Macaroni was extremely mushy & asked for replacement side. Potato Salad was better but basic. Baked beans had nothing on flavor, straight out of a can. Pineapple Bleu coleslaw was unique but missing something. Waffle fries & our chicken sliders were good. Brisket sliders were not seasoned & just a cold piece of meat. Pulled pork was seasoned & good with their sauce. Ticket for two was over $75 with about a 20% tip. Drink and 3 menu options. This place has great drinks and the bartenders are knowledgeable. However, this please had some really poor food. We ordered the 2 pounds of wings which is the most expensive item on the menu. They brought out some very overcooked wings and not only that they only brought 13 little wings. When you look up 2 pounds of wings you should expect 16-20 wings. This is a fun environment, parking is usually easy (especially if you check the lot behind the building first), and I really like the beer wall option/concept. It is really loud, service is patchy, and the food and cocktails seem expensive for what you get. It's a fun place to hang out with a group for an hour or two, but I would choose to go somewhere else for food (the area has several good options, so that's convenient). read more

The music was conducive to a positive atmosphere, and the drinks were good and decently priced, in addition to being made by very kind and fun bartenders. The only real downside to this place was the food. The pretzel was good but the cheese with is was a bit heavy, the chicken wings were over cooked and dry to the point that the sauce couldn't save them. I went to District 7 last weekend for a reunion event and it was my first time there. The event provided food and we bought our own drinks. I think this is pretty par for the course now, but I'm always surprised at the cost of drinks at bars these days - on average about $10 a drink. I expect to pay that at a restaurant, but this feels a little pricey for a bar. We also had to wait a long time for our drinks after they were ordered. We were in a private room, which I preferred because it was louder than most bars because of the bowling and other games being played. We didn't actually play any of the games, but I think this provides a unique experience that most bars don't. read more

I was excited to check out District 7 because I'm a fan of The Stave and they're both the work of Rebecca and Eric Burnworth. The place oozes style with warm woods, a splash of neon, and gorgeous light fixtures. This is a space to kick back with friends and have some fun while noshing on delicious German-inspired food. It also boasts the first self-serve beer wall in Lexington, which is genius. (You load up a card and use the card at the wall. You're charged by the ounce.) There's also duckpin bowling, a ping pong table, and a golf simulator room. For the food, you scan the UR code and order and they bring the food to you. I sampled the veal schnitzel and the rockstar salad. Both were superb! This place is only going to get better, especially when warm weather arrives. Open for lunch and dinner. So I found this location a couple years ago when we went to the Jelly Roll concert and the food was amazing. We have been thinking about this food for about three years now. So we had tickets to Creed so I wanted to go to our favorite place we found. Well after this trip we won't be back for dinner. I was wanting the Reuben sandwich and my friend wanting the grilled cheese. Well the bartender tells us that the menu has changed a couple times since those items was on the menu. In my opinion, it's not for the better so this location doesn't sell neither one of those menu items. So I got another burger because the last one that I got was amazing. This one cost more and was smaller. The taste was OK, but it wasn't worth the price. My friend had got some loaded fries which when I seen them, they did not look appetizing. She also got the jalapeño popper peppers. She might have taken a couple bites out of hers and she was done. Her son got the three sliders. He stated his was OK. I really hate that this place has changed the menu. It is a nice place to go hang out and have drinks. I only seen two workers in the building. That was the bartender and the cook whom brought the food out. So I wouldn't think they had enough staff members to accommodate if they was really busy. They have a golf simulator available as well to rent out hourly. Delicious food and drink options! Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday mornings. You can order by server, via QR code or the bartender. I understand the staff can get pretty busy at times so having a way to order without waiting around is pretty nice. They have domestic draft beers and seltzers at the bar as well as craft cocktails and if that doesn't tickle your fancy you can use the only self serve beer wall in Lexington that has a bunch of different options; IPAs, Ciders etc. It's a great addition to the distillery district! read more

