I'm not sure that they even like children. When my older children were little, I used to bring them and that staff would interact with the kids and parents. Most of this staff just sits on side, ignoring children and adults. There is one lady, Miss Wendy that all of my kids love, but she's not there very much. They had an event this weekend and I am glad that we went in the afternoon. My friend got turned away in the morning only an hour after they opened. She said that staff very rudely told her that she should have gotten there earlier. Her children were heartbroken. They did have some people, mainly teenagers with volunteer name tags who were very nice. My little adored the older gentleman who played with him. They had the upstairs set up really cute with a Winnie-the-Pooh exhibit. But unfortunately, they said that it would only be there for that day. They had friendly teens in that space playing with the kids. Admission is not worth it, but their membership is a good value because it includes other museums.

Many of the pieces were painted from found images and personal photographs. I find her blending of light, color & images to be stirring in a singular fashion. In an earlier time, I had an opportunity to acquire a piece of her art called 'Smush' and have been an appreciator of her art ever since. It's strawberry season and it has become a tradition we go strawberry picking Mother's Day weekend…read more Cherry Place has been our go to spot. It's a small family farm and they are always super nice. The strawberry fields are well maintained. It's not as large as some other places we've been, but we like that. There were a few muddy spots which was advertised and we had rain recently, but the paths were easy to walk. It was a busy day so they told us we would have to look under leaves to find the ripe berries. We still ended up with 2 lbs of berries and my daughter enjoyed. They tasted delicious, too. It was $4 per pound when we visited and they had jams and other products available. My daughter's favorite part is visiting the animals. They have some chickens and goats that are easy to get to. Sometimes they have corn out you can feed them with or you can bring some food to feed them. There's also a sink to wash hands after. Be careful with your strawberries or take them to the car first. I was taking a photo and a goat started to grab my bucket of strawberries. Lol. We haven't been to their fall event but love the smaller feel for strawberries. They post updates and info on their social media channels.
