We consulted George on options for adding legs to an old vintage couch that only had caster wheels…read more Given George's long experience as carpenter and teacher, we wanted his opinion to make sure that we were going about it properly to avoid damaging this one of a kind piece. George is very "old school", which has its pros and cons. He only accepts traditional forms pf payments but also has the old school mantra of prioritizing customer satisfaction over profit. He was clear about giving us options that we could DIY instead of paying his hourly rate of $75/hr. In the end, we paid his $40 service fee and now have piece of mind to DIY.

Wesley did a horrible job on the sixth chairs. The material was all gathered and looked terrible. Deborah asked me to wait a few weeks and it will straighten it out. I called Carlos to discuss a deck-restaining project required by my HOA. He was very knowledgeable,…read moreexplained that he had completed many similar projects, and provided a clear quote after I sent him a few pictures of the deck. On his first visit, Carlos thoroughly cleaned and sanded the deck. He also went above and beyond by power-washing underneath it, an area that desperately needed attention. I had not asked him to do that, so I really appreciated the extra effort. When he returned to stain the deck, the finished result looked fantastic. Carlos was prompt, honest, upfront about pricing, and clear about what needed to be done. I am extremely happy that I hired him, and my deck now looks great and meets my HOA's requirements. I cannot recommend Carlos highly enough. He does excellent work and is an even better person.

He helped me mount a stained-glass window I've been wanting to display and he handled it with so much care and precision. It looks absolutely perfect--secure, level, and beautifully showcased. He also installed two new toilets for me, and the whole process was seamless. He was professional, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Everything was cleaned up afterward, and he made sure I understood how everything work before he left. Reliable, friendly, reasonably priced and skilled--exactly what you want in a handyman. I'll definitely be calling him again for future projects! Highly recommend.

Mr. Haywood is a scam artist. He was recently dispatched to my home through a home warranty service…read moreI purchased, Choice Home Warranty. I have some plumbing problems so I called the home warranty company and they dispatched Haywood Handyman. He looked at the leaks in my plumbing system on September 28. He said he was going to submit his diagnosis , as is required, wait for the home warranty company to approve or deny and he would return within a few days to complete the work. The warranty requires that I pay $75.00 to the subcontractor at the initial visit, which I did. Haywood never submitted his diagnosis to the home warranty company and ghosted me. He wouldn't respond to my email, texts, or voicemail. The home warranty company called and messaged him three different times. Today he submitted his diagnosis to them. He stated that he found no plumbing issues in the home. He rips people off through home warranty companies, so beware. And a side note: he showed up with a black eyepatch. The patch started to move off of his eye, and it appeared to look normal to me. That's fake too. His Yahhoo Local page pictures him without an eyepatch. It also says he's been doing business here in Wisconsin since the 90's. He told me he just moved to Wisconsin four years ago from Chicago.