Ordered at the bar instead. Food was terrible. My son ordered the meatball spaetzle. It was three meatballs on egg noodles. It was cold so he asked to have it warmed up. Came back with one meatball. Prices are terrible. We had two apps, two entrees, two sandwiches, and one drink each (4). Could have had a great meal at Carson's for less $$$. I went to District 7 for the first time for a night to celebrate with my friends for my Birthday. Upon arriving, we found a table and took a look at the menus. The prices for food are...okay. You pay the same amount for sandwiches and burgers as you do Carson's, so do with that what you will. I go up to the bar to begin a tab for me and my friends so we can place our drink and food order. The bartender did not seem very happy to be there as they were a bit snarky with our group. I ask them what comes with the plate I desired and they had to ask the kitchen because they weren't sure (I was very glad they made the effort to ask but was surprised they weren't sure). Then I ask what kind of flavored rum they have. The bartender, without hesitation, replies "none". Later that night, one of my friends shows me the cocktail menu that indeed has listed a cocktail with coconut infused rum. Upon further inspection of the wide variety of liquor above the bar, there was a passion fruit flavored rum sitting on the shelf. Are you kidding me? I couldn't even get the drink I preferred without any sort of explanation or effort to take a look to see what was available. Place was packed on a Saturday night (that was to be expected). Music was good, but slightly too loud for me and my party and we are in our 20s. The bartender could barely even hear us, lol. We tried to book a time to play bowling to end the night and were told by a separate bartender than the one above that the wait would be about 10 minutes. 30 minutes later we cancelled our bowling and just left and took our business elsewhere. Our bill was $84. It was me and my two friends. We each got an entree, and two of us got a drink. No bowling. $84 for three entrees and two drinks. Do with that what you will. read more

Took my kids to District 7 for dinner last night, which was a Tuesday night. I called prior to arrival to make sure kids were welcome, and was told under 21 were allowed until 9pm. The kids loved the duckpin bowling ($20 for 30 min, $40 for 60 min). We were able to finish one 4 player game in 30 minutes. We were greeted by a server when she saw us walking around checking the place out, and she could not have been friendlier. She answered all of the questions we had, explained how to get beer from the self serve beer wall, and anticipated needs before we had to ask for them (ie ketchup, extra plates, pitcher of water). There were QR codes everywhere to order food, but we were never told to use them, and were taken care of by our server like you would be at any other restaurant. We ordered the kids burger and pizza, which they both enjoyed. My husband and I shared the Tarte Flambe, and Schnitzel Entree. The Tarte Flambe was basically a flat bread with cheeses and bacon jam. It was delicious!! I would absolutely order again. We added a side of curry wedges to our flatbread, and I could take or leave them. They were basically potato wedges with a little sprinkle of brown sugar. I did not taste any curry. They were fine potato wedges, but nothing special. I don't eat veal, so I had the veal schnitzel subbed with chicken schnitzel. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly, and I loved the crispy breadcrumbs. There wasn't much seasoning to it. The sauce that came with it was good, but there wasn't much, and it was very thin. I like more of a thick gravy on my schnitzel. The potato pancakes were different than any I've ever had. Sadly, I wasn't a fan. It seemed like they had way more breading than potato. The coating was very thick, and there seemed to be some breading inside the potato mixture as well. Overall, I would not get this entree again. We had a great experience here, and would definitely bring the kids back for a game of bowling. I'll have to try coming on a weekend or later at night to see what the adult vibes are like, but from the family perspective it was a win. read more

