We recently bought a property with a barn, which had a very leaky roof that needed to be replace. I contacted Clayton and Sons along with several other roofing companies to get an estimate and timeline. Brian was able to come the next day and gave me a verbal quote right on the spot, and a written quote later that day. I was pleased with how quick this was. The estimate was extremely competitive with the other quotes I was able to receive. Throughout the whole process, Brian demonstrated good communication and was efficient with the whole job. Clayton and Sons Construction corrected a flaw in the original roof installation of a prefab house in Lakes Region, NH. Brian came quickly and by the next week his crew of three well seasoned roofers were onboard replacing the ridge line and correcting incorrect plywood installation. In addition, they nailed down roof vents, They spied separated siding that exposed insulation and readjusted it. All were polite, informational and very neat. I needed an emergency roof job, due to wind damage and an old roof that was leaking. It was just a few weeks ago and rain and snow were coming soon. I called Clayton and Sons for an estimate and a timeline on when the work could be done. Brian called me right back, gave me a VERY good estimate the next day and the next Wednesday the work was done. It looked great and they finished in one day, as I was in a panic about the weather. reroofing job done quick but not well. asked for fixes at drip edge due to roof runoff going behind gutters. took too long to try to get fixed and only done partial way. wanted me to pay for fix. not impressed. read more

Brian came out and gave me a quote for a barn that was built in the 70s to have it vinyl sided. The quote was reasonable and I scheduled time to do it. Brian and his team were great they were efficient and professional . There customer service as well beyond what I expected and there was good communication. Brian and family made a stressful leaky skylight situation seem so simple to fix. Showed up right away to evaluate the situation and replaced it in an extremely quick manner before another rainfall. They showed a sense of urgency to meet my roofing needs and were dedicated to get the job done right! Their attention to detail was amazing. If you need roofing, this should be your first call. They just did a roof for us on a ranch home. The crew knew what they were doing and did a quality job in about a day of work. The property was left clean so you wouldn't have known they were there. There was a glitch with the company that sold them the roofing and Brian called us, to let us know and then did what he needed to to make it right. We were very happy not only with the work but with the ethical business that they are. read more

Don't use Clayton and Sons Construction. I asked for snow guards installed on my metal roof and got snow rails, I didn't not want snow rails. I had said I wanted black and was told no problem. After a couple times not showing up with no call or email telling me they weren't coming, I was finally told they were out to be painted. I was told they could buy them in black. . We again, rescheduled installation. They came I think on the 4th install date. I went out to look at how it was going and saw they were installing snow rails! I wasn't happy but decided to go with the rails so they wouldn't have to eat $2200.00, Merry Christmas. Then the father wasn't going to reduce the price until I complained and paid a couple hundred less. Less than 45 days later the paint was peeling off the rails. I wrote an email to them and have not had any response. Court next. BTW the previous comment by Rachael S...their office manager's name is Rachael S. Coincidence probably not. Update: 11/21/17 went up to fix and remove some rails...set screws were loose on most which is the reason some rails moved with the snow. New Metal roof scratched because of this. Now have to go back up and fix the scratches. The gift that keeps on giving. read more
