Excellent work! Would use them again in a heartbeat and have recommended them to friends already!…read moreWe had Lakes Region Construction & Remodeling put in new windows and fix our front stairs in September. Every day Peter would send me an email of the work he completed with pictures, which we appreciated as it is our second home and we were not there. Knowing what was getting done each day put us at ease. When I saw the work in person I was blown away! The house looks so much better! Peter was easy to work with! The contracting and payment schedule was simple and his prices reasonable. Overall, highly recommend!

Peter was able to diagnose repairs efficiently and thoroughly (while also accommodating our short-term time horizon). He was also very patient with our young kids who were at home during part of his work. Finally, Peter's protocol when taking photos and maintaining a correspondence allowed for comprehensive correspondence despite the fact that we couldn't be at home during much of the project. My entire family was impressed by his friendliness, thoroughness, and professionalism. Thank you!

After a meeting with my mother, and clear explanations of what we needed and her mobility issues, we got a quote from Cam at Careful Cut. After a few days of working on the project, Cam told my mother the work was done. Being a trusting person, my mom paid him. The work was not done. There was a large gap between the house and the railing (unlike the railing that was replaced) which was a major safety hazard for an elderly person. See picture. The railing that was there was splintery and not sanded. He also missed a number of spots when painting. We contacted him and asked him to complete the work. At first he said he would "see what he could do about the railing and that the door was in the way". Note that the door was only in the way because he forgot to account for door opening when building the steps. When, a few days later, we asked him again when he could finish the job , he sent a rude message then ghosted us. We had to hire someone else to finish the work. Do not hire Cam at careful cut carpentry

His estimate came in a timely manner and was what I was expecting to spend on the project. He started on the date he said he would and stayed in communication while he proceeded on the project. George has a very good attention to detail and takes his time to make sure it is right. He is easy to communicate with and knows how the project should look and be built. He keeps the work areas clean and takes pride in what he does.

He responded right away, gave a good estimate and we had him do the remodel. Work was done in the time he estimated and for the price he quoted. Quality of the work was excellent and he was able to handle all the little (and big) issues that one encounters in an old house. Very satisfied with all his work and hope to get him to do more this year.

The installation team (TY so much Abner & Ricardo) were not only highly skilled but also prompt and very professional. When the one day job was complete there was NO sign a work crew had even been on the property! Just a gleaming new bathtub, perfectly outfitted with all desired fittings. Old fixtures and building materials removed without a trace. Worksite was spotless, no muss, fuss, or even dust. All oak floors in bath and throughout our house were left gleaming. LIKE MAGIC we hired Long Home and.... in one day we had a beautiful newly remodeled bath area. From project start with Wolfgang detailing product and answering our every question, Veronica working to get us on schedule quickly, and on to the finish line with a very engaged PM available throughout the install day, the entire Long Home team aimed for and achieved excellence in customer service. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND LONG HOME

We…read moreboth had to adjust our schedule to ensure we could be home for the appointment as our schedule is not normal with day and night shifts involved. A rep called at 1:30 today, less than 24 hours before the appointment we had been waiting for, and asked several questions to verify and confirm, and the says they are booked for tomorrow so can we do Saturday. We both work Saturday so cannot. Several, and I mean many phone calls after we had scheduled already to try and schedule again after we had already scheduled. Every rep verifying our 10 am appointment for tomorrow. We ended up cancelling as this has been frustrating, and if they can't get their communication straight, what is the install and contract going to be like. On top of the fact every phone call was super quick and stressful with reps cutting me off just to say their standard phone call language. Terrible experience.

It's the reason I insistently seek out local and independent businesses for my various tasks and projects. Often times, they provide higher quality results for more than fair prices. Naturally, all of the aforementioned traits are applicable to NH Handyman & Inspection Services. The job was simple enough. All I needed was a quick patch up job for the broken paint on my shower ceiling. So, I sent out inquiries to several businesses that served the southern NH area. Funny thing is...ya know how many replied back with an actual quote? One. Just one. The same one I ended up hiring for the repair, of course. So many other businesses wanna chat with you on the phone before actually quoting either a flat rate or, at the very least, an estimate. Almost like they're trying to sell you something. One other business eventually gave me a rate, but it was way too high for my taste. Now, NH Handyman charges a flat rate between $225 and $450; though, it's unclear if that applies to every job or if that's just his hourly rate. In any case, he was clearly the most affordable choice for me. Besides, I'd rather give my money to my home state whenever possible. Here's another convenience this Handyman provides: he'll send you a link to book an appointment online. There's also one available via his website. Convenient AND inexpensive. That's what's up! I find it hard to believe no one ever took the time to review this business before me. Ah, well. At least I get the honor of being dubbed the "First to Review" badge. Seriously though, I couldn't recommend a better alternative if I tried. Give this one a try. Just send him photos of what you want done and he'll usually send you an accurate quote within minutes. And with that, I'm giving NH Handyman & Inspection Services 5 shower ceilings spackled in paint perfection out of 5.