Holy shit this place sucks. First of all they don't take reservations for parties UNLESS you are paying for one of their simi private party room that any one can come into and play the games in... but they will tell you over the phone that you have a reservation. So when you roll in with a party of 10 expecting to have seats for asses they tell you to sit wherever. Unless you want to throw down for an upgrade of course. Ok so we sit down. They don't have waitresses, or none doing their job anyway, you have to order through some app on your phone. Not entirely problematic but you can't ask about alterations or for special cocktails etc. speaking of... We ask a passing server? food runner? if we could order an Irish coffee, which was not on the menus, to which she tells us says "oh I dunno that's a question for the bartender" without breaking stride... So I go up and ask the toddler behind the bar if I can get an Irish coffee and without missing a beat she quips "we don't make those here"... uhhh ok... you don't put whisky in coffee... in a bar that serves brunch? And has coffee and whiskey? I can only assume that she heard the word Irish and shut it down because they are a proudly German establishment, I dunno, don't really care, it's a complete service fail to not even try to make something so simple whether it's on the menu or not. I'm guessing like most children working behind the bar she just learned to make whatever is on their menus and is not an actual bartender. So I'm like ok whatever, well how do we order brunch, it's not on the self serve portal at 11am on a Saturday? She says "We only do brunch on Sunday and Monday... they don't do brunch on Saturday but they do it on... Monday... I guess that's on me but who the f**ck serves brunch on Sunday and Monday but not Saturday? Lastly they don't "serve" beer, they give you a beer card and you serve your self from an automated tap... So if you like to be left the eff alone and not talk to any one or order anything not on the menu and serve yourself... this place is for you. If you want a functioning restaurant that has competent staff and an actual bartender mayyybe go some place else. read more

This is a cool new addition to the Lexington Distillery District! Owned by the owners of The Stave in Versailles, which I love, this is a social hall with duckpin bowling, free ping-pong, a golf simulator, bar, beer wall, and German food from German-isch. The menu has a lot of small shareable plates as well as full dinner options. We went opening weekend so of course there were some kinks here and there and entry flow was a little confusing but could see them streamlining the process as the evening went on. The bowling was fun and not too expensive! I appreciated the German/Alsatian wine and the beer wall offered mostly local beers that are approachable but familiar... would love to see some more variety and less common options. One of the owners was helping out at the beer wall to teach everyone how use the wall and to pour a good beer with appropriate head. Overall staff were very friendly and helpful! We tried the sauerkraut fritters and pierogis. The sauerkraut fritters were amazing and very reminiscent of appetizers at the Stave. The pierogis were not my favorite despite being a pierogi person so I'd probably try something else next time. Excited to see this place grow and solidify- it has amazing potential! read more

Way way over priced. Pay attention to the cost per ounce on the beer wall. You would be better off to go to any bar In town and ask for a free sample and you will get it. Didn't eat the food because it is not to my liking. Bowling is way over priced compared to EVERY bowling alley on earth. Cool spit and decor but that is all it has going for it. One of the worst dining experiences ever. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks. We finally went to the bar and retrieved them ourselves. No napkins or silver wear even after we asked for them several times. We waited 40 minutes for our food, despite the fact that it was a Tuesday evening and the place was empty. They got my husband's food order wrong and he ate it anyway. The rest of us received our food, but my 4 year old grandson had to wait another 25 minutes after our food arrived to get his meal. Staff is too busy talking to each other and socializing rather than doing their jobs. I rarely rate places publicly, but this was just a bad experience. First time there; won't go back. read more

This is a very unique bar, but be prepared for a big city type of experience. The service and prices are much different than the rest of the Distillery District. Beers were just under $9 each, and you have to pour your own using the beer wall. The service was terrible. I will absolutely go back for a special occasion because it's such a cool atmosphere, but I do not recommended for a casual evening to have some beers. There are much better options in the area, especially if you're traveling and wanting a local experience. I've not seen game prices listed, but on a weekday: Duckpin was $20 for 30 min, Golf was $30 for 1 hr (bring your own clubs), Ping pong was free. No happy hour. read more

Cool ideas but the execution is off and it's designed to squeeze every dime possible. You order food from one place and drinks from across the room. Then are asked to tip for each separately. The beer wall is insanely inconvenient. You have to sign up for a card and all this extra nonsense . The bowling looks fun but it's dead center and loud af. The constant banging mixed with the lights weirdly shorting out constantly made it the opposite of a chill place to hang. I ordered the Curry wings and the dry rub literally tasted like sugar and cappuccino mix. I'm pretty sure it's not curry. The Chicken schnitzel had one flavor. Mustard.
