When I have was having my teeth removed surgically, the dentist stated that they were falling out that they were not even really connected proper. When I did my teeth in December 2022 I went over a few units and was charged $114.00 which is not allot I know but the receptionist who is pretty new was rude about it when I told her I didn't realize my benefits changed and if there is something they can do about it. She said I will give you till the end of the month lol, December? during Christmas when times alone right now are hard with the cost of living increasing daily! She said no there is nothing they can do. I spoke to someone else in the office I am familiar with and asked if Colin can call me. He did not. I asked several times. She then called and said they can take off $14.00 and again asked when can you make the payment. For me it is the principal, I have been going there for well over 20 years and have given them my business even when I live well out of the area. I have been a loyal patient. When I called to say I will be taking my business elsewhere because Colin did not call me and I made a $50.00 payment she asked when I will be making the rest? lol.... not sorry to see you go. When I told her I will pay when I get the funds she did not sound impressed. This is how you treat your patients after all this time especially after going through the trauma of losing my brother the way I did. NO COMPASSION NOTHING....... Just when are you going to pay. Very nice.

It was the worst snow storm Toronto had experienced for some time and still my hygienist and a receptionist had made it to work! Yontela and Kenna, you rock! The office was very clean, organized, sanitizer everywhere. Covid prep for sure. Temperature taken at wrist and prior to the visit a covid form is completed online. I was early for my 3.30pm appointment (~3pm because my trip to the post office was cut short, being that they were closed). I came in with two large boxes and Kenna was so kind and friendly, she told me I can keep the packages in the closet during my appointment and just made my awkwardness that more comfortable. During my appointment Yontela was so kind and patient--she answered all my questions and was very professional and gave me her input. She did not make me feel bad that I had difficulty flossing behind my back mollers and continued to encourage me to try and keep trying. I felt, all around, given the stress of the snow storm, the commute, the lack of staff... Kenna and Yontela are superstars! Thank you for the great visit to the dentist... Today I went to the dentist for the first time in... none of your damn business…read more I was truly expecting to be floss shamed, cavity ridden and ridiculed for being a mediocre grown up. This was not the case. The hygienist was excellent and explained everything as she did things, let me watch Netflix on my iPhone, and asked if I needed breaks when I winced during the cleaning. Please don't let this last line deter you, the wincing is because I'm a wuss and again, deserved to be floss shamed. My new dentist, Dr. Walden was lovely, understanding, quick yet thorough and I definitely trust her with my smile. They're taking new patients, and if you have insurance they take the payment directly from your insurer which is mighty handy. Say cheese!

Often, in the past, when I go to a new dentist, I get the reaction of "Ooh, it's been six months…read moreplus one day since you last saw a dentist? [shaking head sympathetically] Tsk, tsk. [gesturing vaguely to invisible problems on an Xray] Well, I'm sorry, but here's the list of 14 things that NEED to be done. You do have insurance, right?" This was so not my experience here. I explained that my insurance runs out in two weeks and I have a sore tooth, so they squeezed me in to a short-notice cancellation. Two points for them there. I arrived late (my bad - had the address wrong) but they still whisked me in fairly quickly, and everything was done quite efficiently. I've been going to older-fashioned dentists in Oakland, CA where the Xrays were still being done with that horrid cardboard stuff and put up on lightboxes, so the digital ones that went on the overhead TV were kinda cool. Nice to be at a 21st century office. Dr. Walden and the hygienist were both really, REALLY nice. They were friendly and helpful, explained what they were doing and what the jargon meant, and despite the fact that it's been about 18-20 months since I'd seen a dentist, were not patronizing or casting about for things to stick my insurance company on. Actually, Dr. Walden was quite complimentary on my oral hygiene - so many dentists are rude or patronizing about it. The only problem they did find made complete sense (the corner of a 30-year-old filling was broken off on the tooth that was sore - now I understand why the floss kept snapping!), and the receptionist offered to fit me in this afternoon to get it fixed. Like other reviewers have said, no one LIKES to go to the dentist, but when they make it an almost pleasant experience, you can dislike it so much less. Addendum: I'm back from having that filling fixed. I will admit that dental work and needles in my mouth terrify me - a previous experience with an awful dentist in California that left me unable to chew on the left side of my mouth for *three years* - and Dr. Walden was very, very considerate and careful dealing with an obviously extremely uncomfortable patient. She kept up a reassuring patter throughout, interrupting herself frequently to keep me in the loop about what she was doing, explaining, checking on me, at one point informing me that I might want to clench my hands just a wee bit less since one of my fingers was clearly losing circulation... I sent my neighbour to her recently, too. His assessment? "She rocks!" And how often, I ask you, does someone hear THAT about a dentist? Second addendum: Have -you- ever heard of a dentist who emails you at 9pm on a Saturday evening to check how your new filling is holding up? I hadn't, either. Until Dr. Walden.

Dental visits in Ontario are not covered by the government, so any costs must be covered in cash or with insurance. Some dentists want to make extra money by performing procedures you don't need. And I believe Dr Branco was trying to do that to me. That, or he is incompetent. Either way C stay away. I've never had a cavity in my life. I also have a healthy skepticism for healthcare professionals -because I am one. So imagine my surprise when Dr. Branko tells me that I have six cavities- on my very first visit to see him. He diagnosed these using a device called something like the Diametrixs 3000. It sounds futuristic, for the 80's. While I confronted him in the office he started to tell me all of his credentials. As Shania Twain says, "That don't impress me much." So I promptly booked a visit to my previous dentist who discovered that I had in fact zero cavities. In my case I was not willing to trust the dentist and it paid off- both in terms of money and time saved, and pain avoided. I'd stay away if I were you.

Oh - the only thing is that they don't really have all the bells and whistles that a lot of other dentists have like TV's in the room (*gasp* I have to TALK to my hygienist?!) and video games in the goggles, but Dr. Branco (and Dr. Gorgi) are kinda hot...so that's eye candy enough ;)

Every interaction was professional, caring and kind. We had put off some major dental work, that we should not have, and the staff gently corrected our behavior and set us on the right path without judgement, without a heavy bill, and with compassion and connectedness. Over the years, we have developed some hesitation about going to the dentist because of previous bad experiences. I can truly say those fears are resolved because everyone that we interacted with was phenomenal and caring. And it starts right at the front desk with Neli, the manager, and Arthel, administrator. They really take the time to demonstrate authentic friendliness, not to mention, they also know their dentistry! It is a joy to speak with them on the phone and to see them when we come in. Dr Khalid, our dentist, is just one of the best at what he does and really takes the time to help you understand his thought process and treatment plan. He is very honest and highly skilled. Tunde, the hygienist is just awesome and thorough, She provides excellent advice, guidance, and your teeth feel amazing after a cleaning. And if you should ever need a tooth extracted, there is nobody quite as quick, effective, and skilled as Dr. Deen. We've been going to Dentists our whole lives, over forty years, and we've never been happier. Even if its something dreadful that we have to face, there is no better place to go to when you have a toothache or dental trauma. Regal Heights is simply the best. Great human beings and enthusiastic friendly professionals. We highly recommend them to our friends and family. Also, they seem to be able to accommodate scheduling every time which is also an amazing thing.
