Her hands are very dexterous and you barely feel her working on your teeth. She is also very thorough with her check ups, I feel my teeth are very well taken care of by her. I also have a dental implant from Baywell, the surgery was performed by Dr Luong herself. The surgery went smoothly, Dr Luong was very professional and explained to me the procedure and let me know what she was doing at every step. I recovered very quickly from the procedure. Overall, everyone I've encountered at Baywell has been pleasant and friendly. Just to name a few individuals that I've encountered at Baywell--Marianne the hygienist is very friendly, she does thorough cleanings and makes good conversation. Tania the receptionist is incredibly helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a good dentist to go to Baywell.

I had a problem of keeping my mouth open for a long time as my jaws hurt and they made sure I was comfortable and was not hurt during the procedures with extreme patience. For a person who generally has anxiety about going to the dentist for any sort of procedure, both Sera and Dr. Peter not only exhibited the highest degree of professionalism, but more importantly patience, throughout the entire process. Sera diligently walked me through all the steps involved in the procedure as well as all the important steps to take after the teeth whitening was complete, which really put my mind at ease. Within the first 24 hours after leaving the clinic, Dr. Peter made a follow up call to see how I was doing and to give me additional suggestions of how I could keep my teeth whiter for years to come, which I really appreciated! The procedure itself, was painless, and after having it done, I can't understand why I didn't do it sooner. My teeth look amazing! Maybe because of my last three surgeries in two years has affected my breathing, more mouth breathing vs nasal breathing. Dr. Goodman showed me how to swallow while smiling. I said this will be fun eating at restaurants! She laughed and said: no it's an exercise!! Haha!! We all laughed! Check ups are important. Then I showed up (looking/smelling like a hobo) and they were totally cool about it. Then I disallowed the cavitron 5000 from my cleaning and they were totally cool about it. The bottom line message I want to deliver to you in this review, is that I am never switching dentists again. Actually, that's not exactly true. I am never switching hygienists again. If Lisa moved to a different dentist office, I would move my records along with her. This was the most painless dental cleaning I have ever had. That statement is not a joke. I had not been to the dentist in 1.5 years, and there was a lot of cleaning that needed to be done; Lisa had brand new dental tools that she was delighted to break in on me. She was done in 45 minutes (I have historically had to break up cleanings into 2 visits) and when I inspected her work, I expected to see residual tartar and plaque because of the efficiency and painlessness of the service, but the cleaning passed the quality control inspection. I remain shocked by the quality of this cleaning and it has inspired me to floss more regularly, because I want to preserve the work that she has done here. This is my new hygienist and I hope that I die before she does (like... a long time from now) because I can't imagine finding another person that is this good at this job.

I appreciate reminders, but getting dates mixed up seem to be a subtle way to recall me more frequently. I feel bad for Bite because it used to be an amazing clinic with dentists and hygienists, but the high turnover and business operations pushed me to go with another dentistry.

However, it seemed odd that they said I had six cavities. They very patiently walked me through all the work that would need to be done, around $1,500 with my insurance. I'd never had a cavity before, it had only been a year since my last appointment, and nothing about my life had changed. I put off scheduling fillings and scheduled an appointment with a different dentist to get a second opinion. This was a year and a half ago and I've since seen two different dentists, neither of which said I had any cavities. When I mentioned this to one of them, she said that while there are two spots she's keeping an eye on, they don't need to be drilled. Because they haven't gone more than halfway through the enamel, they may resolve on their own. Dentistry is a subjective art. People have different thresholds for when they want to have fillings put in. I prefer to not drill holes in my teeth if it's not strictly necessary. You may feel differently. Just know that they set the threshold for drilling very high.

She did, however, took a few X-rays of my teeth to make sure they were healthy. We also took advantage of our visit to get X-rays taken of my daughter's teeth. I was advised to get a night retainer and they proceeded to scan my teeth to get me a new and proper retainer. The other great ladies in the office where as delicate as Dr. A Valiushka, being very aware that most people don't like having any work done in their mouth. I must say, these are the most delicate dental workers I have ever gone to. They will be our "Forever Dentist" from now on. And we don't even live in Canada! Have I mentioned we also had fun?
