I absolutely love and adore the Disney Junior dance party it is one of the first things that we must do at least once a day when we visit the parks First off they do not allow people to enter too far in advance of the showtime they do have people wait in a line in queue for 15 minutes prior to showtime then they open the doors and allow people to come inside anyone with strollers must park it outside of the line queue We have personally come early so we can be first in line so we can get first row seats I don't feel this is necessary at all because as much as I have gone to this show and we have gone 10+ times ... I have also walked in just before the doors closed and we still got great seats and getting front row seats is not a necessary thing to enjoy the show. seating is very open floor style the kids are free to run around and do as they please as long as they don't run onto the stage and pose a danger to the cast members The show itself last maybe 20 to 25 minutes long definitely keep the children engaged it keeps the energy high up there is even some things that magically fall from the sky during various parts of the show. I personally find that my children like listening to the introduction songs of Disney Junior shows if that is your child they will love this show that is what they are all about music dancing characters coming out fun If you have children in any age range and they enjoy Disney Junior I highly recommend you see this show couple of things they do not allow you to bring food or drinks inside the show so if you do have an open beverage or snacks out and open they will ask you to please put them away you can definitely bring bags in there but this is not a eat and snack type of show

Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2016 2016 is our second consecutive year we are annual pass holders at Disneyland. Our family friend who lives in Irvine (also annual pass holders) introduced us to Disney Jr. Live on Stage in 2015. Our first experience in 2015, I didn't like sitting on the very damp carpet (this was due to the snowflakes that fell in previous shows making the carpet wet in some areas). Our then two year old enjoyed the show. The show consisted of one main theme about Minnie Mouse's Surprise Birthday and a few short skits from other Disney Jr shows. We came here recently and since our first visit our son has watched the shows on the Disney Channel (unlike our first visit). It was the exact same show as 2015- Minnie's Mouse Surprise Birthday theme, Doc McStuffins, Sophia the First, Jake and the Neverland Pirates. It's entertaining but I'd like them to change up the show to a different one each year if possible. Seeing the same show from 2015 and now it's repeating in 2016 is boring (also these may be viewed in cartoon format as well on the Disney Channel). They like to pack parents and kids in like sardines sitting on the floor, what would be nice is actual bench seating at the very least. It's located in California Adventure and is a good way to get a reprieve from the hot Southern California afternoons :) Stroller parking is located outside. Best to be the 20th person in line to guarantee a middle of the theater seat on the floor. Noelle's Notes Seating on floor Not bad for toddlers Same show as 2015

My 4-year old loves this! It's usually packed and my daughter is usually in awe the whole time, but she thinks it's great. If your kid's into Disney Jr., he/she will likely be a fan too.

GREAT place to visit if you're visiting Disney California Adventure with young children. Our girls (2 1/2 yr olds) LOVED it !!! As a matter of fact, they loved it so much that we went back to see it again the next day. + Kids loved seeing their favorite Disney Jr. characters on stage (puppets with a live host). Current show features: Doc McStuffins, Sophia the First and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. + A/C!!! + Fun effects: "snow", bubbles and "gold doubloons" falling from the ceiling. + No need to wait in line for an hour to get a "good seat" - even though a lot of people do. You can actually show up 10 minutes before showtime (like we did) and still get in because the theater is quite large. + Several shows throughout the day. - Floor seating, but there are a few benches on the sides of the theater.

Date of visit: March 26, 2016 Being the Disneyland/DCA completionists we are, my girlfriend was curious about watching the Disney Junior stage show... and even though we're not the target audience (especially as we don't have kids yet), I obliged my lady. We found seats on the floor away from as many preschoolers as we could (you'll see why in a minute), and made ourselves as comfy as possible for what was a surprisingly long show for the kiddies. If you're familiar with Disney Junior programming (in my case, due to showing it for the kiddos at work), you'll recognize the characters from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates in this puppet show. Lots of singing and dancing around will be in effect - which is why Kat and I stayed near the back of the room, so no overly enthusiastic kids would step on our hands accidentally. And, watch for surprises such as soap bubbles showering down, (paper) gold doubloons falling from the rafters, and even streamers towards the end of the performance. Yes, we're not exactly the target demographic of this program... but hey, the kids around us were happy. And besides, for us this could be considered as research as to what to expect once we have little ones of our own!

