mercantile Road in Beachwood but if you go there it's closed, no one is there, and the door has a lockbox on it. I think they may hold classroom instruction there on occasion but nobody staffs this office on a regular basis. I have never been able to reach a person using their phone number. I have never received a return call despite my multiple phone calls to Overbeke with my multiple complaints. I have rarely received a return text and I have occasionally received a return email. There is no customer service and we wasted 1.5 years trying to get my son's license and finally had to get his in-car instruction with a different company. I would strongly recommend that anybody thinking about hiring this company use somebody else. When I went to the Mercantile Road location I actually bumped into another father with his daughter, also trying to figure out what was going on. Apparently their lesson had been canceled as well. I was skeptical at first because I'm that way with everyone but when I seen the way the instructors interacted with the students I knew this was the right place.