This is s super cute show! It's highly interactive and all of the little munchkins in the audience are always jumping up and down. They sing, clap, jump around, and dance! The children chase bubbles, streamers, and gold paper coins that fall from the ceiling throughout the performance. I do not watch the shows that are featured in this performance since I do not have children. But, my niece knew all of the characters and watches this stuff religiously! The children are quite familiar with the characters and it's pretty neat to watch their little faces light up when the characters rise up from underneath the stage. Stroller parking can be rough so my hat goes off to all of the parents that have a serious strategy to bypass stroller congestion outside of the studio!

With kids, a trip to Disney Junior Live on Stage is a treat, especially after a full day at the park, getting a chance to sit for 30mins in an air-conditioned room is nice. The seating is on the floor and some padded benches along the wall. The show is interactive - kids are encouraged to dance and sing a long. The theme is Mickey and his friends are planning a surprise birthday party for Minnie. They share their adventures with Handy Manny, Little Einstein, and Jake the Neverland Pirate. There are 4-5 shows a day - last show starting at 4:15pm. Stroller parking is alongside the left of the entrance near the restrooms.

She advised that my child not return to the theater class - my child was only 6 and was signed up for the appropriate 4-8 year old class. My boy enjoyed going to class, he said he didn't enjoy class ONE time and she ran with that message - I was told not to come back and not to sign him back up next time. She said this to me in front of an audience/parents before (the last day of class) performance. It was very unprofessional to not pull us aside in private to say this. It was disheartening for a mom to see that she was so quick to judge who can stay and who shouldn't. Perhaps, she has limited knowledge of how boys are different than girls but she definitely caters more towards the girls? I'm sorry if my boy was more active and more outspoken than the others. You can tell a lot about a person - have you seen her drive? You definitely don't want your kids near her. Anyway, I've also seen a play here in the past. For the size of the venue, the play was very well organized and professional. All the actors were all very well versed and seasoned. I would go back only to support the plays.

I want to say that the theater holds maybe 75-100 people...? Comfy seats and every seat is a great view. Prices are great, our last show was $39 each. There is a bar with drinks and snacks, we've even seen shirts for sale! We are considering purchasing a "B Season Pass" so we don't miss out on the shows this coming year, some sell out fast! Everyone is amazing and gracious in spite of doing this over and over and I'm certain no two shows are the same. I would only change one thing and that is that the theater request all guests to have a slight bit of theater etiquette. I understand this is an audience friendly show with interactions between cast and audience, some of these families do not prepare their children for how to behave nor correct inappropriate behavior during the performance. At last night's show a young boy hit "Billy" so hard with the stuffed rabbit that his glasses flew into my lap 5 feet away. We noticed "Billy" had a band aid on the rest of the show. Whether that was a joke or real, the boy should have been reined in by his parents long before because he was also talking or shouting out through the performance. The cast handled it with ultimate professionalism and rolled with the "punches" as it were. This truly shows how amazing they all are and why The Maverick is a great place to see a show. Now if they would just do Clue on stage again ;-)

It was definitely a lot harder to see if you're seated too high up compared to Toyota Arena. The rink got colder as the show went on, so definitely bring a jacket. My kids didn't enjoy this show as much as the Frozen and Encanto one we saw last year. This show had very little special effects and more "couple" dances, but they all looked very similar after you see the first one or two. We did enjoy the cars performance because it was a little different, and then moana's act at the end. My daughter's favorite princesses are Elsa and Ariel, but Ariel never appeared for this show. There were 2 songs from Frozen 2 though! Even so, we had a nice afternoon here with the family.

Great for younger kids with shorter attention span, say pre-schooler and elementary kids. Personally, for me as an adult, it's not something I would watch on my own or if I'm going to attend with just fellow adult friends. The show feels a bit amateur and all over the place. I prefer performances with a better plot and theme that strongly ties in together. It's as if this show is put on for the sake of trying to lump in all Disney characters into one show however possible. But little kids like it and that's all that matters. Sacrifices of parenthood. The venue is "okay". Food is super expensive ($20 for 2 slices of pizza) and not even that good. No outside food allows whatsoever and you can't bring bags bigger than 8x5 or something small like that (they tell you on the website). Parking is $20.
